I had heard about the place but never been so decided to take my toddler to have a look. He was delighted with the lovely pumpkins on display outside when we arrived. The farm shop/butchers looked well stocked and everything looked great, we had a cup of tea and a babyccino with a tractor shaped ginger biscuit in the cafe. Before we left we went to say hello to the cows on site, which my little boy loved! Really cute little place and I’ll definitely be back on my own to have a proper browse without a demanding 3 year old telling me off!

The fresh meat here is really good quality, it still beat expectations, the selection is good and they do some different flavoured sausages & burgers too. The cafe looks nice but I didn’t stay for a drink I did however treat myself to a lemon muffin on the way out which was also good. Fresh food and homebaked goods from here are much better than any super market could offer. Highly recommended!

Ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast which was £8.50 and it came with ONE piece of toast. Absolute rip off. Also kitchen/waiting staff thrash around the place being very very noisy clattering pots and pans. Very unpleasant - avoid.

Was staying in the area for a family event and decided to have Sunday breakfast here instead of the hotel buffet option. Definitely a much better choice! It was very busy even though we got there 15 minutes after opening, but we managed to get a table. The staff were friendly, the food was served quickly and it was excellent. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

I was genuinely shocked when I saw the price of drinks in this place. I live locally and was looking forward to finding a local business to make my regular coffee stop among making other purchases. However I really can’t understand why the coffee is so expensive?? ….. I go to a lot of different coffee outlets and these prices are the highest I’ve experienced. Therefore I’m sorry to say this will not be a regular visit for me. It’s a shame as the shop and surroundings are nice enough.

Lovely little place - I visited the butchers and got 2 packs of chicken, meatballs, burgers, chilli stuffed peppers and salt and pepper cobs for £25. The scouse lady behind the counter was very friendly and very helpful. All lovely meats and can tell the difference from supermarket meat. My only criticism is that there are no Use By dates and no cooking instructions so I was unsure how long everything needed - a cooking novice like me needs that! I definitely think this would help people in the future.

Came as a family for lunch. The food was superb and cooked fresh to order. My wife and I had homemade minted lamb pie with chips. My daughter had a minted lamb baguette full to bursting. Her partner had suckling pig baguette with stuffing and apple sauce. Both served with salad. Our pie was as good as I've had in a long time. We then bought cakes and took these home along with meat from the adjoining butchers. Lovely lunch and lovely staff.

I visited with my daughter today. Looked a nice place till we got out of the car. There was a strong 'farm smell' very unpleasant also smelt of butchery and raw meat. It made me feel sick. The food was not good, particularly the cream of mushroom soup my daughter had. I over heard some of the staff speaking disparingly about vegetarians. I found this offensive. Also noticed on leaving cafe right next door they are actively butchering animals. Horrific. One to avoid.

Called on our way home after visiting Warrington.. What an unexpected pleasant surprise. Saw the sign and pulled in. First you see this great butchers shop with superb meat selection then you walk into the cafe. First I will say is the staff are lovely, especially the scouse girl. Lovely place and we sat by a nice fire with a good coffee. We shared a most delightful Welsh rarebit which was both large and great tasting with salad and crisps. So reasonable. We took home a piece of key lime pie which was also good. All products are from the farm itself. Will certainly go again.

A nice farm shop with good stock for the locals. The atmosphere was nice. Sadly the food was a let down. The hog roast baguette was disappointing the meat was dry, no crackling and not much flavour. Not worth £7.99. Coffee was more of a latte than a flat white. However there are friendly staff I would visit again for the farm shop but not the lunch.

Been using this shop for a number of years, even before the cafe and makeover. Last two timesI have gone in to get steak and there hasn’t been enough, or nothing in the back. It’s a shame as I ended up in Bents, and I prefer to shop local and the ribeye when it’s in is very good hence the 3 stars. Get some high end steak in at weekends please.

This is a top quality farm shop with accompanying cafe. All produce comes from the farm and is really good quality, especially the wide selection of meats and cuts of meat. The range of in-season veg is as fresh as you like and again, perfect quality. That's what you get with this sort of place, high quality! You might pay a bit more than at the local supermarket but it's so worth it. We tried the cafe and were taken aback at the range of food on offer. All cooked on site and again, sourced at the farm. Really good portions and served well by the staff. We'll definitely make this a regular place.

To be able to walk down and have coffee and a snack is great. After the recent wind damage to the goat and bird area, along with the subsequent clearance you can see more development potential. Loved this little bar for quite a while now however it's appeal seems to be dropping. This is a very versatile venue; all are welcome which is great; it's one of its assets however the barman is the most miserable in the whole town. Maybe this could be an attraction for the venue but, to us that come here regularly, he's hard work and hard to feel glad to have come in here rather than the other places on offer.
