Rasa Bojun in Harrow

I would not even bother going there, we have booked for 25 people. They gave the smallest portions ever and there was just too much sauce so they could sell smaller portions. As we pre booked, we wanted to have some music, but apparently, music wasn't available, and they didn't know how to switch it on. The service was very poor, we had to keep going to the bar and ask for cutlery, cups etc, we even had to arrange the tables ourselves. So guys, this is one place we will never visit again and will not recommend it to anyone else.

Visited here twice- staff are polite, respectful, helpful and efficient. 1st visit, ordered appa, chicken curry and sambol- all food was tasty and authentic. The waiter suggested that we order an additional plain appa, saying that it would be ‘on the house’…when the bill arrived, we noticed that they charged us- that was sly and disappointing- nobody likes to be cheated…so be aware of this tactic they use. 2nd visit, ordered chicken curry and rotti- food was again delicious. Ordered a takeaway from here of Chicken Lampreis- food was delicious- surprised with the basmati rice used here instead of samba rice- still delicious. Impressed that they offered cadju (cashew nut) curry because not all restaurants serving Lampreis offer cashew nut curry- grateful and enjoyed. The wambatu (eggplant) fry, ala thel dala (chilli Potatoe fry), seeni sambol (chilli onion fry), chicken curry and egg were all tasty. It’s a shame that the fish cutlet was burnt- though this still tasted nice. Overall, I would recommend visiting here. I would visit again

Rasa Bojun offers fresh and tasty hoppers, but the service can be slow. Portion sizes are very small for the prices paid, especially compared to other Sri Lankan restaurants. While it’s a good place for hoppers, other dishes like Lamprais and Kothus are bland and overpriced. Despite being under new management, they need to improve their pricing and portion sizes to attract more customers and stay in business.

As the name suggests Rasa Bojun used to offer really tasty Sri Lankan food. But for some reason the quality of food has deteriorated. Not happy with this order at all.

This place used to provide a good dine-in experience a few months back. Unfortunately, now the quality has dropped down. We went on Saturday evening. The lady was rude. It took ages to receive food. They have stopped the buffet as well. The prices of the food are also expensive compared to other places around the area. Not worth for the money.

Worst unauthentic tasteless and absolutely horrendous food at this restaurant. We ordered many things all of the curries and everything we ordered was completely dull and not good at all. We left all of the food that we ordered. An hour bill was around £80. The hoppers tasted so sour like the batter had been fermented over a couple of weeks. The curries was so watery and the portions were so small it was a little bit comical when the food arrived how small the portions were considering the price, the mutton curry was actually looking like a joke, as well as some of the other dishes, it was laughable portion sizes more like tapas style . Definitely not authentic srilankan suga. I know one that there was nobody in the restaurant except for us all made sense after the food came. The service was strange no professionalism at all. It looked like the waiters Thursday and had no idea what was going on? Definitely avoid if you would like to save your money and go to a proper good restaurant or Srilankan one that I’m yet to find however I would avoid this at all cost and don’t recommend because this is the worst Sri Lankan restaurant that we have ever been to all of the London Sri Lankan restaurant so far and we have been to around 12. Not to mention the food arrive one hour later for it to just be tasteless and watery and disgusting. We went to another restaurant after this.

My most disappointing meal of 2024 coupled with terrible service. My wife and I were the only ones in the restaurant at 6:45pm for dinner. I ordered chicken curry with egg hopper and wife ordered mutton curry with vechu roti. I know aapam take a bit of time to prep but it took them 20+ min to make 2 eggs and heat up a curry. The chicken curry with meal was tiny portions so I ordered an additional portion of curry as we were very hungry. Chef reheated the existing curry and added tons of water to it. I had no energy to send it back as I was hungry. When the bill came I gave them the feedback that service is really slow given they had no other customer they need to do better. Secondly chicken curry felt like leftovers from lunch buffet that was reheated. Host said I will cancel the entire bill which didnt feel right to me as I had the food. I told her to remove the chicken curry alone from the bill. She went to check with her manager who told her we should have complained before we finished our meal, since we complained after the meal I need to pay for it. Never experienced such pathetic service like this before, no wonder the place is always empty. Stay away from this place. You get better Sri lankan food at Virundhu just 5 min away from here. Definitely not returning here.

We really loved the atmosphere. Went there on a Sunday evening. Had plain Hoppers, egg hoppers and Nutella hoppers. As well as Cheese Chicken Kottu. And we tried Coriander tea. Food and everything was really nice. All enjoyed food and time there. Really nice customer service. Kudos to the team.

Not sure how people have eaten here. As someone who knows authentic Sri Lankan food, I can say it’s the worst “Sri Lankan” food I have ever had. Over priced and not authentic. I don’t think they know how to cook at all. Another friend we know who ate here ended up getting food poisoning. Bad food hygiene- as it’s not the first time this has happened here.

Friendly service and great food.

I tried this place out long time ago. I thought to try it again after a very long time. Except, I’m not Sri-Lankan and I’m not very familiar with their food. I’ve called over the phone to ask the lady for some recommendations. Whilst I’m ordering, I’ve stated what I wanted. After that, she hangs up the phone. I recall to ask whether they accept card, and she stated whether I would like to proceed with that order. Not once did I mention that I don’t want to proceed.. just needed a bit of guidance that’s all. Her attitude was poor and no sense of customer service at all.

We had a very nice time at Rasa bojun. They provided a great service absolutely loved this place and the food was amazing so is the atmosphere such lovely service can’t wait to go there again.

Wonderful authentic Sri Lankan food experience

First time visited. A friend recommended and must say I was not disappointed. As a Chef in the US, I too would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to taste authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Thanks to fantastic service and exceptional tase of Sri Lanka! We will be back.

Excellent, tasty Sri Lankan food. Hoppers were delicious. With live music, the atmosphere couldn’t be much better. Went with family, we had a great time. Will be visiting frequently.

Recently visited this place on a Sunday evening. Food was not that great but okaish. Service was very bad even though it was not crowded they were very slow. On top of that they were preparing some of the foods near the counter and it was suffocating. You could smell the food and sneez. Music was super loud. Not gonna go there again.

I had been during the weekdays and the food was very good though the food came 1h late. Brought my family back on the weekend and the food was completely different ( different curry was given for same meal) and Appam was cold. The staff had said the chef was different both time which I’m not sure how they would change the taste and texture of the same meal. The chef from the weekday (Tuesday) was very good. I must also add it was not disclosed that the menu on the weekend is more expensive for a quality of food which was worse.

The food is exceptional with quick service. The staff were all lovely and created a very hospitable atmosphere. The chicken koththu as well as the Nasi goreng were two of my favourites. However the starters and the choice in curries were also very good. My family and I went on their appa night and this was definitely worth it.

Visited them yesterday , 25.06.23. The food , specially the hoppers were very tasty and fresh. But there was no air condition. & the service was very very very slow. .

Hoppers were delicious.we ordered it as starters.We also ordered sea food fried rice and kottu.Kottu wasn’t that great.However, fried rice was delicious.Overall I wish they could improve hygiene level and atompsphere:They had a new guy and he was very supportive.

Disgraceful & they shouldn't run a restaurant and also they don't have change in their tills and you have to come with no change. High prices compare to all UK restaurants they might be on central London zone charge.

Simply the best. We just went in for a snack. Mutton rolls, fish cutlets, cauliflower fry and one milk hopper. Excellent food and service with a smile.

Possibly the worst service ever received by staff. Heard it’s a nice place for hoppers and went there with family only to be told they can’t do hoppers. Ordered food as normal , the service was very late, no water on the table and we had to ask. Staff do not know how to treat their customers. What was more disappointing is that the owners friends came into the shop and ordered hoppers which they got. How is that possible to tell a customer they don’t have hoppers and yet serve hoppers to another customer right in front of them. Possibly the worst Sri Lankan restaurant we’ve ever been to, Will never visit again.

Very bad experience on dining in with extended family. Since the management changed end of last year, the waitress was very slow taking order. When starters arrived its came one by one. time in between 10 to 15mins. same applied on main course. taste was not great. towards the end we thought we finished all our orders on main meal and paid to leave, waitress was coming in to serve another dish only stopped by cashier thinking we didn't notice. She had no curtesy to apologise for it. they also put the price up. bad service!! not great taste and expensive!. I will never go again.

Qualität des Essens ganz gut, aber mehrere Stunden auf das essen gewartet. Teile der Bestellung wurden gar nicht zu Tisch gebracht. Gab zwar appam aufs Haus aber alles in allem leider kein gelungener Abend.

Very bad welcoming and service. The food tastes , quality and quantity are very poor. We were waiting for long time to get our food and drinks. They charged a lot than other restaurants. We wasted our time and money😟😡😒 Our second time going, we ordered nasi goreng and got sick. We had to stand up and get our drinks and waited 2 hours until we saw our main meals. We ordered two rice dishes and paid for both on the bill but then the hid the second rice dish and made us pay £10 extra.

Absolutely loved the food. Authentic and so tasty. Loved the egg hopper, the aubergine pickle and the dal. A bit disorganised service but we had a lovely attentive waitress. Very good value for money.

Ordered a Lamprais for takeaway and received a cold one which I had to bring home & steam for a very long time for it to be edible. Never received cold Lamprais from anywhere else I’ve got it from, was really weird & also lacked the usual items provided in a Lamprais. Not worth the price at all.

Visited Rasa Bojun Rayners Lane for the first time.A Sri Lankan Restaurant serving authentic Lankan cuisine.I was quite surprised by this tastefully decorated with accent on Lankan culture depicted all over. To say the least there was even a small Miris Gala. Though tiny it does catches the eye for its ingenuity in its placing. Having tasted food from almost all Sri Lankan restaurants in London I have to give this place a thumbs up on the genuine flavours of Sri Lanka. Spices were mixed in artful combination so as to not loose the taste of the produce. I have to say I partook of quite few dishes ranging from the started of golden fish cutlets, sweetness cauliflower a mixed sizzling grill,sea food fried rice, Koththu, a favourite, biriyani and the top favourite an egg hopper. Unfortunately did not anymore room to taste wonderful looking Watalappam. Next time. The best attraction of the place is the live music that is played throughout the evening and bit of baila and the invitation to take to the floor to the rhythm of the Sri Lankan favourite music. It’s a gem of a place. Quite enjoyed ourselves. An owner and the chef Jeevani does a wonderful job with her team of staff. An exceptional knowledge in the foods they serve and service with the WOW factor in place. Thanks for a wonderful evening Rasa Bojun. Will be back for more Rasa Bojun in near future. Had a fabulous dinner at Rass Bojun, having visited the restaurant few times, I am very content with the quality, presentation, taste, cleanliness and, the service. Service was very poor. Not welcoming or friendly. Main meal arrived for the person I was with, then my main meal arrived 20mins after that! All dishes we ordered we’re not great either! Hoppers were cold, devilled dish was undercooked and Kothu was soggy and tasteless. Very disappointed!

Our second visit. Very nice ambience, friendly staff who hosted us with pleasant hospitality. We had seafood sizzler, lamb kottu, veechu roti, spicy fish curry. Amazing food!! Great Sri Lankan food. Not spicy. If you go during the week end for the buffet price you can eat also unlimited Appa. You can request music by payment, I did because of my Degree. The buffet menu its 17,90£, including generally 2 rices, 2 type of meat or fish, and various vegetables. Recommend to book in advance. Kids eat free under 5 years and half price till 12 years old.

Was simply strolling for a.place to eat and this place caught the eye. And glad it did. There wasn't a huge amount in terms of maintaining social distancing so be prepared to be near people as its not a restaurant for more than 50 people at one time. Either way I was ready for some good food and this place did not disappoint. We had the 'Devilled Paneer' and 'Devilled Mutton (lamb)' for starters. Then I had a Mutton Kothu whilst my Uncle had a fish curry with rothi. They were not super spicy (I can handle quite a bit) but the flavour was delicious. I was pretty much stuffed at the end. Thoroughly reccomend eating here it was good. Only thing was the slow service, as it took about 15 minutes just to get menus. I understand that they were very busy though and short staffed so I expect on a good night they are fast.

They served us delicious food at a very reasonable price. The covid safety was also good with spacing between tables, masks and NHS app check-in

Incredible restaurant! Went to grab a lamprais as a takeaway and it was so good we travelled across London to eat in last night. Tried egg hoppers, chicken curry, biryani, cashew nut curry and tempered potatoes. It was so good we will be coming back whenever we are around the area. Service was also very good!

Took a bit long but lovely food

Normally service is amazing but this time around, it was terrible. With the flooding from the toilet. We ate cold hoppers, salty sea food platter. The only positive from the night, was the young girl who was very polite and apologetic.

Best Sri Lanka buffet in London. Will definitely visit when I’m in London

Chef Jeevani is the inspiration behind London's best Sri Lankan buffet hosted @rasabojunuk. 'Rasa Bojun' means tasty feast and over 75% of the dishes served are vegan. Hailing from the West of Sri Lanka, her dishes are cooked in the Gampaha style. Her cooking is delicious and my only regret is that I didn't visit her place sooner! Highlights include hoppers, the bowl-shaped gluten-free vegan pancakes with accompanying vegan sambols, kankun, cashew and chilli stir-fry, mango curry, potato and aubergine curry. Dessert is included (fruit salad, dairy curd and treacle, watalappam which is a coconut sugar, sweet spice and egg custard). Dishes are unapologetically Sri Lankan in flavour whilst not being especially spicy. The meat and fish options are spicy and her chicken biriyani is the best I've tried in the UK. Come hungry, pay £14.75 for unlimited food on a buffet night (they have live music and dancing on Saturdays) and enjoy yourself. This value for money feast is well worth the trek!

I visited the restaurant now few times with my friends. Authentic Sri Lanka food and absolutely delicious and priced reasonably . Staff is very friendly. Another good thing is that the owner personally comes and greet you. Simply Awesome !

Fabulous food and friendly service. Along side a delicious array of freshly made dishes in the buffet, the chef was cooking a variety of Hoppers in front of you. Lovely relaxed vibe. Family friendly and I've already booked to go back! If you would like great Sri Lankan food - here it is!!

I haven’t been to the restaurant yet but orderd some take away lamprais with a short notice and Jeevani still mange to make it, the best lamprais we ever had every one enjoyed it, will defo come to the restaurant for a meal Thank you Jeevani keep up the good food

Hi, yesterday we had my mother in law b’day party in this place we were 21 people and we all were disappointed today because of bad food.all of as have diarrhea since yesterday and 4 of them didn’t went to work including me.2 girl s they went school but with this problem they come back home with principal permission .athers are still suffering in there own toilets 😢.this is not frist time this happened so they don’t have any food control at all I think.it was a definitely old chicken curry we had yesterday.so that is last time we gona be there.i kindly request from all you be were of that and avoids this place please.

This is worst Sri Lankan food ever I had and my friends as well. Food is really bad and some of them mould. It’s not proper Sri Lankan food. And they charge extra service charge for the buffet. I don’t know what kind of charge is this. When we call they not told about this service charge. And we went 20 people they charge extra charge for the starter plus service charge. Something fraud going through n here. And they didn’t give proper receipt. I am not recommending to any one this place..

Very nice food and good service

One of the few places you can fine authentic Sri Lankan food. Tasty flavoursome food with great service. Friendly staff. Bar available for drinks for your own liking. Sri Lankan hoppers are one of the hits here and rarely you could find tasty hoppers in London. Highly recommended.

If you are craving for some authentic Sri Lankan food in London, then it is one of the places to visit. Having said that some dishes like Chicken curry and rice are rather dry and undercooked. They seem to serve old food at times. Service is poor quality and bit overpriced. Also they seem to charge extra whenever they can and there seems to be no policy on customer comes first. Twice the menu stated £5 for a dish and both times the cashier said 10. I would say to cross check the price with the team before you order the meals.
