It's a takeaway,whilst the food was ok , haven't used it for a few years ,just wondered why no debit cards were accepted,some sort of tax avoidance scam I guess ,call the HMRC .

Can not fault for their food, always delicious whenever we have had an order from them. And quick service too.

Food is nice, although they do not offer a delivery service so you will need to collect your food. There are a few other Chinese Takeaways which I found were nicer and better priced but its down to personal taste I guess.

Just changed hands apparently, but the good is of the same high quality . My partner especially loves the mixed grill which is great value for money. Had alot of the dishes here and all been very good . Car parking outside on the road or in the square car park

Always a great tasty takeaway. Plenty of vegetarian options always cooked perfectly. We enjoyed the mixed vegetable curry. Portions are generous

Raunds Cottage only does Chinese food, with a varied menu. They only do take-away, with all the food freshly cooked, and as speedy as that can be done considering their popularity. They are excellent at what they do 😎

Food is still very good, however, the menu has increased in price by 20p/30p per item, and is now getting towards being the more costly takeaway in the area, average total increase £1.00 per person. Still worth a visit.

The food here is of a consistant high standard, quick friendly service with avarage prices to other take aways in the area. The desciption of a Resaurant is incorrect, this is a take away only, but a good one that is recommended.

Never had a bad meal from this takeaway, and with a choice of 180 different dishes, which includes vegetarian and English all cooked fresh and served hot. Staff are always pleasant and food is reasonably priced. I pay on average £8.00 per meal, so not expensive.

Been going there for years. Food always of a high standard.Staff friendly. Easy to book on the phone and collect.

Service is quick. Food is pricey for takeaway. Ordered crispy chilly beef and sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style. Tasted like yesterdays food reheated. Really awful texture and taste to both meals. First time I have never eaten a Chinese takeaway. Simply will not be going back there again. Golden Palace far better.

Been here quite a few times as its local. I have never had a meal that I didnt like and it's always been hot when I got it home. The staff have always been pleasant. For the money it's good value but I personally would like to see something on the menu that was a bit different to give it that this is great factor.

Unfortunately we did not get as far as sampling the food so I really can't comment on that. As a potential customer however, I expect to be greeted in a warm and friendly manner by whoever it is at the point of ordering. We felt as though we had intruded on the ladies time, and our question regarding payment was received and delivered back to us with no more than a lack lustre gesture followed by a raising of the eyebrows. The food may well be ok, but we were greeted in a far friendlier way by the young lady down the high in the 'Other' Chinese in town, so we never did find out. Complacency is a fundamental error with established retailers, in all genres. You just never know who walks through the door, potential new customers who have just moved to the area do not have signs on their heads announcing their future spending habits, but I can tell you this, they will not be coming back..

We chose to eat here after it being recommended and reading the reviews. We ordered a choice of dishes for friends to share. But we were very disappointed. We had chilli beef, this was bright red in colour and was quite vinegary. We chose chicken chow mein, which didn't taste of much at all. The mixed chow mein that comes with beef and chicken either side was OK. The chicken was bland but the beef was really tasty and had a nice texture. But again the beef was in bright red sauce, I'm not sure why. Prawn crackers were nice. Chicken curry was very dark brown and powdery. It was OK. Fried rice was fine. Chicken hong Kong style again bright red and to vinigery. I was really disapointed, I had really high hopes after it being recommended.

A friendly greeting, a good menu, great standard of food which always takes a little time to come (a sign its cooked to order and not reheated in my books). You can hear the Chef beavering away out the back and chuntering away, its brilliant (unless its just a recording? - NO!) We go past two other Chinese takeaways to go here, Raunds Cottage is worth the trip.

We regularly use Raunds Cottage Chinese Takeaway. Always a welcome smile, extensive menu to choose from, delicious food & swift service.I've been using them for years and never had a dud meal.Highly recommend them to everyone.

If it was a resaturant you would have to book many weeks in advance,The menu is very good and the quality of the food is always excellent and the portions are generous.....But beware if you have not placed your order in advance you may well be in for a very long wait. Call at the wrong time and you can be queuing outside it is that popular......
