Was a lovely weekend with great food and hospitality I will go back

This place is an absolute Gem in the Lakes. Room is spotless clean and very cozy, views are amazing. The staff are LOVERLEY. Brett is the face at front of house and works very hard in every area of the business. First class service and truly scrumptious food prepared and cooked by superb chefs. No doubt about it we will definitely return . Well done to your superb staff and management, Jack of all trades.

If I could offer 6 stars I would.

Had the most amazing steak and ale pie with mash and vegetables. The food was 10/10 with great service to boot. This place is a little gem

Me and my partner travelled from Glasgow and stayed a night and couldn't recommend it enough, we don't go away often so we were over the moon with the service, cosy and very comfy clean room and one of the best dinners we have ever had. Great walk down to the lake only 30 mins from the lodge. Guy that welcomed us on the day had brilliant people skills and was so accommodating even with how busy he was. Would definitely stay here again in the future. Great outdoor area too also beautiful view from our room, thank you ravenstone lodge for the hospitality!

Far enough away from Keswick to be quiet but close enough to get to. Nice walk to the lake too

A very nice little hotel in the Lake district. The room was large with a perfect bathroom (shower and bathtub). Eating in the restaurant at Gault Millau level can only be recommended. We would be happy to come by there again. The Tesla could be recharged for free at the destination charger.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, everything was first class, food was exceptional, definitely 5*,perfect place to stay, in fact we have booked again for August, can't rate it highly enough.

Absolutely fantastic place. Great location with lovely walks around the hotel. Easily accessible for people without a car and just a short bus ride to Keswick. The food served in the restaurant has star restaurant quality, absolutely delicious and we had dinner there every night. The breakfast was also delicious and well served. My room was lovely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly and really makes you feel welcomed and taken care of. I highly recommend the place and would definitely stay there again.

Another delightful visit to our goto hotel in the (northern) Lakes. Staff as friendly and welcoming as ever, beautiful food, lovely room. Snow dusting the mountain tops for stunning views. Nothing more to wish for. Now under new ownership, I would like take the opportunity to wish the former owner Mike all the best for a well-earned retirement. By chance we met the new owners who too are lovely people, local too, and clearly know their trade. I wish them and the staff whom we have come to know over the years all the best for the future, though care will be required to maintain the rather special and successful formula of exceptional food and great hospitality.

We didn’t stay overnight- just went to The Stables for evening meal as non-residents. Extremely welcoming reception- ushered to seats by the fire and offered homemade gin on arrival. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. Every course was delicious and we loved the vibe.

Place is completely closed and no signs of activity. A mattress just sat in reception and all doors locked. Believe it's under new management and being refurbished. No signs though.
