Food's tasty but a bit on the pricey side for what you get. Beers are good and service is solid. Heads up if you order burgers: they already come with fries, so if you pay for the loaded fries on top they'll just add them to the fries which come with the burger already and not separate which is disappointing when you pay an additional cost.

The most random place. Service average. Beer choice shockingly poor. No bar snacks. Lights in mens not working. Feels gruby and unloved. In need of tlc.

Great in everyday...goid place to congregate before going to the 02 Ritz or The Palace Theatre and right on top of Oxford Road Station.

Went there to watch the awesome Filter band and they rocked the roof off. The bar area is lovely and the room where the gigs are held is really nice and has a great atmosphere as well as a bar there. Drinks a little expensive but worth it and as I'm disabled, I loved how we pre booked seating and the seats had reserved on them . Still had a great view.

Cracking little gig venue, can seem very cramped if it's a sellout but everyone seemed super nice, will go again!

We went to get food before a concert here. The food was good, we had the loaded fries. The staff were really nice too and they played some good music in the bar.

Great venue food was good and not overly priced but potions were on small side. Also £2.50 for a bag of Seabrooks crisps was way too extortionate

Went for a concert, blonde curly haired woman was rude, accused us of selling our tickets and lying to get in. Dealt with us so unprofessionally and called my friend ‘suspicious’.

Great gig venue, amazing atmosphere too!

Staff were nice however we waited an hour for food that arrived cold. The food itself was alright and we had an okay experience. However when we asked for the bill, it came with a £15 service charge which we were not expecting and not told about beforehand. When we asked if we could remove this we were told it wasn’t voluntary which I think is ridiculous for the experience we received! Food is also very overpriced for what it is, I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be going back.

Went in at 12, got our first drink at 12:40. Got our food about 1ish. Website is outdated as they don't offer most of the cocktails on there anymore. Asked for medium rare on the steak and it was basically well done. Would give 1 star but the staff were nice and they made what drinks we did get strong enough

The experience of food and service was fine. However, we booked a 50% off deal and were charged the full amount. My friend who booked the table has gone back to Gorilla to query this and is awaiting a response. Hopefully, they will realise their error and refund the difference!

Haven't eaten here yet, but been to gigs and it's a great venue.

Went to see a Gig, there, in March. I felt light-headed, due to dehydration, during the Gig. But the staff at the Bar were helpful. Plus, I got to speak with a young man, working at the bar, who was originally from my neck of the woods.

Great venue for gigs at the rear of the bar.

The poorest venue for live music in Manchester . I’ve blacklisted it for all future shows which is a shame as they can attract some great acts — but there have been too many problems here for me to have any confidence in the venue

Quality looking bar, great food, fabulous staff!

Brunch was underwhelming. The mushrooms on toast and French toast were dry and not filling. Got half a cherry tomato(raw) for 50p when I expected roasted tomato. Wut :) Location is nice with drinks and wifi, I can see myself working here for a couple of hours. Not my go-to for lunch.

Nice meal with varied menu. Located closed to Oxford Road station and the palace theatre. Staff were very friendly but everything felt a bit disorganised, all staff seemed to be serving all tables which resulted in a couple of mistakes with our meal, I also heard a couple of others mistakes from other tables. Could be perfect with some small changes to the way they operate.

Me (F) and my friend (M) went to a concert at Gorilla last month to see ELIZA. We showed up early and were excited to be at the barrier for the concert. Until, the bouncer came over and told us to move back because "men are not allowed at the barrier, only women". This is the weirdest experience we've ever had. We showed up early for an artist we love and were moved back so that the bouncer can flirt with women at the event. We payed to be here; it's ridiculous that we were treated this way, especially since we were nothing but respectful. We love ELIZA. Long story short, sort your bouncers out.

Nice place, with a good selection of cocktails and a gin parlour upstairs. Beware that the parlour is not open on quiet days, i.e. it's mostly not open mid-week unless there is an event on. A nice atmosphere and not too busy mid-week.

Went to the corella gig on the 18th March with my younger brother. Corella are his favourite band and his favourite song is Barcelona girl. So when the song came on he asked to go on shoulders like what other people was doing also at the time. I proceeded to get him up onto my shoulders and a steward (old man with long grey hair and long grey beard) came up to me straight away saying to put him back down. I asked him why multiple times and he never gave me an answer and instead tried to pull my 14 year old brother down from on top of my shoulders. The steward was trying to pull my 14 year old brother down from a height of 6 feet which could have ended horribly if he was successful in pulling him down. I am launching a formal complaint against the man, who should have acted more cautious and calm in the situation, I also question him as to why he didn’t tell others that had people on there shoulders to get down either. Corella however was brilliant. But for that one steward, shocking.

Honestly a terrible food experience. We just ordered pretty straightforward brunch stuff which took almost an hour to come. It was not busy. When it did it was really cold. The scrambled egg appeared as though it was made from a packet, 1 tiny bit of cold chewy bacon and a sausage which clearly had been microwaved. The other meals were similarly poor. The only half decent thing were the hot chips. Coke was flat and coffee cold. The best thing was the waitress who was great but clearly couldn't do anything about what was happening / or not happening behind the scenes. She did replace our cokes with bottled coke. We didn't complain about the food at the time because we were so so hungry and had waited so long. I wish we had. Genuinely don't want anyone else to have a similar experience....

We went to the venue and had a good time. Loses a star for the queues at the toilets (one set were out of order) and the bar.

Probably the worst venue I have attended,£14 for 2 drinks upstairs,then £10 in main bar. Drinks where flat to make it even worse 🤬 Hayseed Dixie was the only plus 👍

Visited for food and drinks. Very nice food and drinks here. The food came out really quickly but we had an issue with drinks taking a while, and on one round 3 different waiters forgot to place our drinks order. Overall though a nice visit here at a decent price. The atmosphere was also very good.

Went to see banners and what a great night this was… venue is one of the best I’ve ever been too, sound stage is incomparable to anywhere else and the staff and the band were unbeatable! Will definitely be back again thank you all that made tonight possible!

Intimate music venue and decent restaurant, good place to go even if you aren't there for a gig. The food is fun and good hearty scoff, decor is nice and the staff look like they get along and are actually having fun at work, enjoyed the good vibes. The music venue is a good size to see the action but not be overwhelmed like a huge 02 type show. Really enjoyed this place and look forward to coming back.

Fantastic venue. Wonderful staff, greatly accommodating. Really enjoyed both the bar experience and the gig venue. A little oversubscribed (not much room for manoeuvre) but a fun experience nonetheless. Main credit to We Are Scientists.

Popped in before going to see a band across the road at the Ritz. Been meaning to visit on previous trips to MCR. Nice vibe and good selection of drinks. Looking forward to next time.

Came for a show, and the service at the main bar was pretty horrendous. Was literally the only person at the bar and the bartender was just stood playing on his phone, looked up at me a couple of times before saying 'oh are you waiting'... Also asked if they were serving food, was told no, to come back and see food menus and cutlery being given out. HOWEVER The staff in the venue for the show were amazing! So, ill meet you in the middle with 3 stars 👀

Love it in here. Vinyl DJ was playing all sorts of his dad's collection. Candem hells is a nice choice for the tap

This has been a great venue but the last couple of times I was there it was problematic. The Katy J Pearson gig was far too packed which really spoiled the night. This was a while back and when returned recently to see Nation of Language and hey ran out of beer that night. Whilst the venue continues to book excellent acts, these issues need sorting. I am going back in a couple of weeks and really hoping it is back to its best for the gig-goer.

Great little club, ideal for gigs, tiny bar but great service, little balcony for anyone wanting to sit also, stage is a great height so everyone can see and interact. Great venue for gigs. Bar is really comfortable as well.

I like this venue but the food at our event was really poor and service just as bad.

For beer and coffee we had to wait 20 mins, for 2 breakfast 1 hour! My note 1/10

Nice venue. Ordered half a dozen different cocktails and while there was an inconsistency in the serve (some staff needing to consult recipe cards for how to make the drinks) all the drinks tasted great. We also ordered tacos and they were frankly delicious. Service at the bar was a bit erratic (bordering on indifferent) but shout out to Imogen who was an excellent host. We’ll be back.

Very disappointing Full English breakfast. Will not eat here again. Very sad compared to how it was just a few years ago.

Saw S.G. Goodman and Shakey Graves perform here. The staff were all absolutely ace, and it seemed like a really genuine, decent music venue. Would definitely visit again.

Pro: unique building with friendly bar staff and great for more intimate gigs Cons: security were called to a group of disruptive teens and did nothing to stop it. Draught ran out early on in the gig.

Had a brilliant time at the Alice Merton gig. The staff were really good. Meg and Millie were absolutely awesome, they made me feel really welcome and calm because I am autistic and it was my first gig. Can't wait to go back to Gorilla Manchester!

Food was ok but eggs Benedicts were closer to hard boiled eggs unfortunately, avocados weren't very good either. A little pricey too. Overall ok but not the best

Different concert venue built into the arches of the railway bridge, quite small, basic but brilliant atmosphere. Two downsides, the security was over zealous [the grey haired chap with the long beard] and the mech desk was upstairs at the back of the venue and access was only allowed by the security chap after the show. Felt sorry for Eivor because she must have lost a good amount of revenue that night. Absolutely brilliant concert by Eivor though.
