Rascals Cafe Bar in Gwynedd

Visited this bar this evening with friends. Was enjoying a nice drink ( fantastic range ) when asked to move from where we were sitting by group of students who wanted the space to themselves. As locals were quite annoyed when told that town wouldn't survive without them - hence implying they were more important. After somewhat heated discussion left and will not return.

Terrible. A bunch of loud and unprofessional people seem to run this pub. You can just see staff drinking with customers and getting hammered by the end of their shift. In the whole street you can just hear them laughing out loud all the way through the night. They are even louder than the customers/students themselves when visiting. Disgraceful.

The best service in Bangor is Craig . Generally wanted him to come for a night out. And the drink are super cheap. Defo would recommend

First place where all the students go to on their first arrival in Bangor. It is a fun place in a good location.

Interesting is a word that works!! You’d expect a cafe bar to offer good coffees and good wines, but maybe neither have made their way to Bangor! Atmosphere ok and good choice of beers and gins

Located close to university number of young and loud people there is not surprising. Darts and snooker pool available. Beer at reasonable price.

Visited on a Sunday. Bar staff are excellent. Great music and just an overall great atmosphere. Best night out I’ve had in a while! Will 100% be back!!! Highly recommend everyone try’s this place out!!!

Decent place to go on a night out before going to a club. Bar staff and bouncers can be really rude but the owner is lovely

First bar to go on a night out a few drinks couple of games of pool at 50p a go shots a pound and drinks are cheap. Ladies toilets need a clean.

Visited with a friend and we had fun with the jukebox all night. Excellent place, in particular rin the summer when the students are out of town. Then you can have the whole place almost to your self and really get a party going :)

The jukebox was full of good tunes, Staff were happy, almost excited, to see locals and tourists alike. Good prices.

Used to be a really good venue and always had a good atmosphere. This has given way to alcoholics, junkies idiotic students etc. Defintely avoid now on a night out much better venues in Bangor.

great nights, great people, great vibes. Interesting music nights and good value for money drinks. Hit with students and locals alike.
