The Kirkfield Restaurant in St. Helens

I go here once a month to meet a friend for lunch as its halfway between our homes - and we're never disappointed in the service or food. Lovely.

Great pub and restaurant, nit stated in hotel but would imagine just as good as the other services they offer. Good range of ales and beers, food was amazing, worth waiting for the freshly cooked variety the Sunday roast looked mouthwatering. Definitely will return.

Fantastic food and exceptional service

Just visit for real ale and sometime meals as live not far away. A lovely hotel ,nice staff, garden at back (if nice weather)

Whist it is a hotel it is also open to the general public. It has a lot of different areas, depending on which entrance you go thru brings you into a different area and ambience. There is a small bar at one end, which has a great selection of beers that includes guest beers, which regularly change. You can stay in this 'small bar' area or walk into a very civilised area with big sofas and high- backed leather chairs to relax and drink your pint. At the other end is the restaurant area, which you walk thru on hot/sunny days to enter into the small beer garden. The place has a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. A really nice place to spend a few hours chatting the day away with friends over a good quality beer. Not eaten here yet!

We booked The Kirkfield hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was the best decision ever. The hotel is lovely, exactly what we were looking for. The staff is amazing and the food delicious. The location is very good too, parking spaces available just opposite to the hotel and a lovely park to take a stroll. We will be back soon!!! Thanks you

I went for a meal here and I've never felt like I've been scammed so much in my life. I paid £18 for a chicken curry that was half the size of ready meal from Aldi, with about 1/4 of the rice.. also had a sausage roll that was had none of the exotic flavour mentioned on the menu and it was a 1" piece of sausage in puff pastry. My friend also had a ceasar salad which was pathetic literally just leaves with a few pieces of cheap processed chicken and a very light drizzle of olive oil. The meals did not even begin to satiate our hunger and we went for a McDonald's on the way home. I left feeling like I had been robbed!

Very poor experience today. BEWARE PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES - NO STAFF ASKED. Staff pleasant but slow. It was a meal to celebrate a birthday, just 5 of us. We arrived earlier than the birthday girl(who’d recommended the place) so we went to the bar. We stood at the bar for almost 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. // When our guest arrived, we went through to the restaurant. We waited a while for the birthday girls drink to arrive and a very long time for the food. We don’t want ‘fast food’ however, my son could see his garlic bread on the kitchen counter a good 10 minutes before it arrived. // The amount of food served and the taste was very disappointing for the money. My £16 chicken roast (they’d run out roast beef by 2:40pm!) was a tasteless, dry, tiny chicken breast with 3 roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, a very small handful of basic veg (the veg was nicely cooked though - I just needed at least three times more of it! ) // Two members of the party had the £22 lamb. It consisted of four minuscule slices of meat with no taste and minus the hazelnut crust, again served a sprinkling of vegetables - that allegedly was served in butter. Our guest had one fondant potato. My husband , who eats low carb to control his diabetes, skipped the potato and asked for extra vegetables instead - they weren’t generous! (I know there are rising costs, but it was only cauliflower, broccoli & carrots.) // One son just chose the garlic bread that arrived lukewarm, plus honey & mustard chicken wings. The bees must have been on strike, they must have been too busy eating the whole grain mustard to make honey! 🙄 // Eldest son had a £22 sirloin, which was a rump. It was fine, but not many chips (that he said they were delicious,) served with half a tomato, an invisible mushroom and a very little amount of peppercorn sauce. // We couldn’t complain in front of the birthday girl as we didn’t want to upset her & she’d chosen the venue , but what a waste of £124. //There are much, much better places to eat where you get what you pay for.

I love it in here, surroundings are lovely, staff are amazing, I only popped in for a brew to kill a few hours whilst my car was getting fixed, I come back often now for a brew and take the dog to the dog friendly area, really nice place.

Amazing breakfasts. Dog friendly (bonus) and fantastic staff. Highly recommend a 'Kirky' although the omelette is 👌 too.

Friendly staff, good quality food

Myself and my partner stayed last night to celebrate our anniversary. We chose the Kirkfield as that’s where we had our first date. Our experience was absolutely amazing! From start to finish the staff made sure everything was perfect… cannot thank them enough. My partner proposed in the restaurant whilst the live singer played our song which the staff helped to arrange. We had a room upgrade and complimentary drinks to celebrate and the staff even caught the moment on video for us 🥰. Thank you so much to the whole team for making the night so special 💖💍

The room was lovely and neat with nice comfortable bed and a lovely fluffy shower gown for that added touch. Staff were friendly and helpful and always available when needed. Breakfast was good with a nice variety available, too. Parking is either on street parking or paid parking at the church opposite the hotel. I highly recommend it for a comfortable rest.

Your prices are a disgrace, It's Newton le-Willows not London, I was charged for a double spirit with coke £10.30, this was not a mistake, i had one and left, will never return.

A pre-dinner drink on the High Street this place was busy early Saturday evening. The food looked very good and the homemade pie looked enormous. However I’d not eat here as there was a strong smell of urine even before you got to the toilets and it was eye watering when you were in them. Back to the drinks and they were all fine.

The three of us visited on Tuesday lunch time. We hadn’t been before so no preconceived expectations. We had a warm welcome by staff in the bar and restaurant. We had a choice of table and chose a very comfortable booth type arrangement. The chicken pie was huge as was the battered fish. Lovely fresh vegetables and crispy golden chips. We couldn’t fault anything and had good value for money. We will definitely go back. Thank you Bernadette for being so attentive and fun.

Had another go at the 'Steak night' and it didn't disappoint. The steak was succulent and tender, the chips are amazing and a lush pepper sauce. We had a smashing waiter called Louis who was chatty and friendly and a credit to the 'Kirky'. Can't recommend it enough, great value for money too. Needless to say, we'll be back!

Nice comfy seats and atmosphere. However, my partner asked for a Diet Coke without ice and they put ice in the glass. When asked to remove the bartender poured the coke over her hand to remove the ice. When my partner and friend said what happened I went to the bar to ask for a fresh drink. The bartender told me my friends were liars and walked away. A man behind the bar who I believe was the manager made me a fresh drink. We didn’t order any more as we’re afraid of what might be done to the drinks.

I visited here my husband, dad, brother and 2 daughters to celebrate my dad's retirement. There was a small hick up to begin with, there was no record of our booking ( luckily I still had the messages from Holly confirming the booking) but regardless of this the ladies that were on duty were very accommodating and resolved the issue without fuss. The team that was on duty on the 2nd November couldn't so enough to make our experience a great one! My daughter asked for a mock tail and without fuss the girl behind the bar knocked one up. The food was 5*. I had the spaghetti Bolognese and it tasted so fresh, with lots of flavour, everybody within our party had nothing but positive comments to make about the food. Thank you for helping make my dad's retirement meal memorable. The management should be so proud of the team that were on duty that evening as they delivered above and beyond customer service.

I took my Mum out for lunch, we were looking for somewhere in Newton and initially went to a pub on the High St but were ignored by the manager/owner so.we went to the Kirkfield. Given a warm welcome by Ella and the service continued to.be excellent throughout. Ella had finished her shift before Mum and I left but she is a credit to the hotel. We had lovely food and the premises is nicely decorated, very clean and toilets immaculate.and lovely smell as well! Will return.

This is our 2nd visit as a family and it’s our new favourite place. We will make the 20 minute journey regularly as it’s way better than anything else close to us. Excellent food at very reasonable prices and the staff are simply amazing, so professional, friendly and helpful. The owners clearly value customer service and know how to run a restaurant properly. Drinks are also fairly priced and when the sun shines, they have a lovely beer garden. Clean, good food, fairly priced and great service. What more could you want?

First visit, family celebration. Lovely food and great atmosphere. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. It was extremely busy but they were very attentive. Would definitely visit again.

Stayed here for one night as we went to Haydock Races to celebrate a friend's birthday, the staff,the service was impeccable they couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect.

Hadn't been here for a while,but pleased to say it was as good as ever....lovely food,reasonable prices,and great service from Bernie and the lovely young man behind the bar. Poor customer service both me & the woman next to me was waiting at the bar but was ignored as two lots of clearly regulars that the bar staff knew and was talking about being in their previous day, if you don't wanna serve me I'll take me money elsewhere.

Disappointed with the breakfast. Used to be really good. £9 for full English with drink included. Now it’s been increased by 33% to £12, which I found quite excessive. However, the main reason for the poor rating is that the coffee I ordered was pretty much hot milk. Couldn’t drink it, and you now only get 1 round of toast instead of 2. Shame really as I liked popping in here for a breakfast after the school run.

Came for dinner, nice surroundings but honestly will not go back. Poor value, food uninspiring. manager sits watching everyone, very unfriendly man! Loud gang getting drunker and drunker at the bar, not a nice dining experience! Manager did not care. I have looked at previous reviews and note that responses are very defensive and the customer is always wrong! I won’t be checking for a reply 🙄

Amazing service and food. I came here for lunch with my friend and her little boy on Bank holiday Monday, we hadn’t booked in advance but we were given the warmest welcome. We were given a kids activity pack which was brilliant and Holly explained all of the specials when seating us. Food came out fast which tasted fresh and delicious. Desserts were amazing too, really good portion sizes. Overall a lovely experience and will definitely be returning. Thanks Holly and team, keep doing what you’re doing! x

I have eaten here 3 times. The food is pretty good, with a reasonable menu selection. The last visit, being on a Sunday, we tried the roasts, which were good but not exceptional. The service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a hurry.

Tonight we were out for a special family meal for my brother's birthday (6 of us). Wonderful ambience, live music being played at a good sound level so it added to the atmosphere. Great seating and lighting. The food overall was wonderful, and well presented. However, what has compelled me to write my first review in ages is the standard of the customer service. There were some issues with two of the main courses, and I was so impressed with the professionalism of how it was handled. There was a genuine care for getting it right for the customer and attention to detail that I haven't seen in a restaurant for a long time. This extended from the managers/owners, the chef and the team serving the food. Well done the Kirkfield, and thank you for a very pleasant evening!

Me &my other half went on 23/07/21 and booked a meal for 13.30, prompt service young lady sorted us out as we wanted to sit in the shade in the garden. We had a brilliant meal and we both glad we got there when we did as the garden quickly filled up.Highly recommended with food and atmosphere.We will gladly return ASAP.Many thanks to all the staff including the chef's.Noggin

We love it here! We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The food, staff and atmosphere are fantastic! I had the fish special last time I came here and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the tastiest meal I have had in a longtime! By far the best restaurant in Newton.

Called on spec for Lunch after a walk with My wife and grandson.Lovely young lady showed us through to the garden at the rear of the property,where another lovely young lady served us.We had a delightful time,absolutely nothing notwarranting a top rating.The food(2 had sandwiches,the other had jacket potato) was superb,freshly prepared and delicious,the ambience in the garden was lovely,the value for money ,especially in this day and age ,was brilliant,but the crowning glory was the delightful service ....what lovely staff!!especially Bernardette who served us at table.Take a bow,all.Definitely a good move to Have lunch at the Kirkfield.Definitely going back.

A lovely restaurant and staff can never do enough for you. Lunch menu is great value and the main dishes are always high quality. Also a fab pub if you just want to go for drinks. Love being walking distance from this place, one of the best places on the High St, where we are spoilt for choice for great restaurants now.

The girls waiting on were friendly and attentive and the restaurant is very smart and clean. However the food is overpriced for what it is and the cooking was poor. I ordered lamb kofta. The rice was more like mashed potato. When asked if the meal was ok I showed the girl the rice. She offered to take my meal away but frankly I didn’t want my meal taken away at this point. So that was that. I certainly won’t be going back. There are plenty of better places to eat in Newton le Willows.

Visiting my son and daughter-in-law and they took us to this place. First time out since restrictions lifted. All very well organised and the food was gorgeous. Felt very safe. On a general note was good to see the Landlord challenge a group of men over their language and a young member of staff move a guy who was smoking away from the doors. Great standards. Well done, hope to be back soon.

Stopped off at the Kirkfield for a few drinks, very helpful young bouncer on the door, made an effort to find us a table in the non smoking area of the garden as the inside was full. We were sat in the corner right next to a 'smoke free area' sign. Unfortunately, 4 selfish people out of 5 people on neighbouring tables felt it necessary to ignore the sign. They were smoking and vaping.Staff came to take our order, as well as taking orders from the other tables and nothing was said to the smokers. When the staff came back to take payment at the table, still nothing was said.The management need to get tough with this rule or take the sign down, we would not have chosen to drink in a smoking environment, we stayed for one drink then left. We didn't really enjoy our time there due to the second hand smoke that came as an unwanted side order but i'm sure we would have enjoyed if we had a table inside and would have stayed for more drinks if the rules were adhered to.

Food was okay, nothing special. Some of the dishes were really good. Some of the dishes were very average. I tried the prawn cocktail starter, and to be fair if I am paying a higher than average price for pub grub, I don't expect to have to peel the prawns myself, and then have to ask for a finger bowl to clean my fingers. The lamb shank wasn't the best either. I ordered steak with peppercorn sauce, the sauce was very runny and not very peppery. Whether this was because we were in a large party and the kitchen struggled or not I'm not sure. The rest of the restaurant was empty so I wouldn't have thought so. On balance, I would probably give it another go and order different.Oh and a note to the kitchen and waiting staff.. please don't put kids meals on red hot plates. Trying to make a young child eat without touching a red hot plate is near impossible.

Ever since The Kirkfield re-opened it instantly became our favourite pub/restaurant for both a meal out with our children or on our own as a couple.The menu is great, just the right amount of choice with all the pub classics as well as a few interesting dishes you don't see in pubs. I'd always recommend finding out what the 'pie of the day' is, and the Sunday lunch is always fantastic. Its not cheap pub food, the ingredients are definitely a step up from most pubs and its all homemade.We have a few pubs locally but the thing which really sets the Kirkfield apart is the incredible service. As soon as you are getting close to finishing your drink they are ready to get you another, you never have to wait or try and get someones attention.Newton-le-Willows is lucky to have such a great and independent pub/restaurant on the high street run by people who really care about it. There aren't many of these left.

Yet another amazing meal at The Kirky, this place never disappoints. We were greeted and treated in the usual high standard, that we have come to expect.Lindsay and Terence obviously know how to pick staff, they are always, friendly, helpful and always seem to be smiling (something I’ve commented on to Lindsay and Terence on several occasions)The chef makes sure that the food reaches you, well presented, and tasty (I can recommend the medallions of beef) and he takes seriously any queries you have. He can often be seen out of the kitchen checking people are happy with their food.The ‘specials’ change daily ensuring you’re stuck for choices on what to opt for.Despite this being the last night before yet another lockdown closure, you wouldn’t have known as all staff ensured we and all other customers were treated to the wonderful ‘ Kirky’ experience.Cannot wait for re-opening day.......will be at the front of the queue booking a table.

My wife and myself have visited the Kirkfield many times for meals, either as a couple or with family and friends (pre lockdown/tier restrictions). We have always found the food to be of high quality and good value for money. The staff are always attentive and customer service is always of a high standard. If there is anything that you need, they will do their utmost to accommodate you. We have eaten at many venues on High Street, but feel that the Kirkfield always provides a great dining experience coupled with a friendly atmosphere which means that we seem to eat here more than anywhere else. I would highly recommend a visit here and you certainly won’t be disappointed.

The Kirkfield is one of our favourite places to dine as a family of four, and we also usually end up there when it's just the two of us. We know we're guaranteed fabulous food (always a high standard), especially the nachos which are frequently ordered by our two boys. Every member of staff is so friendly and makes you feel like part of the family there! We chose this venue for my dad's 80th birthday meal at the beginning of 2020 and everyone enjoyed it, commenting on the great food and service.Love the decor of the place - always scrupulously clean, inviting and warm, and after a huge delicious dinner, there's nothing lovelier than sitting in one of the cosy corners washing it all down with a drink (or three) from the bar! It should also be noted that my husband is always incredibly impressed at the rate in which his empty Peroni glass is swiftly replaced with a fresh one. :)

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever encountered! I emailed the owner “Terrance” regarding our experience to which he responded “if you are unhappy with the service then don’t return”. We have later learnt the member of staff in question was his wife, hence the defensive approach, filled with excuses and justifications! Apparently there are extenuating circumstances that justify the behaviour of rude staff.Do not accommodate for those with allergies! Lindsay a member of staff said “it’s not my fault we can’t guarantee no nuts”. Never in my life have I been to a restaurant with this level of customer service and are this unaccommodating. I am usually told they will try their best to avoid cross contamination, prepare in a different area, will change gloves etc. Lindsays whole manner was shocking from start to finish. Very upsetting to see “members of staff” lying to deflect their behaviours onto customers. I have been reading a lot of Terrances responses to reviews published, which are neither professional or polite. Much more professional and friendly places to go on the high street! Please read all emails sent to and from the owner before considering to eat here, shocking!

Went with family for a meal. Sadly, one waitress thought it was party time, screaming, laughing loudly, showing colleagues pics on her phone, generally doing nothing. A real distraction to what should’ve been a family meal out. Other staff were fabulous and attentive, obviously embarrassed by the girls antics. She wore her mask off her face, hair not tied back was flicking it all over the pass where the food was waiting to be served. Sadly the food was mediocre for the cost. Luke warm and very little of it. £16 for a small bony piece of chicken and warm veg, no chorizo even though it stated it on the menu. Didn’t stay for desert. Have eaten here many times but will think twice about eating here again.

One of the best places to eat in the northwest. Always spot on . The duck starter was fantastic and bruschetta amazing . Staff always really smartly dressed and friendly. Always feels like your in an episode of “first dates”. Highly recommended.

Pre booked for a late Sunday afternoon dinner as a birthday celebration, all very well managed in respect of Covid regulations, so well in fact that for a few hours we could enjoy ourselves and relax without feeling nervous of the extra regulations currently in place. Food was superb, most of the five diners in our party had 3 courses, portion sizes were good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Staff were attentive and well mannered. Restaurant was busy, again, a really nice thing to witness at the current time. We will be back without hesitation. Great job by the entire team.

First visit food, which was lovely but really disappointed with the amount. Paid £15 for lamb kebab which came on 2 skewers but only 3 tiny Cubes of lamb on each. Mentioned to waitress when came to pick plates up but never returned to our table after that. Not offered dessert which was quite disappointing. Would return for drinks but probably not food. Honest review.

My wife and I were booked here on our wedding night. The room was lovely, clean and by far the most comfy bed I have ever slept on! Breakfast was so tasty and the sausages are amazing! But by far this hotel’s stand out feature is its staff. The lady who served us at breakfast was so lovely and nothing was too much. And the lovely friendly housekeeper who’s happiness was infectious. 100% recommend could not have asked for more :)

We booked a table for 8pm. during local lockdown. We were greeted outside ,the doorman wearing a mask asked our name, only allowed in if booked.We were immediately shown to our table for two. The restaurant was full.. always a good sign... every member of staff wore a mask.waitress very attentive, service was excellent, and the food delicious. Very Covid 9 friendly , and we felt safe. Toilets very clean .All in all a very enjoyable dining experience.

Great food. I had the roast beef, which was nice and rare. We didn't arrive until about 4.30pm and the restaurant was still full, which I always think tells you about the popularity of a restaurant. Well priced and delicious food

Our new favourite place to go at the moment. They have a really nice outside area which is situated at the back of the building. Plenty of tables (some with parasols), heaters for when it gets chilly. Went at teatime on a Saturday. A little busy, but nice vibe. A performer was on which we thought was really good. Set the ambiance for the summers evening. Had a meal booked for 7 but we had been sat in the back since 5. So we asked if we could have our table earlier. The staff were all very helpful and obliging. Asked to changed tables as there were alot of children, babies crying. Husband had been up since 5am so we asked to move tables in a different area. Staff were fab and happily got us another table which was perfect. Ordered bottle of white wine. Which came in an ice bucket. Obviously expecting it to be cold. Not impressed. One of my pet hates is white wine, not chilled. It was warm. Not good. So we just ordered a glass of ice to put in the wine. Did the job.Food was really good, really impressed. Didn't have to wait too long. Both our meals were tasty. Couldn't fault. I had the Barnsley Chop which was lovely, but could only manage one chop (meal comes with 2 chops). Husband had good attempt of eating it. He had the linguini which he said was really tasty. Dessert was good. Cocktails were spot on. Enjoyable evening. Ordered another glass of sauvignon blanc whilst we were chatting with friends and again it was warm. Yet our friends ordered pinot grigio and you could tell it was chilled by the condensation on the glasses. Went back to the bar for ice. Why would you serve warm white wine apart from that we had a lovely evening.

Visited The Kirkfield for the first time recently for drinks (in their lovely beer garden) and decided to go back today for Sunday lunch.The normal menu has a good selection of meals at reasonable prices and they also have a Sunday lunch menu and a few specials. We both opted for pie of the day which was Peppered Steak Pie and it was delicious! Really tasty and not too peppery, just enough to make it flavoursome.For dessert, we had a sticky toffee pudding and the lemon tart (shared both because we dont like to miss out!) and both were lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and I'd recommend it for a nice casual lunch out.

We came here in March on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. To start I had the nachos and my partner had the antipasti board both were really nice and for main we both had a pork roast and was one of the best I’ve had for a while. Will definitely return.

Visited The Kirkfield Hotel on Saturday . Immaculate comfy rooms . Very homely . Separate bar to watch sport . Nice beer garden with singer . All staff were excellent especially Terence , Bernadette and Jordan . Excellent food , We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night . Would highly recommend a visit .

been going here for quite a while staff always attentive, cleanliness good but it is going down hill fast, dirty tables bad service, smelly toilets need to pick your game up

I have been here a few times now. They do an excellent Sunday Dinner and the other dishes Iv had have been great too, particularly the ribs. Vibrant atmosphere, certainly not a quiet place but I quite like that. Good service and it looks great after the recent refurbishments. Iv been with the wife and with large groups and it’s suitable for both. Will definitely be heading there again in future.

I have to admit, the first time we visited the place with my partner I didn’t really know what to expect. Well, needless to say I was very happy. We have now been a few times and it’s always the same feeling. The place is really nice, newly refurbished, view to the kitchen depending of where you’re sat. The food taste good and fresh, with good portions. I was impressed with the fact that their prawn and salmon pasta was so much nicer than in the Italian place I had tried a couple of weeks before. Tasty, with actual pieces of fish, with no need to had any salt or anything : just perfect.My partner loves his roast dinner and was pleased to finally have a beef pink and tender unlike in other places.If you are around, I would definitely give it a go as to me, it’s one the nicest place in Newton-le-Willows.

We had a delicious family meal in this lovely restaurant. A varied menu with lots of choices and caters well for vegetarians. Nice, clean surroundings and the staff were very welcoming. We all agreed it was worth a second visit.

This is a difficult review to write. We visited on Boxing Day with family (6 adults, 4 children) and service and food were excellent - 7 steaks all cooked per pre order. There was a slight issue with a foreign body in my desert but it was rectified immediately and then knocked of the bill without question.Having had such a good experience we visited again today at lunchtime and were more disappointed. We arrived at around 12:15 and when seated were initially given breakfast menus, we asked for lunch menus and they were brought over. The waitress didn’t seemed quite distracted to be honest. We ordered quickly but waited a long time for food to arrive (it was fairly quiet at the time we ordered). When it arrived my steak pie was excellent, good portion and full of meat, sadly the salad my wife ordered was poor - lettuce was brown, tomatoes were ‘mushy’, the ribbons of carrot and cucumber promised on the menu weren’t evident. To be honest it looked like the lettuce was a couple of days old. We mentioned it to the waitress straight away and said that £9 for a salad that looked and tasted the way it did was disappointing. She agreed with us and did offer to change it but we were in a rush so couldn’t afford to wait, my wife said she would eat it given we were rushing. She didn’t eat much more salad as it wasn’t nice at all. There was no check back and we had to ask for the bill as it was 1:15, we mentioned it again and said that we weren’t really happy paying for the salad as it was poor, the waitress spoke to the manager and sorted the bill but never actually apologised. I then tried to find some staff to pay as we were in a rush and there were none around for a while.A mixed bag on two different occasions, on the whole only one meal wrong and one hair in a desert wasn’t a disaster but I did think the service was lacking a little today compared to Boxing Day.I have read some of the responses to negative reviews on here before posting and just to be clear we did raise the concerns with staff today, it just wasn’t handled particularly well but on Boxing Day the issues were handled impeccably.

Lovely pub/restaurant, great for a drinks with family and friends and the food is good and fairly priced. Friendly staff and very nicely decorated!

We came for our Christmas meal saturday the 14th Dec 2019 and was so disappointed , it was such a shame the staff were lovely, settings lovely the food was below average , we spent nearly £200 and we wont be going back , it offers "luxury dining" and it really is not. Lymewood farm is much better and that's mass produced ☹

Called in on Saturday to try the breakfast, it was lovely, the menu had a very good selection & all the produce is sourced locally, the presentation & the food was excellent, together with the friendly staff & beautiful surroundings it was a wonderful relaxing dining experience , we will definitely be going again & can thoroughly recommend you try it! x

We had a 3 course meal and weren't rushed or hassled on a Saturday night. The food was excellent and the staff attentive. Love how you dont have a set waiter/waitress and they were all nice.

On recommendation from the Head Chef I had the pork in honey mustard and garlic , now I've eaten in Michelin starred restaurants all over, this was the best pork I've ever had,, the sauce beautifu, l the greens gorgeous ,thank you Lee x

We visited for a light lunch following a recommendation for a dog friendly restaurant nearby. We opted for a roast vegetable with hummus sandwich and a roast lamb with mint sauce sandwich. Both were good and the portions were generous. Service was quick and very friendly.

Fantastic atmosphere, the night we were there a singer was on. The food was delicious and great value for money. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, especially our waitresses Holly and Rebecca. I would and have recommended The Kirkfield. We had a lovely night.
