Always a pleasure. Beautiful surroundings, friendly and professional staff and consistently excellent food. Great cocktails and a very affordable wine list. Love it here.

We came for afternoon tea, aka High Tea. The venue was stunning and the food delicious if a little small. Also no scones with the afternoon tea despite it being on the online menu. They had run out of the duck sausage rolls which was surprising since the afternoon teas start at 3:00pm and we booked for 3:30pm. The reception was a little cold upon arrival. We were 10 minutes early and asked where we could wait until the table was ready. The receptionist stated the bar area. We had to enquire what to do when 3:30pm arrived and we were still waiting for a table.

I recently visited this restaurant with a large party and was quite disappointed with the experience. While the sea bass and mussels were tasty, the portions were very small and the set menu did not include any sides. The cherry crème brûlée was also a letdown. The service was particularly frustrating. Getting a drink took a long time, and the staff refused to take orders from our table because of our group size. It didn't help that there was only one card reader behind the bar, despite having around four bar staff. Additionally, the toilets were in a messy state. Overall, for the price we paid, the experience was far from satisfactory. Massive service charge for zero service. We had to go to the bar ourselves! 😡

The food was truly delicious and our waitress communicated regularly with us. The restaurant itself is really lovely. Unfortunately the food took a ridiculous length of time to be served.

Starting with the positives, the food was very tasty. We ordered a Thai green curry with sea bass and mussels, accompanied by a side of rice, as well as a pan roasted chicken supreme. The manager was friendly, and the restaurant’s interior was beautifully designed, creating a great ambiance. However, the portion sizes were disappointingly small. The pan roasted chicken supreme consisted of just a chicken leg with a few pieces of cabbage and edamame, all surrounded by a green sauce. I was surprised, as I had expected more vegetables at the very least. As for the Thai green curry, the flavours were great, but the rice wasn’t included and had to be ordered separately—only to arrive in a tiny portion. The service felt a bit rushed, with the waiter hurrying other customers. They also used a common trick with the water—asking if you wanted still or sparkling as soon as you walk in, usually when you’re feeling thirsty from the journey. They then bring out an already opened bottle without mentioning that it’s an extra charge. It’s only when the bill arrives that you realise you’ve been charged for it. If you don’t want to pay for water, just ask for tap water, and they’ll bring out a jug. We ultimately decided not to order anything else, as the portion sizes didn’t seem worth the price. Overall, if you’re looking for a light lunch with great flavors, this could be a good choice. But if you’re looking for an average sized portion meal that fills you up, this might not be the place for you.

DO NOT DINE HERE! Absolutely awful experience at The Grand Pacific restaurant in Manchester. We had personal belongings stolen, which staff admitted to have seen on CCVT, but wouldn’t take action until we threatened to call the police. They were 20 mins late with our table and we were rushed off before we even had dessert. The manager, Luke (or that’s what he told us his name was), was unbelievably rude, telling us this is his restaurant and he’ll “do whatever I likes to whoever I likes”. I could write pages about this shocking experience, from start to finish, but the overarching message is to never book this place. Your items are not safe and the food is average at best. I’ve written a formal complaint via email, but I’ve still not received a reply 4 days later. I’ve sent a follow up Facebook message, also no reply. AVOID!

Me and my friend came tonight and what can I say? The food, service and atmosphere were 10/10. Despite the place being busy nothing was too trouble for Andrej (our waiter). Drinks and food came without any waiting time - The fillet steak was to die for! So tender, it was melting in my mouth 👏🏼 Would definitely go back 💯

Awful customer service. Was rushed through our meal and told ‘while still eating main’ we only had 15 mins remaining. Manager was ill mannered and rude. I would not recommend this to anyone wanting to feel valued as a customer

Great building & location, we traveled to Manchester for a special occasion at lunch time, little to no atmosphere, celebration occasion added to booking but no mention of it on arrival or during which would of been nice, staff showed little personality or warmth. Food sounded amazing on the menu, something special and unusual but was VERY average. The burger was very bland & wouldn’t have looked out of place at a sizzler or cheap chain restaurant, not worth the £20 at all. Only saving grace was it was 50% off mains for January so acceptable. Very disappointing experience.

Been several times for food and drinks. The manager here is absolutely exceptional. Notified the waiter of an allergy and both the manager and wait staff were so attentive and considerate. The food and service were perfect. Very, very nice evening here.

A bit dissapointed...place is nice inside but very loud,more like a pub than restaurant for me.We had a Christmas dinner there,food was very average just eatable not worth the money what we have paid .Drinks another disappointment. I had a Mohito,wierd colour and lack of alcohol Mohito.I am not sure that i will be back there any soon...sorry

Came out for an anniversary dinner and was served by Mark. He was very attentive the whole meal even giving us a special dessert. I would highly reccomend this place the food was incredible and so was the service !

Terrible experience! Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. Booked it for my husband’s birthday celebration and his cake was tagged with a racist name. This was raised with the restaurant and they tried to cover it up by saying they have a regular customer at the restaurant that likes to go by the racist name. We couldn’t believe our ears! Then another member of staff who is of a mixed background was sent to dissolve the situation because she could “relate” to us and explain that the action was not racist! You really couldn’t make this up! Needless to say, it was a terrible experience for us and put a huge downer on the birthday celebrations. I contacted the manager via email to explain the situation and it’s been over 2 months now and there has been no response with any action! I guess they’re hoping no response means this will go away but it won’t! Take some accountability and definitely train your staff to not be racist!!! And most importantly, to be honest and treat ALL their customers with respect!!!

This was supposed to be a special afternoon tea with a very close friend. All started off well with an attentive waitress (are we still allowed to use that name?). Problems started from the moment we made our order. One vegetarian High Tea and one regular high tea. We waited for over an hour in a loud environment which just seemed to get louder the longer we were there. Loud chatter with loud 'music' competing to be heard above the cacophony. The food was quite good, but have had better for this price. Whilst we awaited our scones to end the tea, we ordered 2 cappuccino's which arrived in more timely fashion and tasted quite good. The whole experience for us was quite anxiety inducing and couldn't wait to leave the place. When it came to paying our bill the manager apologised (a little) for our wait and said the cappuccino's are on the house by way of apology. Sadly, for what I expected to be such a special place, I was left bitterly disappointed and felt the need to apologise to my close friend. I will not be returning.

Positives: beautiful venue and ambience. Generally friendly waiters. Negatives: poor service overall, long waits (30 mins to be seated, over 2 hours for our main, then a further 45 minutes for dessert ) disappointing food (school dinner like, some items cooked from frozen, food cold on arrival to table), poor safety awareness in response to broken glasses.

Just left. Sitting was at 6. Food was pre-ordered. Starter arrived at 7:32. Main course at 8:28. Had to leave to catch a train before the desert arrived. Very, very, very slow!!! Only plus was the food was actually OK, but not £40 worth. Won't be going back.

I visited with my friends for the Christmas meal there were 12 of us the soup was barely warm and the main meal was cold which we commented on it but nothing was done, when the dessert arrived that should have been warm yet again it arrived cold, we have been on 2 other occasions and it was lovely, we were given a complimentary drink but we don't know if we will visit again.

Christmas set meal food was good, but service was shockingly slow - sweets finally arrived 2.5 hours after the first starters were served. Our meals had been pre-ordered & the restaurant wasn't busy. Disappointing

Unfortunately not enough staff serving at the bar. One lad doing cocktails which take for ever and took ages to get served. Not the lads fault. Table wasn't cleared from previous customers. Very expensive for an inferior service. Drinks only.

Bit of a rip-off to be honest, the “Szechuan” fish was literally just deep fried fish and chips with a sprinkling of chip spice, really disappointing for the price paid. Don’t get me wrong, the food was ok and the service was mediocre but for the price you pay expecting something fancy it really didn’t impress. Starter was also overcooked, not convinced this stuff isn’t from the Aldi frozen range with a sprinkle of masala seasoning and nuked in the air fryer, don’t get me started on the wine, i’ve had better for 3.50 from Tesco’s and at literally 10x the price it’s not quite the standard to be expected from a place like this. Moral of the story, if you want actual class and good service steer clear, it’s a mid-range menu dressed up as a fancy restaurant, a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I have to be fair, the service and ambience/decor was brilliant. Our server was attentive and they gave me a bespoke dessert for my birthday. Unfortunately the food wasn't hot and towards the end of the evening my friend and I noticed a rat/mouse running about and it ran under one of the seats. Certainly hope it's a one off but probably won't return. We raised this with our server who did empathise and offered us some drinks which we Unfortunately had to refuse.

Visited with my partner for our 6 year anniversary, both ordered the veggie roast. Decor and staff, 0 faults. Food was mediocre, lukewarm and pretty bland. Potatoes and yorkshires were stale, hard and dry. Probably won't be returning.

Popped in Saturday evening 25th May for a quick early birthday treat, I try a different cocktail everytime I visit & as per usual it was delicious & as I mentioned to the lovely bartender it was my birthday next week he gave me & my husband a shot of cazcabel ...... yum thanks will be purchasing some of that !, love dropping into this place as it just really ACE 😆 xx Again popped into Grand Pacific on the 02/11/2024 & Wow thank you to the bartender, thank you so much you lifted our spirits.... Me and my wife visited this bar tonight for my birthday. Been lots of times before. Can't fault this place .10 out of 10 all round. The bar staff are among the best in Manchester. Thanks Grand Pacific for making a great night for me and my wife ❤️

Went for my husband's birthday. Really enjoyed our time here. Food, desserts and drinks were all amazing. Our server was very sweet. Will definitely recommend it for special occasions.

Tasty food - steak and chips was gone but strange it came with no veg. Decent wine. Service was fine but food was very slow to come considering Tuesday night, 2 groups of 16 and a handful of smaller tables in play.

Grand Pacific is a beautiful place with great cocktails, but unfortunately, our evening didn’t go as expected. We made a reservation for 4 people on Saturday 28 September 9:45pm to 11:45pm – the only time available. When we arrived, our table wasn’t ready, and we had to wait at the bar for another 10 minutes. Once seated, the waiter came over after 5 minutes and immediately told us the kitchen was closing. We asked for a few more minutes, but throughout the night, we were repeatedly reminded that the kitchen was closing, which made us feel rushed. My suggestion to management: don’t accept late reservations if the kitchen is about to close, as it leads to a disappointing experience for your guests.

Great place to eat, busy night creating a nice vibe. Food was really good, service (by Jasmine) first rate, she was just the right amount of attentive. I'd made a mistake on the booking and booked the wrong night but upon calling the restaurant the fit us in without issue. Starters and main course both really nice, dessert was okay. Dri is pretty good but no Malibe or Zinfandel on the night but didn't detract from the night. Priced about right for the night and more than happy to pay the service charge

Excellent atmosphere and food well priced for the target niche. Good place for celebratory occasions.

The food was fantastic and well presented, the staff were polite and friendly and the venue was absolutely beautiful. The only negative I have from my visit is on the seating as it is incredibly uncomfortable in the booths and you need to sit upright for the entire meal as the backrest is so far away or slouch entirely into the seat being unable to reach the table.

A hidden gem. We gawked in wonder at the beautiful decor, which must be fairly unchanged in its fundamentals since the address served as a Victorian gentleman's club, the Reform Club. My companions had come for dessert after a main meal elsewhere. They declared that their rum-soaked pineapple and crème brûlée were very good indeed. I had a coffee, which was also very good. The service was so good that we felt by the end that we'd made a new friend. The house gin is Tanqueray, which tells you a lot.

My friend and myself visited Mon 9th Sept. From the moment we walked in the experience was fantastic. Or waiter was friendly and helpful, super efficient. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful afternoon.

Came here as a group. We waited over an hour for our main and then another hour for dessert. Portion sizes extremely small for the price you paid! Sadly I wouldn't visit again.

FUR COAT & NO KNICKERS:We had been looking forward to eating here for sometime. Unfortunately., we came away somewhat disappointed. Upon entering, we were blown away with the ambience and the decor of the room (nice touch having a string section playing live music) The food, however, was Just about okay ,for the quality :we all thought it was overpriced. We consisted of party of four ranging in age from 19 to mid 70s. There is a saying ‘ the proof is in the pudding’: Well, we all tried different desserts and we all thought they weren’t very good.. make of that what you will. Full marks for the ambience & the staff are all highly presentable(pretty young things with posh accents). food however, was as stated,below average. Service was very slow . We had to ask for the bill eventually, when it arrived, they had attempted to charges for several drinks that we hadn’t had! Don’t like giving bad reviews, but sometimes you have to do it

we decided on Sunday lunch menu said beef carved at your table it arrived plated I had no knife when the potatoes and vegetables came it took a long time to attract waiters attention so food going cold then the potatoes cooked in goose fat were that hard it was almost impossible to cut them you would think a chef could roast a potato all in all very disappointed won't be going back

What an extremely disappointing experience. We went for dinner and chose off the main menu. My husband has allergies and dietary requirements. My husband chose the grilled sword fish which was accompanied by Papaya and Mango Salad, Tahini Coconut Yoghurt, but asked if he could swap these for the gun powder potatoes and just plain green vegetables. The server came back and said he could have the potatoes, but all the other sides could not be changed. When it arrived, they had not removed the sides and the gun powder potatoes arrived. It was swimming with Tahini and my husband stated he was sorry but he could not eat it due to his dietary requirements. The server took it away and he was just left with the potatoes. They didn't even ask if he wanted to choose something else instead. When the bill came they had charged for the whole of the meal and the potatoes as an extra. We quickly told them we were not paying for something which we hadn't had and they changed the bill. Not the experience we had expected and the fact that they would not cater for food allergies and dietary requirements was extremely poor. We will not be going back!

The place is gorgeous, an old building that is decorated to copy a colonial room in south east asia. But however, the rattan chair need looking after, some brittles came out..should be prevented by maintainance. The food are mixed.. some nice some don't. I ordered afternoon tea.. which was bare minimum, 2 slices of sandwich, 1 bun and 1 roll. 3 dessert cake and 1 berry mouse. To close the dish, we had scone and a cup of tea..It took them 1 hour to serve 1 afternoon tea, 1 burger dish and chicken salad, and they were not busy.. only us who ordered.not sure what was the cause of delay. Anyway, would i come back for food? No way... nearly slept there by the time the food came. But for coffee or cake i think they are ok.. considering it gorgeous room

Lovely venue. The menu is a little different. Great ambience and great place for a meet up for drinks or food. I celebrated my birthday yesterday and had the a la carte menu which was really enjoyable. Love the loyalty promotions of free cocktail, free Prosecco and just been sent a voucher for a free dessert. What is not to like. Eat on a Sunday and they have their own musicians playing string music. Lovely experience.

Ignore the bad reviews! Food was amazing in the most beautiful building. Service was faultless (we were a large private party). Andre our Croatian waiter was attentive and totally professional. Thank you Andre - you will go far in life and we wish you well for the future. It was a pleasure to be served by Andre - he is a credit to GP.

Lovely graded building with authentic inside still present. Very airy, and staff were lovely. Afternoon tea was nice but small. Great choice of wine, lagers, spirits and soft drinks.

This building is beautiful and the food really was lovey. The service however was terrible, didn’t receive one of the starters but they soon replaced it. Waiting over half an hour for our drink and had to ask again. £12 service charge added to the bill which wasn’t an issue. My problem was not being given my change, I had to ask after about 15 minutes if we were getting it. We then got part of it and when asked about the rest was told they didn’t have it. I’ve never been anywhere and not been given my change. This is terrible service and for this I wouldn’t go back or recommend. I’ve emailed twice and not had a response. I expected more from this place.

Visited with partner on a date night, staff welcoming and friendly, beautiful place to dine, disappointing that a couple of things on the menu were not available although the food that we did have really was exceptional and were impressed with it, definitely worth a visit.

We had a meal and drinks here last night for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The food was fantastic! We had some cocktails and all the staff were happy and friendly. The best place i have eaten at in Manchester!

This is such a cool place. Food was fantastic and the vibes were amazing. The design and look of the place was like something in a movie.

Hosted my wedding breakfast here, 28 people. Food amazing, really lovely but service absolutely shocking, pre ordered the food months in advance and submitted a table plan (as requested). Food delivered to the wrong tables, people told they couldn’t have the meal they ordered because of an allergy (not brought up prior to the day). Awful service from waiters & waitresses. Bar staff lovely, quick & efficient.

We attended a family wedding here. What can I say .... the food was lovely. The table wasn't ready for us, we had to wait over an hour. When we were called through, despite the couple providing a seating plan and pre ordering food with place names and their orders, the food service was appalling. People hadn't got their mains and others had finished. Vegetables were arriving when people had finished their meals. It really wasn't the best service at all. They were literally coming out of the kitchen shouting what they had - some of the serving staff were obviously stressed, so it wasn't always service with a smile. With a minimum spend of £2.500 you really would expect more - I felt really sorry for the couple who had gone to so much trouble. The young girl who was in charge of our party, did her best, but unable to serve 28 people drinks etc. The group included people who were driving - after 3 Heineken 0.0 were ordered, they ran out at 4pm in the afternoon -.it is the only non alcoholic lager they sell?? We had breakfast at another venue the next day at it absolutely showed the Grand Pacific how it should be done.

Extremely Disappointing Birthday Experience, Manager's Rudeness** I had an extremely unsatisfactory birthday experience, as we were driven away by the manager. We had booked a table for four at Grand Pacific a week in advance for a birthday celebration on the evening of June 13, 2024. Upon arrival, the first issue was the very slow service. We waited about 45 minutes for our dishes to arrive together. Additionally, there was no birthday plate as requested. After finishing our meal, we wanted to light a candle on our homemade cake and take a few photos. However, the manager twice attempted to drive us away. We explained that we only needed a few minutes to make a wish, blow out the candles, and take some photos, but were dismissed with the reason "your time is up." Despite several similar empty tables around us, our attempt to communicate was unsuccessful, and we were told to leave immediately. The communication was disrespectful and uncomfortable, and the manager's attitude was extremely poor, ruining my friend's birthday. Anyone considering celebrating at this restaurant should be prepared to be driven away.

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Grand Pacific, Manchester, on my birthday. I had booked a table at this restaurant over a week in advance, specifically requesting a window seat to make the occasion special. Despite my clear instructions and the advance notice, upon arrival, we were told that window seats need to be reserved two hours before. This was incredibly frustrating as I had communicated my request a week prior, and their reasoning made no sense. The service was exceptionally slow, with us waiting more than 1 hour for our food to arrive. Out of respect, we did not rush the staff, expecting them to handle our order with care. However, just as we started eating, less than half an hour later, we were abruptly asked to leave. This happened despite us not finishing our meal. When we mentioned it was a birthday celebration and requested to take a few photos with the cake before leaving, a man in a brown suit (I think he is the manager) rudely insisted that we leave immediately. He was completely unapologetic and offered no explanation, maintaining his rude demeanor even after we explained that the slow service was the reason for our delay. Adding to the disappointment, despite notifying both during the booking and on the day of our visit that it was a birthday celebration, the restaurant did not provide the customary birthday plate. This oversight was a significant letdown on what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. I had looked forward to celebrating my birthday at Grand Pacific, hoping for a memorable and pleasant experience. Instead, the poor service and rude treatment completely ruined what should have been a happy and significant day for me. The lack of any apology or attempt to make amends only added to my frustration. This was undoubtedly the most disappointing birthday I have ever had, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this restaurant for a special occasion to think twice.

Came in here to do some work and enjoy a few drinks with an ex-colleague. Really pleasant environment.

Took my girlfriend here for her 21st birthday. The food was fantastic and completely faultless, however, the woman serving our food made multiple unkind comments about the amount of food my girlfriend, who hadn't eaten all day, had ordered. I had wanted to speak to management at the time but my girlfriend was anxious and wouldn't let me. She has deep body confidence issues and so comments about the amount of food she ordered and how she would need to be "rolled home" are extremely upsetting for her. It's a shame the waitress ruined what would have been a perfect evening.

£18 service charge, the servers were whispering and then looking at us. it was quite rude and unprofessional, i hope you discuss this with your employees so they can act on this and learn from their behaviour. the food was good yet the starter fried squid was £7.?? yet i got charged £8.75. as soon as we sat down we were offed water yet they did not tell us that the water wasn’t free and charged us £8.50 for two bottles. please take this into consideration to improve for your future customers.

I went for lunch at the Grand Pacific and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I started with the cauliflower, which was cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a delightful blend of spices that made it incredibly flavorful. For my main course, I opted for the fried chicken. It was wonderfully crispy and juicy, with a perfect seasoning that left me wanting more. In addition to my starter and main, I also enjoyed the prawn crackers and the Japanese bread for nibbles. The prawn crackers were light and crunchy, with a great flavor that made them the perfect snack. The Japanese bread was soft and slightly sweet, a delightful complement to the savory dishes. The atmosphere at Grand Pacific is elegant yet relaxed, making it an ideal spot for both special occasions and casual dining. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that every aspect of my meal was enjoyable. Overall, my experience at Grand Pacific was fantastic. The combination of excellent food, great service, and a beautiful setting made it a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend trying the cauliflower and fried chicken, and don’t miss out on the prawn crackers and Japanese bread for a perfect meal!

Went here for a date night with my husband. The restaurant and building was beautiful and everyone was so polite, welcoming and friendly. My husband ordered the lamb curry which was so delicious, I ordered the Caesar salad. My salad contained a little less chicken than what I thought I and think the chicken could have been cooked a little longer. The salad was missing something however it was tasty. My dessert was the chocolate fondant which again was delicious. My husband had the cherry crème brûlée which unfortunately was very disappointing, I really wanted to try it so my husband ordered it but it was not set properly at all. It was more like custard. Very liquidy, so he could not eat it. I regret not mentioning it to the waiter. The music was a little too loud for my liking and we was struggling to hear each other. I was hoping for a quiet romantic meal out but it ended up feeling like a nightclub. This could be my bad as I had never been to the restaurant before and didn’t know what kind of vibe it would be. My two cons were the loud music and the cream brûlée.

nice place to eat although prices can be expensive. The service was great and the lady was very accomodating. the atmosphere was lovely.

Booked a table here for my partner’s birthday. They sat us at the end of the restaurant. Rarely had someone from the staff come and attend to us. I found a bug in my dish halfway through my mains and all they did was cancel the dish and ask if I wanted anything else. No effort to improve my dining experience whatsoever

Can’t give anything less than five stars for the cosy and comforting atmosphere, impeccable service from staff, and the top tier, incredible food this place has to offer. Myself and the missus went as a couple for a date in April of 2024 whilst travelling down to Manchester for the day. We came again for my birthday a month later as i had to relive this experience once again, and again it did not disappoint. The cocktails are fairly priced and spot on with amazing spirits to offer. My mom noted that there should be some more choices to offer for Cider lovers however, to enjoy in between the occasional cocktail. My dad and i were happy with the choices of beers, with Asahi and Lucky Bhudda being our two choices for the evening we spent here, in between a cocktail or two. My dad noted how amazing the Madori Sour cocktail is, he has attempted to recreate it at home using the same spirits as he liked this one a lot. The food, both times, is to die for. The Thali sharing starter plate, that gives you an experience of flavours like no other, is introduced to your table as the servers explain what is on the plate. My parents were blown away by this as we were the first time we came here. The verity of nibbles on this plate that just explode with flavour and gives your eyes a feast in themselves is amazing. The mains, being 2 of the Steak Burgers, Slow Roasted Pork Belly and the Szechuan Tempura Sea Bass were absolutely incredible. We were passing our plates around to try everyone’s dish and i couldn’t recommend any dish over the other. The sea bass was like visiting a true a proper fish and chip parlour down by the sea, like it was freshly caught that day. The batter was nice and crispy, the fish had amazing flavour and the sauce was like something out of this world. The slow roasted pork belly was the best you will ever try, words cannot describe the flavour, paired up with the soy sauce, it made for an amazing dish. The steak burger was no ordinary burger, the steak patty is absolutely incredible, and the sauce alongside the lettuce and pickle made the burger the best you will ever try. We will be returning whenever we can as we are from Birmingham way. But whenever we are over Manchester, we will always be stopping off here for dinner.

Great atmosphere and food was very good, however we wanted to seat in a table in the window and we were not allowed, but we stayed at the restaurant for 2 hours and nobody seat there, so we could’ve, it was a birthday celebration. And during the reservation I asked for a good table, didn’t work out.

Amazing roast dinners with excellent service

We booked the private dining room for our wedding meal, with a total of 26 guests. The booking was for June however we had booked months in advance. In the new year, we were contacted and asked to pay a deposit, which we paid promptly. At this point we were advised of the menus and told to make our pre orders. We were told this was the menu for the day and it would not change prior to the date. We spent time collating everyone’s choices, to then submit them, to be told the menu has changed. The new menu we were given was £37 as opposed to £35. The old menu came with a choice of 3 starters, whereas the new expensive menu came with none. This wasn’t made clear upon choosing our options. I contacted the restaurant 2 days prior to the booking to ask if I could come the night before to set up favours and name cards. The person who answered the phone was rude and told me “can you not do them on the day?”. Given we were getting married, this was not an option. She said she would come back to me however this never happened. My partner then rang the day before the booking and spoke to a different lady who was very helpful and offered to set the favours up for us if we dropped them off. We really appreciated this gesture although we wished that this was the reception we had received on the previous phone call. During our visit, the staff were pleasant and we’d asked for food to be delayed whilst we carried out speeches. Although for the remainder of the booking, the food was slow considering we had pre ordered. The food was average and had it not been for a wedding and the private dining room experience, I wouldn’t have been happy with the price vs food received. When we booked, we had the room from 12pm until 3pm, however this was cut 15minutes short the day before the event and we were only notified via the automated booking reminder email. The waiting staff on the day was lovely and couldn’t fault their service. Pre warning that the restaurant will only split the bill 2 ways so if you’re booking for a large group it means organising people transferring money to each other for meals and paying at the bar separately for drinks. The venue itself is beautifully decorated.

Excellent new menu but some old favourites too. Great Sunday Roast, huge swordfish and lovely seasonal vegetables. Great cocktails and first class service with Luke the GM keeping a close eye on each table in a discreet, professional manner. Sarah looked after us well and the string trio was magical. Lots of happy customers

We had a nice time at Grand Pacific. We saw it from our hotel room window at Hotel Gotham across the street, and were intrigued. Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night without a reservation. There wasn’t a table available for 40 minutes, but the hostess recommended that we go up to the bar and she’d find us when it was ready. We enjoyed watching the master mixologists at work, and did our part to make sure they had drinks to make. The place was quite loud on a Friday night, def a destination spot for drinks and dates. Music was fairly loud, at times difficult to easily carry on a conversation. The Thali plate had a nice variety of nibbles, and the Caesar salads were tasty, if not quite garlicky enough for our taste. Overall we enjoyed it, however.

Came for dinner and served by Niamh who was training. Her service was amazing, we had a lovely time and will definitely be back again! Good luck Niamh with the rest of your training, she’s a star!

Really lovely place for a special celebration, great cocktails food and service.

Lovely atmosphere, and delicious food, everyone loved their dishes.

I booked the private dining room for a corporate dinner for 20 people and was asked to pre-order our food. I wrote out to all of our guests and submitted their pre-orders, only to be told that the menu had changed. I wrote out to guests again and submitted their new orders. The restaurant did quite rightly honour the price I had confirmed with them, however they omitted to tell me that the side dishes which were previously included, no longer were. On the evening our guests were expecting their sides as ordered - some of them got some eventually but they were coming out almost the same time as dessert! Given that we had given a pre-order, the service was quite slow. On a positive note, our guests did say that the food was very good. I was a little disappointed that given the amount we spent, no-one from the venue reached out to me to check if we'd had a good experience.

Brilliant restaurant, professional friendly staff.

Aesthetically pleasing restaurant with friendly servers however accessibility for pram and wheelchairs is just none existent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating but that is the only positive thing we took away from our visit. There is no changing room for babys and i was given a changing mat which i had to place on the floor in the cramped ladies toilets to change my child's nappy which is just not ideal or dignifying at all. No lift access. Food- firstly food was undercooked and then found a hair in the salad after the meal was replaced. Dont get me wrong, staff were understanding and took money off the bill for this but this is just not what you expect when going to such a ‘grand’ restaurant.

Really lovely food in a lovely environment. Great bar as well to enjoy the lovely cocktails after dinner. will definitely be returning.
