Amazing restaurent with good food, friendly staffs and good ambience.

Poor service, cannot get a simple order right.

The place has a good atmosphere with attentive staff. Visited there twice. It's a decent place for someone who is trying Nepali food for the first time. I ordered Momo, Aloo Nimki, Chai and Samosa Chaat. I liked momo the most; the others were okay.

I been there on Jan 25 with Legendary Selo Singer Chandra Kumar Dong and Indian Idol Session 3 winner Singer Prashant Tamang. They behaved us rudely. Service was poor. No hospitality Specially Dinesh was so rude like a mannerless. Highly recommend no one not go to there.

Horrible food for catering! The alu dum was uncooked & it was raw. I ordered it for my cousins weaning ceremony and it will probably will be my last! I dont recommend ordering catering for bulk food to anyone. It ruined the night & it was horrible. We esp requested for spicy hot achar but it was just minty and sweet sauce. What a horrible experience! I told all my families/friends not to order it from again. What an absolute terrible food!!!

Me, wife and the son finished eating. The daughter waited additional 1 hour 40 min before her food arrived. No way this is 4.1 No matter what, this is an absolute absurd.

The worst service in my entire experience. We all had our food apart from my 12 years old daughter. She waited additional 1 hour 40 minutes, after we were finished, for her food to arrived. Never going there again.

Son took us for the birthday dinner. Very awful experience. Looked empty at first, Then some couples came in and then their regular customers at the drinks bar. Poor service at start. We ordered drinks and food. Drinks were ok. Food was very bland and tooo spicy. Chicken Maji Maji Kenyan style should be with gravy and was all dry. Chicken pieces were tough and looked ike it was reheated in microwave. When asked the waiter said it's all freshly made and is supposed to be dry. Veg momo was bland. Potato 65 was like again microwaved reheated. Mix bhel was too spicy. Only Rice was cooked well. Not going again.

I was greeted really well, and at first, everything seemed great. But once I sat down, the service completely fell apart. I tried to get the waiter’s attention multiple times, but it was like I was invisible. He noticed someone behind me right away, but no matter how much I called, he didn’t even glance my way. All I wanted was to ask for some boiled rice, but I couldn’t even get that far. It was beyond frustrating, and I left feeling completely overlooked.

It has a nice family friendly atmosphere with good food portions to taste but service at times can be a little slow. If service speed is upgraded I’d defo give 10/10

It’s always nice to be there to grab quick or long bite or drink ….. Flavours & aroma of the foods takes me back to my home .. Staffs seems always cheerfull to serve..

Service was good .food wasnt that great at all chatpat was too illy that wasn’t like Nepali style at all , I ate buff sukuti it was like stone and oily momo achar like burger mayo I wouldn’t recommend anyone however waiters was cool and calm . I would say golden sip more alike Indian cuisine rather than Nepali .everest Nepali shopkeeper recommends us golden sip but honestly it was not great food .I wonder why chef doesn’t taste or look .must be chef not from Nepal .momo was too suggy overall you need to change chef

The place is one of the better known fusion Nepalese places. The location was convenient to get to. Food was above average. However, the ambiance was not very inviting; was a bit noisy when we visited. It might have to do something about that day and it may not be such on other days. We'd heard good things about the food especially momo but we did not find it to be worthy to be the talk of the town. On the flip side, chatpate and the chicken wings were absolutely smashing. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend to give it a go!

We had dinner yesterday but during my dinner time corner table was taking electric cigarette in side restaurant which is not legal to smoke inside restaurant, Management team of the restaurant need to be worry about other Client health .

We had a birthday party celebration for my son.Staffs were very helpful and services was very good. The only thing i was not satisfied was the limited menu plan for the party as per the price.

What an amazing place to be around. A family run business fantastically serves its customer to meet all the client's expectations and go beyond extra mile to make their customers happy. We booked a whole place for 200 guests and the service went fawless. Our guests were extremly happy with foods which were served freshly cooked, service provided by the floor staffs as well as management team and the enviroment. If I have to do next function defo Golden Sip will be on top of my list. Thank you Golden Sip family for making our function go as smooth as butter.🙏🙏🙏

Very good fusion Indian nepalese food

Saturday evening, went for a quick family dinner. The place was quiet and I think some celebration was going on in the banquet hall. It was cold inside the restaurant. However, we enjoyed the food. The spicy pork slices were delicious. I would recommend the place if you love Nepalese cuisine.

Never seem to have what I want to order! Disappointing as I know the family owners quite well.

Asked for Buff Sukuti takeaway which charged me £12 something and came with more yellow chilli and onion than sukuti. Very expensive with the quantity they serve comparing other Nepalese restaurant.

Mogo chilly was the best. The prices are bit high for the quantity served compared to other Nepalese restaurants I visited. To find parking is bit difficult at this location. The staff is friendly

Atmosphere was good to go with friends or family. But not that satisfied with the food taste. No consistency.

Had a take out for a family meal and it was so disappointing. The curry’s had no flavour and looked stale. Waste of money.! First and last time I’ll get food from here.

Such an amazing place to visit, being Nepali and getting that texture of Nepal in every dish is mouthwatering as well as reminding of being home country. Sukuti chatpat and chicken Momo are my best.

Was passing by the parade and fancied some authentic Indian/Nepalese food so popped in. Set at the bar and ordered a drink. Waitress poured half a drink than went to serve another customer. She then forgot about me. I reminded her and received my drink. I went through the menu and ordered a takeaway. Sheek kebabs, chicken wings and there recommended special Nepalese lamb curry. I ordered another drink while I waited for my food. It was early evening on a Friday, the place was not busy. After 20 minutes I asked when the food would be ready. They said very soon. After another 10 minutes my takeaway arrived. Sheek kebabs glowing in red food colouring Chicken wings - edible nothing special, better than the sheek kebabs Lamb special - mushy lamb pieces, very salty - not edible - straight in the bin. Waitress was useless, a waiter was helpful. Got the feeling the owners were not really bothered about the business. It’s sad because it’s a nice location.

Worst ever experience I ordered and waited for 30 misn for the food. Nothing came and I asked for the update and I got the answer that they had got some takeaway orders. Table booked and we are waiting for the food and got a reply that they had got take away orders. I wanted to book the party for 60 people I even asked for ot. But forget the service they are so arrogant and won't respect your precious time. Never go to golden sip and never book anything with them.... If tou don't believe just go and keep on wait.. Bloody useless people..no customer service and customer care.. Don't waste your time

Very nice food However, we have booked fir an event to our surprise we got tgere to find out there was another event taking place and we arevNHS staff from the local hospital who have looked after the owner of this place previously admitted to jennet ward. How disrespectful could you be. Shame on you you don't value your customer and the nurses who have looked after you.

They ask a single waiter to look after the whole place… that is gonna make everything slow.. the waiter does his best.. but they need to look after their staff.. manager is not smiling not happy comes with food jst gives and then go .. food was good but please dont let 1 staff handle whole restaurant

Staff are kind, atmosphere is relaxing and the food is top notch. Lovely variety of delicious dishes from lovely Nepalese cuisine. I would highly recommend this place. I have ordered and dined in here for years and is an absolute gem. They have constantly kept up with their high standards and consistently provide a lovely service and lovely food.

As a Nepali, can say this is one of the few good Nepalese restaurants in London (including Greater London).

So how is the Golden sip. Well the food is better, the staff are just as friendly and really can't find a better Nepali place than this. The momos the mixed grill and OMG the garlic naan. The simpler menu just works. Go there to support a good local business. Keep going people. Let the food speak. Anyway see below for my review from 2013. This review is what I posted almost 10 years ago. Golden Sip hosted our wedding reception here in London and it was fantastic! Raj and his team were fantastic! They looked after everything really well especially when it rained and everything started getting delayed! The food was amazing! I never thought it would taste even better than the taster session we had prior to the event! Amazing food, and friendly waiting staff make this place the best in the area. Try the Nepalese food as it is very different to your traditional Indian Fare

We had a small get together on Saturday for Lunch at Golden sip. We all really enjoyed the food. The food was really nice and fresh. The service and atmosphere were also good. Highly recommend this place..

I ordered methi chicken main dish, too much salt and looks like methi was not washed properly , feels sand inside so can’t eat it. Had to throw the food. Very disgusting and unhealthy food

Absolutely love this local restaurant. Food is lovely. Its a real chill out place to meet with lads and just have a good old catch up. Food is well presented and hygiene is good. Never had issues from here. One of my fav little restaurants with Genuine Nepalese and Indian food. Just a bit of slow service. And obviously needs a bit of renovating inside but I ain't fussed! Cheers to the chefs they do a great job!

The food was great! The place does need a refurbishment and a good clean. However this all can be overlooked if the customer service was good! Along with all our food we ordered masala mogo which the waitress repeated our order to confirm, i was absolutely perplexed to see the way the order had come out (i.e. we recieved the poppadoms right at the end), i still had to call someone over to ask them how long it will take! In the end we got the bill and still did not even get our "masala mogo"! It made it worse to see that they did not add this to the bill so they had completely disregarded one of the dishes!! Main issues here "CUSTOMER SERVICE" and "WAITING TIME" was appalling and must change!!

One of my favorites of this area whether for food or to watch sports. Have been going here for almost 7-8 years and it has stayed consistently good. Masala mogo, thakali set and jhol or fried momo are the standout dishes.

Poor service, food was awful, they have zero idea of hospitality, I highly recommend not to go there unless you want to ruin your beautiful day.

Been a few times but tonight the usual standard was missing. Slow service, had to keep trying to attract the waiters for drinks, orders and bill. Kenyan lamb was a disgusting as mostly gristle. Complained bur got nowhere.

Being a Nepali far away from home i cherish every moment i get to spend at this restaurant. The food reminds me of all my memories enjoying the delicious food and love from back home with my friends and family. The ambience and warm company of the family that run the restaurant is something i treasure in my daily life. If you are ever anywhere close i recommend you definetly give this place a go !! Newari Khaja Set is a must. 🤤🤤

One of the best customer service i got from the staff, authentic nepali taste on Nepalese food and right spices on indian options,heaven for foodies.MUST TRY NEWARI SET,CHICKEN TIKKA.I think golden sip is one of the few nepali resturants which has a wide range of options for draught beer and cocktails as well . satisfaction 💯every time i visit the place.

we visited the restaurant on 14th feb 2022 to celebrate the birthday party of my friend.Very arrogant and rude behaviour by the member of staff and the person claims as the owner of the restaurant. he has spoiled my friends birthday party and does not have manners to speak to woman. I will not recommend this place and also not a great food.

If only there was a minus star rating would justify the quality of this resturant.The most unprofessional Nepalese restaurant in the town.The staff haven't got a clue about what hospitality means.The owner of the restaurant is arrogant and his behaviour towards the guest is very rude diminishing the core value of Nepalese culture not very welcoming.The food is awful as you can taste only chilli and lemon poured all over it. The tables and chairs are covered with dirty white clothing giving it a feeling of a banquet hall rather than a restaurant . It takes ages for the food to be served and the waiting staff are lost in their own world when asked upon a question about the food.Highly recommend to avoid this place at all .

The owner ended up shouting and screaming at the birthday girl after a simple request. The owner was rude and threatening - go to this place at your own risk! Worst food to go along with the above. Avoid at all costs.

Really hope the owners read these reviews Used to be really nice and went back yesterday for the first time in several years. The place needs a revamp massively. Half of it is hardfloor and half carpet. The carpet needs replacing or changing to hardfloor. The service was fine and hence 2 stars but food wasn't great. He said the chef was new but everything we ordered was average at best. Up your game and I'll be back

We have been to this restaurant for many years now. This is classic fusion food from Indian and Nepal. We can vouch for pretty much most dishes but never reviewed and this deserves a review. We are regular customers. The momo's (chilli) and chicken lollipops are excellent and are house favourite and we always order these starters. Mains and naans are of high standard as are the rice dishes (biriyani/raita) we have consumed in the past. We have never consumed desserts. Drinks can be hit and miss and you have to be on the ball when ordering and asking for your bill - hence the minus start. Generally speaking, service is fine. This is some of the best food in the area, we always come here and maybe nearby Blue Ginger can compete. I have had the chicken tikka masala numerous times and its one of the best I have tried. Give this place a go, you will enjoy the food!

i ordered some food with dessert but the people they didn’t send the desert and plus the sekuwa was very very bad and pani puri was so sweet as i ordered the spicy pani . i am so disappointed with food.

The food was very very good. The flavours were spot on and everything tasted as expected. However, as good as the food was, that's how slow the service was, we had to ask a number of times how long the food would take and the place was not that busy.

Nice place to unwind. We were late and kitchen was closed. But still chef prepared us snack. Nice courtesy of them.

So slow service and Food is not great as before. If you dont have few good extra hours than it is not worth going there. Do not expect the same taste anymore.
