Daisy's Kitchen in Cannock Chase

Called in for breakfast last visit and it was lovely Had a lovely lunch this visit tried their special quiche dish and the summer iced peach and raspberry tea 😋

5* for their coffee 5* for their food, breakfast/lunch 1* For not advising us of their loyalty program. Only after 4 visits did I notice the loyalty card! 1* The online menu doesn't appear to be the same as the eat in menu??? 1* For long hair hanging in the food. The kitchen staff do not always have hair tied back, neither do the waitresses! 1* For not serving napkins. We often have to reach the counter for our own! 1* DK has been closed for a week. NO SIGN in the door. Only on the website FB page. Well, not everyone is online! Also, it gives the distinct impression that DK could have gone under! 1* It's not acceptable to see staff leaning on the kitchen wall on their mobiles.... This restaurant has amazing potential to bring business and quality food to Rugeley, however, a lot is to be learned about running a food establishment, and communication. 5*Great food 1* Waiting for food It's such a shame that the response didn't acknowledge the 5* sections. Making excuses for the shortfalls, defending instead of accepting acknowledging them and using that for positive change, is unfortunate! This restaurant has amazing potential, as I articulated. We’ve been a couple of times now and both times have been great. The staff are always helpful and friendly. We’ve eaten on both occasions and the food has always been made fresh to order and comes out pretty quickly too (with napkins may I add ;) ) we’ve had a variety of food between us and we’ve all commented on how delicious it is. My son particularly enjoyed the waffles with biscoff sauce. It’s a great little place for a last minute pop in with the friends/family for a drink and a light bite. The cakes are also amazing and I’m drawn in to having a slice every time. Would recommend 100% - will also be back to try the afternoon tea at some point too.

First time trying DKs but didn't go very well. When entering the store we asked how long on food in which the staff asked the kitchen and came back with 20mins. After 40 mins my GF had to leave for her hair appointment and asked for her food to be boxed up and left with me. After another 10mins I received my food with no sauce that I requested or napkins. I had to find and reach over the counter to get hold of some napkins. GF wasn't impressed with her £3.20 Croissant either (Image attached). Good Atmosphere and hopefully looking at the other comments this was just a bad day/experience and possibly would try the place again.

Lovely feeling as you walk in. Really pleasant and helpful staff. Food had great taste and a good amount. Presented really well with well thought accessories, such as mini milk bottles. Definitely Value for money. I would highly recommended Daisy’s Kitchen. I am dairy and gluten intolerant - they accommodated this easily! Thank you

We went in this morning for first time as we live in Somerset. We needed breakfast before going to a funeral .. Absolutely BRILLIANT! We eat breakfast out quite often and my husband said it was the best English Breakfast he's had for a long time. My avocado poached egg and bacon was EXCELLENT ( with my husband's mushrooms added!) We had 5 coffees and great food for £30 which kept us going until we got back to Somerset this evening. Many thanks x

My first visit was this afternoon for an early Mother's Day Afternoon Tea. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our table. The table was beautifully laid out with pink covering and daisy's, which was a lovely touch. The venue itself was well presented with a central work/service station. Cakes on display look fresh and well made. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The Afternoon Tea started with a shot glass of warm soup, which was lovely. The main event was displayed well and tasted delicious, plus a glass of bucks fizz, it was perfect. Thank you Daisy's Kitchen, I really enjoyed my visit. I will definitely return and would highly recommend this establishment.

I simply went in for a coffee and a toasted sandwich, and both were great. It was only a quick stop. The staff were very friendly, the food was fantastic and the service was quick. A great independent cafe and one with a well deserved reputation.

We have been disappointed a few times because we have failed to book. The food and service is always spot on. If cafes received Michelan stars, Daisy's would have three.

We came for breakfast twice in one week. Both times we visited it was delicious, very friendly staff, lovely smooth coffee and nice hot tasty food. We had the breakfast muffins, daisy's breakfast, and pancake stack. Good value and good portions as well. Both times we didn't book (friday and sunday) and had no issues in getting a table. Would recommend if you’re visiting Cannock chase!

A nice Cafe in the center of rugely, food was amazing. The staff were very nice and pleasant/friendly. A really nice atmosphere, I stumbled on this cafe whilst visiting to Walk in cannock chase, Highly impressed and would highly recommend a visit if in the area.

Just had a drink here , found staff to be friendly a nice cup of coffee.

What a lovely café/bar in Rugeley Town centre. Super friendly and helpful staff. Quality reasonably priced food and drink. All in comfortable surroundings. Support the independent establishment over the the chain locations and do the community a favour. Have visited Daisy's many times now for breakfast and lunch, it is consistently excellent. Maybe I will try it in the evening one day.

We got there 5 mins early for our grinch afternoon tea,and there were other tables set up , but we were directed to one that wasn’t ready. No tablecloth or anything on except dirty dishes from previous people. My grandson was very disappointed . The vegetarian option was non descript as I couldn’t tell what was on it except for the cucumber. Nice idea in theory for a grinch theme tea but the execution was severely lacking from the staff.

We visited a few weeks ago whilst in the area for work, it was fantastic! The food was lovely & really reasonably priced! Lovely atmosphere for us to sit and work with a coffee! We will defiantly return when we are next in the area :)

Been to Daisy's a few times and always had brilliant service, but they provided our wedding cake and some tray bakes for us at the weekend and it was brilliant- had so may compliments on the cake since. Thank you so so much xx

Went for a festive afternoon tea as part of a group of 15, it was fabulous! The café was stylish and busy, the food was amazing and the staff extremely attentive. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Food and drink were that hot I burnt my tongue being a greedy sod and getting stuck right in 😂 always quality food in here and the staff are so polite!! The malteser hot chocolate was amazing and also loved the coasters under the mug that collect any little hot chocolate or cream dribbles - great idea! Thank you Zoe always a pleasure! Place was busy which is lovely to see for a Sunday and a great atmosphere. P.s that’s some bloody good bacon!

Popped in on a whim with my sister and her dog. We were delighted that we were able to eat in with him there, instead of being forced into the cold. The staff were attentive, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was a bit of a vibe.

I went in with my daughter for lunch. The staff were friendly and the service was with a smile. Food was fab and the coffee even better. Would highly recommend to all but I would book next time as it gets busy very quickly. Thanks DK

I've been to Daisy's Kitchen twice now for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and drink were first rate and very reasonable. I will be going again.

Went with my daughter for lunch , very nice place staff very friendly and food was very tasty, excellent value for money .

Waited to be spoken to at front desk but lady avoided eye contact. Another lady saw us after couple mins & we were seated. Ordered a Daisy's breakfast & 4 item breakfast. Didn't take long to arrive, piping hot & looking tasty! It was delicious.

First time visiting, lovely place that is decorated well. The staff could’ve been more attentive to us. We were unsure how to order, we weren’t given menus when arriving and had to get these off another table. The pancakes were cold and coffees seemed to be rushed even though it didn’t seem overly busy at this time. This place has a lot of potential however I was disappointed after our first visit.

Have been meaning to pop in for ages and glad we made the time today before our shopping trip. Food was beautifully home-made, fresh and tasty. Coffee was lovely and good to see a choice of milk alternatives too rather than just soya. My daughter said her milkshake was delicious too. Venue/ Decor has a really great feel and will definitely be back to sample the evening atmosphere and drinks soon. Considering the current economic climate, the prices were really reasonable, I would recommend for sure.

First time going to daisy's kitchen and I found it really nice x I like wear they are situated in the middle of the town x I had a breakfast which was lovely they have two options to go with your breakfast poached eggs or scrambled which makes a change from fried x I love the fact that you have a lot of different choices which a lot of cafés don't offer x I found the staff very friendly and they had a chat to you x all in all if ever you come to rugeley pop in x highly recommend it x as personally I'd go again x

Myself husband and sister in law popped in for tea coffee and pure orange juice and toast for 3 and we enjoyed it .place was lovely inside very well fort out well done.🙂👍

Had a really lovely time at Daisy's Kitchen. Fab cup of tea and an amazing gluten free Nutella brownie too. Will definitely be back for more.

Nice little place to eat in and and have have a drink . Had the eggs benedict and it was lovely. Would recommend it with the salmon . My only opinion is they add a bit more banana to the milkshake as it was a bit bland for my liking but apart from that ,like I said its lovely

Went for first time on Monday. I had a piece of cake , which was delicious 😋. And a black coffee which I can highly recommend. Really lovely place.

Why the 3*....it's no reflection at all on the great staff, food , decor etc.....all fantastic BUT....I'm sat here looking at multiple empty tables with reserved on them and seeing staff turning away at least 12 customers so far. I think this place will be so popular it can have a first come first served system. First impressions count and it's very easy to lose good future custom.....I will be back when it settles down..... while writing this another 6 customers turned away when seeing table reserved signs

Never got served never even acknowledge we were there so walked out went to Savannah tea rooms had lovely breakfast and pot of tea

Lovely cocktails and ambiance - gorgeous!

Visited the newly refurbed ‘Daisy’s’ and it did not disappoint. It brings style, chilled vibes & some well needed character to Rugeley. I popped in for a coffee and some brunch (both were instagram post worthy by the way), the latte with vanilla was perfect & the avocado with poached eggs on toast was delicious. Not to mention great value for money & the Staff were extremely professional and polite. I will be visiting again!

food was explicit. the chefs were second to none. excellent manner of language portrayed by said staff. definitely recommend daisys kitchen. cheeky scran

Beautiful! Went for a baby shower in the afternoon, and honestly, it was such a lovely atmosphere and the food was beautiful!

Went for Harry Potter themed afternoon tea. The café was clean, staff were friendly and the food was really nice. Could see other people were eating items from the menu which looked lovely and well presented. Lovely little local café.

I was lucky enough to win a Harry Potter afternoon tea and to say I was blown away is an understatement. The attention to detail was incredible and the food was fantastic .... and there was soooo much of it we had to take some away!!! This place is a hidden gem and I cannot wait to return!

Found this place by accident. Had an excellent lunch with a coffee...lovely. Pretty full after, bought a piece of cake to take home and thoroughly enjoyed it...love a homemade cake.

We have had a few takeaway afternoon teas from here before of which all have been fantastic. We had a long overdue catch-up with some friends here today - so 4 adults and 3 excited 4-6 year old girls. The service was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. I didn’t get chance to take a photo of the children’s afternoon tea but they loved it - sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, chocolate cakes and candy floss puddings with unlimited milkshakes. I managed to get a photo of the adult one which had unlimited hot drinks and sandwiches as well, but what was provided was more than enough for all of us! I’d recommend Daisy’s kitchen to anyone who wants a fantastic afternoon tea and can’t wait to catch up with more friends so we have an excuse to go again! Thanks to everyone who was in today and apologies again for knocking over the mint custard!!

Today at short notice they provided a lovely afternoon tea plus a vegan afternoon tea. The food was excellent, lots of choice and the service was excellent. I will certainly be back.

Superb service, friendly welcome! We were very well looked after. Two hours of bottomless prosecco or cocktails plus a fabulous assortment of snacks and deserts to munch on. Would 100% recommended 😁

The newest and definitely the best bar in town. The decor is fresh and Al Fresco, the music on point, the staff over friendly and keep you topped up, with great prices. This will definitely be our bar of choice for funky cocktails and shots. Put this bar on your radar when in town.

Big portions of cake and food, drinks are always posh. Love that we can buy chocs or other gifts at the till to take home. Looking forward to buying breads in the future!

Today we tried the new @daisys_kitchen_ for a Birthday treat for the hubby, it was fabulous. Modern, welcoming, friendly staff and amazing cake options as well as tasty coffee and cute pots of tea. Being gluten and dairy free wasn't an issue either and I thoroughly enjoyed my treats. Highly recommend this new bistro, you should definitely give them a try - their afternoon teas look amazing. Thanks so much, we'll be back xx
