Did not stay in the hotel but enjoyed a first rate lunch - a gargantuan portion of steak and ale pie with the most tender beef and delicious sauce from a good menu with daily specials.Very friendly and efficient staff.Very good local beer and fresh coffee

45 minute wait for food and slow service despite not being busy, sides came out ten minutes after and quality of products significantly dropped from last time we visited. Also reduced menu with 0 information on tables. Would avoid for lunch but cake selection still looked nice for tea & cake

2 Burghmuir DriveI've never been to a chippy that comes out light on the chips, £7.40 for fish is fine, but charging £3.50 for a portion of chips a kid would have found small isn't good enough. need to do better
