You get what you ask for with a Fish and Chips: Good Batter, Good Fish and nice chunky chips that filled me up quite nicely.

Mon the rays.. best chipper, mon the chips mon the fish..great day to have a chipper!!

Let me put it this way, Ashvale gave me a pre cooked king rib in a supper, taken from the freezer, micro then a flash fry to add oil. Ray's, everything is cooked fresh, portions bigger, price's much better. Taste is fantastic. Getting a bit worried now because they were trading from 4-8pm but have been closed the past few days.😥

It's ok. . Chips can be rushed and end up a bit hard still inside, but cooked,, portions of chips bit stingey , for a £1.20 you get less than in a supper portion.

If you choose to venture near tilly on a cold winters night then a stop off for a fish supper from ray's chipper is a must. This is our treat once a month as the fish supper is honestly the best in Aberdeen. Bigger chains such as Ashvale and Hass are competitive in price but cannot compete to the awesomeness of a Rays fish supper with a cold can of juice. After trying this the first time we were amazed at just how good this actually was. A no frills, no fuss approach to the decor but the delight of smelling a Haddock supper more than makes up for it.

Good dinner time deals during week. Never try new stuff as fried food so good.

I've eaten there for a long time, put up with some issues of attitude. A couple weeks ago ordered a haggis supper, the young girl that served me was cleaning around shop with bucket of water and cloth. Between serving my food and cleaning shop, she never washed her hands. I was charged more than what was on the price boards and when I went back to complain there were other customers in shop so I didn't want to create a fuss. Shame that one experience destroyed my overall view of shop for the future.

Highly recommend the fish suppers. I've only ever had them freshly cooked to order, the batter is lovely and crispy and the fish is lovely. The chips are my favourite. I don't eat chips often, but when I do, I want them from Ray's.

There was nothing wrong with the food just the attitude the owner has to his staff he swears at girl who runs the shop for him when he's not there
