Raydan Restaurant in Manchester

Ordered mandi lamb and Zurbian lamb through uber eats. Food was probably reheated/leftovers. Dry lumpy rice. Mostly bones and fat and small portion of meat which was dry. Wouldn't recommend. Won't order from this place again.

Was recommended this place by a work colleague and a group of 9 of us went. Parking can is available outside with plenty on side streets. Nice friendly vibes and smells emanating inside were delightful. We decided to book a room (can seat around 12 people I reckon and maybe more) and only negative criticism was that we did have to ask on several occasions for place to be cleaned up. This place can get busy. Complimentary soap was the perfect start and a nice touch. Ordered the lamb Zumbina and it was delightful. The meat was succulent and the flavours really lovely. The food arrived very quick and even partook in the chicken brost which I highly recommend. Only item I didn’t enjoy was the fasha and it’s a very distinguished taste. Not for me anyway. Card payments accepted and friendly service. Toilet (only 1) which has a bidet and was clean. Could do with another ideally and washroom facilities also available. A place I enjoyed visiting and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending and returning.

Tasty food but the service not too good

It's like you're in a Mandi restaurant in Saudi Arabia. You won't know you're in Britain until you leave. Their service and cooking are really good.

A simple restaurant, but their food is once again beautiful. The mandi meat is amazing, honestly. May God give them good health. You feel as if you are at home with them.

Authentic Arabian food, great service, and amazing prices for big portions

I have been many a times and I always try their lamb or chicken Mandi. To me and my friends we love it from here. We also tried the Kunafa, which is not as expected.

The Food was very nice, they also offered soup for free. Unlimited Soup for free., i loved it.

We tried the Lamb Mandi, and while the food itself was quite good, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service. The lamb was cooked to perfection — tender and flavorful — and the rice was soft and tasty, complementing the dish well. However, the service left much to be desired. When we approached the counter to place our order, the staff member was busy chatting and laughing with his colleagues while we stood there waiting. It felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Later, when I went back to order some extra mandi, I again had to wait for about three minutes while the same staff member was casually chatting with another customer. Although the food was enjoyable, the poor service overshadowed the experience. I had expected a more professional and attentive service, which sadly wasn’t the case. For this reason, I’m unlikely to visit this place again anytime soon.

Raydan's chicken mohamer - tender, aromatic, and deeply flavorful. A rich, lightly spiced and perfectly balanced. A must-try for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.

Enjoyed the bottomless dripping, Mandi and the broasted chicken 🍗 dish… the sitting is private like the majlis. Will definitely visit again with friends.

Chicken smell very bad , had to throw away , seems they kept it there for many days , asking Allah not to forgive them for doing this to the people’s health .

We use to order from this restaurant ,but today order was horrible with a very bad smell for the Mandi chicken ,their chicken looks damage not fresh with low level hygiene and storage requirement for this kind of meat witch can cause severe gut infection if it’s damage ,we just throw the food as per picture I will never order from this restaurant

I recently dined at Raydan Restaurant where we tried both the chicken and lamb Mandi dishes, in addition to enjoying the Agda lamb dish. All of them were exceptional. The Mandi was aromatic and flavorful with perfectly cooked rice that absorbed the spices beautifully while both the chicken and lamb were tender and juicy. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. The service was friendly which contributed to the overall positive experience.

I visited Raydaan Restaurant and loved their Mandi and Kunafa. The Mandi was flavorful, with tender meat and aromatic rice, while the Kunafa was perfectly crisp and rich. The ambiance was warm, and the service was excellent. A great spot for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine!

Massive mandhi plate to share with the fam. Sensational. Lots of meat, affordable yet a really nice way to dine with your loved ones if you’re craving something authentic. Also had the broasted chicken which was injected with their spicy marinade. Juiciest fried chicken breast I’ve had in awhile. Will be back.

Found a hair on my lamb mandi! Extremely disappointing experience. I discovered a hair in my food and brought it to their attention. Instead of offering an apology, a replacement, or even a refund, the staff member simply took the plate away without saying much. This level of service is unacceptable. I have reported this incident to Manchester City Council's Food Hygiene to ensure proper hygiene and customer service standards are upheld.

The food comes out very fast considering they are really busy. We visited on Saturday 21st September 2024 around 8pm and the place was full. People were waiting for tables and to place orders. But staff were very nice and helpful. Made us feel welcome. Traditional Arab food. Good quality dishes and large portions. We ordered chicken mandi, broast meal, chips and masoob as a sweet dish to finish off. This was more than enough for 4 of us as we aren't big eaters. You can also get complimentary soup which is very warming and delicious. Just note, you might struggle finding parking, so try looking for something in the side streets where there is 3hr parking (off peak). Check parking restrictions first and don't block neighbours drives. Would highly recommend trying this place if you have time and are in the area. Thank you to the owners and hard working staff.

Lamb Mandi tasted good but quantity wasn't enough. Zarbyan was recommended by the server but it didn't look fresh.

Went around 1 PM it wasn't busy. They offer meat stock soup on the house Lamb mandi was amazing, it comes with bread similar to naan. Meat was very tender and didnt really have the lamb smell/after taste, loved it! I didnt really like the Mqalqel as it had the lamb after taste Service is good and food came quite fast It's also reasonably priced as we paid around £30 for mandi, mqalel, drinks, and dessert Overall nice experience would come again for the lamb mandi tenderness -- Here again to update on 2 additional dishes, the kunafa & fish mekhbaza (grilled fish). Both are amazing After going multiple times, sometimes the tables and chairs need cleaning, but the staff responds quickly when you tell them

Awful place they tried charge me for a meal and charge me double and when I was trying to explain to the worker why am being charged he was confused and was trying to ignore what I was asking and his manager was rude and was asking us to pay or move out the way so they can serve the next customer even tho we did not finish with our order we did not like his rudeness and we would not recommend anyone to go this rude place there customer service is 0 and would not be going there again

Awful customer service ordered a meal but the price did not match what the meal original price shows on the menu so when I was asking why the price was so high even tho on the menu it showed £9 but he was asking £30 something for it he did not want to hear it and was asking me to pay or move over so he can serve the next customer... The mutton lamb and Hanees chicken were not only visually appealing but also tasted incredible. The mutton portion is generous, especially for the pric definitely worth it. I must mention their avocado and mango shake, which is just £3 and absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a Majlis with full privacy, making it perfect for families. The food and staff are excellent, and I still can’t forget the taste of their lamb mandi. Highly recommended!

Hot and hearty meat soup available at a self serve desk. (Bottomless and turns your mouth yellow🥹) Price———>?? No wonder the restaurant is bustling. ~12£ for massive dishes. Mouth watering ACTIVATED just THINKING about the “ remix”kunafa. Standing ovation 👏 required. Subtle creamy centre, crispy kataifi, exquisite complementary sweet taste (it’s a remix; not mozzarella and condensed milk used in place of syrup) Ample free street parking. Restaurant resembles a flashback from 2002. Don’t let it bother you, the loudness, hustle and bustle, dated seating is inherently part of the experience. Just too000ooo good, I’ll be back

The Yemeni lamb Mandi was amazing Meats were very tender. The Mandi rice specifically was very tasty. Unfortunately I have to complain about the service we asked if they had Yemeni tea and they said that they have it - later they said that they don't sell tea. Also had to go several times to the counter to remind them about drinks. Otherwise the atmosphere was ok, we sat in the booth which was very good. Very busy!

We booked a space to eat in advance and were not told of any time limits on our time. However, after 30 minutes, we were shouted at by multiple staff, including the manager, to leave due to other customers wanting to come in. But we were given no prior notice about this during our booking or when we actually arrived. Moreover, we hadn't even finished our meal. This soured our enjoyment of the cuisine and atmosphere- would not recommend this place due to the lack of respect for the customers.

Atmosphere need improvements...

I usually have zurbian chicken or hameez chicken. If you are looking for rice and flavoured chicken along with roasted onion, go for hameez. If you love flavour in rice, go for zurbian. You can also ask for mayo and ketchup apart from their own sauce, at the billing section.

A wonderful restaurant with their best dishes being Yemeni Mandi and Brost

Visit this place many time. Their fried chicken broast is nice but the chicken pieces are always way to small and too dry and they charge around £9.5 for 4 pieces of chicken,way too over priced and not worth it, i have complained few time and they says sometime small chicken come but its not sometime but all the time. Kindly think and improve the chicken size. Current size of the chicken pieces are like chicken strips and too dry to eat, hard to shew. Thanks

Is not the restaurant what we used to know it’s gone down very badly. I spent over £60 Wasn’t worth the money Not even the portion for the food very cold meat and rice. The Chilli supposed to be chilli it was just a water mixed with tomato not even fresh lemon in it. I’m very disappointed

Wonderfull food and place. The staff were super nice and the food was perfect. The only con about this place is the seating if you are a big group you might find a bit of a difficulty in dining in but other than that this is the place to go for arabic food.

We were visiting Manchester over Eid and wanted to try this place after a recommendation from a friend. We waiting about 20 mins for a table and then 10 more minutes for our food. We got the mandi and fish. Both were very delicious. Make sure you get the tomatoe garlic sauce from the waiter as it adds a kick to the food especially if you are used to having a bit more spicy food. Overall good experience. The have separate cubicles where it is nice to sit with your family. Clean toilets and facilities as well

Raydan is a family favourite. The most authentic Arab food in Manchester. We order mandi platters for parties from here too and everyone loves it. It can get very busy as the food is so good so I'd advise going off peak times. Their fried chicken is the closest to albeik we have found too with the garlic sauce!

For the second time I let down there. Today I called to book a table as expected to be busy but they said it's fine come without booking. Came there made an order they came back later saying Mendi sold out then we changed to Mhamar and 1 hour later we went to check and they said sorry it's sold out too after waiting an hour we are 4 of us fasting, what a disappointment service. Absolutely never go back again
