Fab food is very reasonably priced, too. Don't be put off by the decor. Staff are friendly. Will be returning.

Food was good overall but wasn’t given paneer which was a shame.

Six of us had dinner here. The service, although a little slow, was good, The food was excellent. We had a range of food from the menu and it was all good. Value was also good. I would like to think on my next visit we would go back.

Good: Chicken tikka pathia was good, so were the poppadoms and the red sauce condiment. Bad: order took an hour on a Tuesday, seems long to me. I ordered a chicken shashlick starter but it was not included, I couldn't be bothered to call and complain considering the delivery time. 😕 I received 8 free onion bhajis, but they weren't good so I only ate a few of them. 😬 With so many similar options in Rugeley, I'd advise to try elsewhere.

They got the order slightly wrong but it tasted great!

Unfortunately not a pleasant dish, very salty, ate a couple of pieces of chicken, not what I was expecting for a tikka masala, sauce not tasty, rice not to my taste at all and the peshwari naan was bright yellow inside. All put in the bin.

This place is so delicious! For the first time EVER I have tasted really authentic, tasty, healthy, delicious halal food. It's like visiting your relatives house and they made you a delicious meal. We really enjoyed it. Parking so easy and service so quick. Everyone who has any taste should be eating here regularly! We came in December visiting Alton towers and we're staying nearby looking for local halal food it did not disappoint. Will hopefully visit again in August!

Can't go wrong. Take your own alcohol, food is fantastic, staff can't do enough for you. Ordered more than we could stomach and it still cost less than we were expected.

Great meal, can't praise it enough. One of the best Indian meals we have ever had, tasty and good choice on the menu. Staff friendly and attentive. They don't have a drinks licence but they allow you to bring your own, Good to know if it is your first time. Stopped in as we travelled on the canal, best decision we made, a must for all boaters if passing through.

The Rajbari Rugeley is still as amazing as it was back in the 90s. It never disappoints, the flavours are absolutely perfect and portions are a great size. I've always used Rajbari for years now. Tonights meal was lamb rogan josh, vindaloo hot, keema pilau rice and chips. Absolutely brilliant and tastes amazing. Lots of lamb. Thank you Rajbari

Excellent food to be found in this hidden Gem of a restaurant. Once found, this restaurant will quickly become your benchmark for Indian food. Many patrons have been going here for 30 plus years, testimony indeed. Once licensed, now it's take your own booze since Covid made the Liquor license uneconomical to keep.

First time ordering from here & cannot fault - placed order before they opened as thought it would be busy tonight, est. delivery time was 6.15 - arrived before 6pm. Food was hot & really tasty. 100% recommended & we will definitely use again

We’ve tried The Shimla Palace and Viceroy, but their food is bland, tasteless and overpriced compared to Rajbari Indian Cuisine. Wonderful flavours, cooked to meet the variety of tastes and delivered on time. Thank you for a great service.

Had 3 meals for delivery hour and half later it arrived the chips were hot rice naan breads and curry were warm. The chicken was red we ordered korma and it was orange. Sorry but very disappointed with the food and it cost us £31

Probably the best curry house in Rugeley great food ,take your own drinks which is always a bonus, we had the set meal for £16 Good value, I had chicken chilli garlic rice and keama nan , Lisa had chicken tika mushroom delight with rice, both were very tasty and very nice,I do recommend it ,will always go back

Planned a family dinner after hearing good things , turned to be one disaster , over priced , cold , average portion food to start with , the fish fry was not crumbed properly ,chicken with green chili was super hard and no taste like palak murgh then a popular Bengali recipe .Another disaster was the simple basanti pulao. It was bland , over boiled and looks like chef was in hurry .The kitchen is made in near a loft of the main entrance which says all about the hygienic condition of kitchen and the quality dishing out .Fancy Bengali eateries are popping up every where but sad to say basic preparations also they can't deliver .

Been a while since I last ate here, but visited today. Very nice food and friendly staff. They don't have alcoholic drinks, but don't mind you bringing your own.

Love De Raj always have it’s by far the best Indian cuisine and take away in the Rugeley area, I’ve been going for years and having food delivered from the restaurant not only is the food awesome but the staff are always friendly and helpful.

they do a great chicken jalfrezi + we always get lots of freebies compared to places like red peppers.

My wife and I stopped by for a friend's 30th birthday on a Sunday evening. A local to this restaurant, our friend only had good things to say about the food and the staff, and I have to agree. This is your typical Bangladeshi family-ran British-Indian eatery, but the guys here do it so well. All too often I see places like this lose their motivation and spark after years of service, but the guys at Rajbari still have buckets of it - the food was wonderful, and served hot & fresh with a smile and a laugh. Nothing (within reason) is too big an ask - for example they put together a little dish for the kids which went down a treat. The meat/veg to masala/sauce ratio is pretty good, and the portion sizes are pretty bang on. At just over £10 for a filling two-course meal, I feel like I'm robbing them! The interior of the restaurant could do with a little TLC, but don't get me wrong - the place is clean and a nice place to stop for a meal out; they even have nice quality toilet paper lol. They have a cool selection of non-alcoholic drinks and desserts, which we didn't get to try on this occasion. I wish these guys continuing success with Rajbari - this cuisine is slowly dying out, and the gents aren't going down without a fight (sorry for the cheesy ending lol).

The food was absolutely delicious... I got everything I ordered but as we spent over 30 we was Entitled to a free bottle of coke and a tikka starter. We didn’t get either of these.. maybe the order got partly mixed up as we had 2 extra portions of pilu rice we didn’t order.

Paid £12 for chicken tikka main and naan bread. No poppadom. Not faulting the taste or freshness of the ingredients, but overall. A few more bit of chicken, side salad and the poppadom, as promised would have been nice.
