Just bought some lovely somosas from Omar, prepared on the premises by his wife. They are only £1.90 each and an amazing £1.00 on Saturdays. Like all their food, highly recommended and scrupulously clean.

We visit weekly with our children, they absolutely love the milkshakes! I highly recommend the mint or apple tea. We always leave with some amazing baklava or spicy samosas. Mr Bistro is so kind and friendly. *****

Beautiful lunch time snacks, meals, burritos, falafel, kebabs to jacket potatoes and salads, home made baklava and cakes (Victoria sponge, chocolate concrete with custard, carrott cake, selection of other), all reasonably priced. Clean, bright environment, now a couple of tables outside, owner so conscientious and takes customer service and his food seriously. Yes, I DO like this place.

Delicious, fresh, best falafel I’ve probably ever had! It’s quite local to me so I’ll be going back more often for sure

Popped in to grab a coffee and snack for lunch. Coffee was excellent and all food freshly made/baked. I left with a vegetable samosa and baklava which were both lovely. This is a hidden gem!

I had a naan bread with spiced lamb mince and cheese. A little bit like a naan bread based pizza. Very tasty and it made a great light lunch. Prices are reasonable too. I'll definitely be coming back.

We keep going back to the Bistro and always happy to see Omar and enjoy his tasty food and marvel at his hygienic attention to food preparation. Cotteridge is so privileged to have the Bistro - but do we appreciate it enough? Here is his falafel dish just before I ate it!

Don't let the outside fool you, once you're inside there is so much to choose from and everything is super tasty. We've already decided what we're having on our next visit! 😋

Stopped off for a quick bite eat here and had the tastiest bacon sandwich I've ever had. The bread was oven fresh, springy and with a good crust and the bacon was very tasty, perfectly cooked, not dried out, not too pale and floppy but with a good colour and just enough crispiness to the fat. This was washed down with a very flavoursome pot of tea which made a very pleasant change from a lot of tea that is served in some cafes. This all came with friendly efficient service. Very reasonably priced, will happily return. On the down side I had an unpleasant experience with the door handle on the inside of the cafe which almost bites one's hand of on closing the door on entering and opening it again on leaving. Also personally I find a television unnecessary and distracting in a cafe.

Muchas gracias!

Don't let the simple decor fool you. The homemade food is fabulous and they really know how to make a proper cup of coffee. Open 6 days a week from 10 to around 6 p.m.

Bistro Cafe es uno de los mejores cafés que he comido. Con respecto a la limpieza, es impecable. Su servicio es rápido y acogedor, y los empleados son muy amables. La comida es de lejos lo mejor del café y su menú es muy diverso.

I've passed by this cafe many times and not been tempted. From them exterior I thought it was a run down cheap fast food joint. How wrong I was! When I finally ventured in I found a small but exceptionally clean cafe. The food was excellent. The only of my preconceptions that was right was that the food is cheap and exceptional value including the cakes baked by the owner. Even the coffee is served in bone China and thus keeps nice and hot while you savour your food.

I have being eating lunch at Ramiro's from time to time for two years now. It is a small cafe located in Cotteridge shopping centre, not far from from the Kings Norton Railway Station and almost opposite Lloyds Bank. He offers light lunches, paninis, salads, pastas, burgers, as well as an assortment of cakes. All the food is cooked on the premises. He is incredibly clean and wears transparent plastic gloves when he brings the food to the table. The venue is small and they have a thriving take-away service. They are not open in the evening. But most amazing of all are the prices - it is incredibly cheap - in fact the cheapest for such high-quality food that I have ever paid and he never seems to put up his prices. Complaints - hard to find any - perhaps the coffee is not up to scratch, but who cares. The owner is a Iraqi Kurd and the menu also includes some exciting dishes from his part of the world. Definitely worth visiting - you will not be disappointed.

Had a buffet delivered, gold star for 10 people.. when it arrived various items missing had to make a couple of texts to ask for the missing items to be delivered. Tbf, some of the buffet was okay, but salad/crudities were not good, cold mangetout, horrible cold mini corn.. A lot of money for what we had. We did get money back for the missing dips and coleslaw (only 1 delivered) they did send a lovely lady round with the missing items, by which time all our guests had arrived. We were celebrating big birthdays across our family

The lamb was absolutely delicious! As I started eating, I actually wondered if I had mistakenly ordered a beef steak, but it turned out to be lamb. I was truly impressed by the texture and the rich flavour of the gravy. Overall, it was an excellent meal!

Popped in here for lunch with my husband and not disappointed. Warm, clean and comfortable with friendly staff who are volunteers. Food is delicious, recommend the ham, Brie and cranberry sandwich, and reasonably priced. Two coffees, a wrap and a sandwich served with crisps and salad for £10.
