Rara’s Corner in Newham

The food, service and value for money is top class and the best Mediterranean spot in the area. Great wine and selection of dishes. Will certainly be back soon.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times as the food is usually excellent but this time our experience was not as good. They have changed the menu to tapas (little plates) but this is not made clear on the menu or when ordering. The vegetarian choices though sounded nice most of them had mushrooms in which my husband could not have as he is allergic. The one thing that he chose was spicy when on the menu did not specify this. All in all quite a disappointing visit this time and put us off visiting it again. It's a shame because the staff are very pleasant. Maybe going forward the menus could be clearer that they are tapas and the staff can be more informative before the customer orders.

We went there last night for a special birthday celebration. The food was absolutely delicious, however, the service was a terrible let down, so much so that we actually had to make phone calls to the restaurant to get attention for our table to be served.

Went for dinner recently with my family. Hadn’t been before but had heard good things. Food was superb and the staff were very friendly. A hidden gem. Would go again!

Having read glowing reviews we were really looking forward to our visit to Raras. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Having made our choices we were surprised when the waitress informed us there was no pizzaiolo to make the pizza we wanted to order. We should have been informed of this when we sat down. Eagerly awaiting our meal we were again upset when it arrived. Lasagna served luke warm with more pasta sheets than meat, ravioli - stoggy with hardly any filling and tasteless sauce. Also not served hot. The sauce with the halloumi salad lacked chilli and was very salty. Desserts were tiny portions for the price charged. Seriously don’t know why people are raving about this restaurant. We would definitely not go again or recommend. The only positives was the decor, comfortable chairs and ambience.

It’s great to find a local restaurant with good food and good service and very reasonably priced. It’s relatively new to the area and we had been recommended. We all enjoyed our food and look forward to returning.

If you haven’t yet tried raras_corner, in Edgware, why not? The room is very well appointed, the lovely owner is friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. I loved the fresh pasta and the amazing desserts. Although the place is very busy at weekends, it is also open during the week (not Mondays) for a peaceful meal. It is ideal for families, couples or even a big group celebrating a birthday.

Great food , hot and presented beautifully , and the waiter helped de bone my fish to make it easier to eat , atmosphere was cosy calm and friendly , with ambient music in background .Am looking forward to going back when I I the area again , oh and the tiramisu was to die for by the way xxxxx
