Rude when answering the phone if they are busy or not there is no excuse to put the phone down on you. Also will only take cash on deliveries what’s that about when your a loyal customer, and discount if you pay by cash defo a tax thing going on there. Also when you ask for king prawns in your curry you just get big prawns not king prawns. Bet this review doesn’t appear in their reviews

While Eastern Memories might not boast a liquor license, it certainly poured out an intoxicating experience in the form of their incredible food and exceptional service. We had a spiced up Tarka Dhall and Aloo gobi (my favourite) and number of other dishes. All were an exceptional culinary wonderland, where the aromas danced in the air and vibrant spices painted a delectable picture on our plates. Eastern Memories embarks on a delicious adventure with unique dishes that burst with regional authenticity. Each bite is a testament to the chef's mastery, where layers of flavor unfold, tantalising our taste buds with perfect balance. And the staff as well as expertly guides us through the menu and tailoring recommendations to our preferences, took genuine care in looking after us, giving an experience that is nothing short of delightful. But the thing that really blew us away was the value! At Eastern Memories the prices are more than reasonable, making it a guaranteed return destination for me I separately even if I don't have frients to go with. And a off-licence is just two minutes walk away (but closes at 8).

I love Indian food and Eastern memories in Bridgtown is undoubtably the best in the area, in fact the best I have ever eaten at. The food is incredible, the staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. If you want to tweak your dish, just ask and they will adjust to your liking. You need to take your own alcohol if that’s what you want to drink, such as my favourite, a nice Malbec :) I honestly cannot recommend them enough, as soon as you step through the door they make you feel special and immediately at home, they are a so welcoming to new or old guests. Have visited this restaurant many times and has always been excellent however tonight was not up to usual standards, starters were tasteless and curry bland. Will give it another go at some point but was not a good curry on this occasion.

I wanted to take the time to leave a review as I barely do. What a wonderful curry house. The staff are so polite and friendly and the food is fresh with the best ingredients. Not the place we usually order from but ordered takeaway to try something new. I'm quite disappointed. Chicken Makhani is tasteless, the rice is oily. Lamb tikka bagar e - Dansak is lacking some flavour. Onion salad that was ordered together with papodams seemed like it's just scraps or veggies. Would definitely not order from here again. Paid more than £30 just to go hungry as I just can't eat this...

Had news years eve takeaway .. 2 pieces of chicken in the biryani the rest was bulked out with huge potatoes that were raw. The chips were also uncooked and the food overall was poor for the price. Don't be taking too many orders on NYE if you can't keep to a standard of acceptable food.

Been a few months since our last visit which makes it all the more special. Warmest welcome fantastic value food. 5*

Disappointed in the food this time - missing something. Friendly waiter and good service from him but a little slow from the kitchen for my liking. Food was definately not as good as previous times. New chef???

We visited for the first time this evening, we were made very welcome when we arrived, the door was held open for us. We ordered from the Sunday special menu, the Onion Bhajis were lovely, the Chicken Shashlik was amazing, the best I have ever tried, and the lamb tikka chilli garlic was lovely too. The Peshwari naan was also amazing, totally different to any I have tried before. We were very happy with our food, we have booked for Christmas Lunch also and can't wait. The staff were all pleasant and attentive, H was a very good host. Would highly recommend and we will be returning before Christmas. I was very impressed by the speed in which H replied to my email enquiry and he has excellent customer service. Well done guys!

As always a most delicious dinner, we only have a main course each and sides as old age has diminished our appetites, we have been diners at Eastern Memories for over 20 years and can honestly say the food has never once disappointed. Thank to H and the amazing team at Eastern Memories.

Ordered for delivery, the delivery never came and the driver kept lying about where he was and kept cutting the phone off to us when we was trying to help him. After trying to get in contact with him for half hour we ended up having to cancel because he could not find us. We have never had a problem before with anyone.

2nd time here. Food is absolutely superb and so reasonable. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. BYOB wine glasses and wine cooler supplied. Dant praise this restaurant enough 🙌

Lovely, freshly prepared tasty food every time we visit. The staff are friendly, courteous, help my disabled mum in and out of the restaurant . Atmosphere is amazing to sit and eat your food. Introduced other family members and friends to the restaurant, who are now visiting as frequently as myself and my partner . Highly, highly recommend .

Just had the one take away here so far. Seems decent. Naga really is very hot though. Update 2023… Blimey it's been a while since this first review. Used to eat in and have takeaways from here regularly. Don't have take away curries much at the moment, so first visit for some time. However still the same staff and same friendliness. More importantly, still the best curry in Cannock. Simples.

This restaurant is easily the best in Cannock, visited many times and the food is always consistent and enjoyable. Been to many in the area and this one is always my first choice.

Absolutely incredible food, I had a leaflet come through the door today and was intrigued as there appeared to be a large selection of vegetarian foods, that was the best decision I have ever made. I had been so disappointed at the Indians in Cannock, until now. I had the vegetable dansak and my partner had a rogan josh and it had to be the most delicious curry I have ever tasted, and I come from Birmingham, the flavours were exquisite and full to the brim of vegetables, perfect Unami of sweet, sour and spicy, I honestly can't wait to try more. Also the freebies were so generous, I have never seen so much mint yogurt, onion bajis and poppadum's in my life. And surprisingly considering the portions and quality, the price was really good too! I will definitely come back again, thank you again for such an amazing meal and extras. Top marks to the chef :)

First time here on a recommendation. Couldn't fault the food at all. Poppadom, stater, main and side for less than £15. Portions were fine and we were both stuffed at the end. Service was very good. Bring your own booze. Just a heads up that the special offer is cash only but I'm not sure if the restaurant is totally cash only.

Had a takeaway this evening, very nice food, prompt delivery. Disappointing though, no syrup (as advertised) on my peshwari nan. That's the reason I ordered the peshwari (boo hoo) Thank you for your reply but the take away menu does advertise it with syrup. And when we rang up with the order, do you not think this question should have been asked? It was dreadfully disappointing to have a dry nan bread I must admit, especially when you advertise it with syrup!

Had a takeaway meal here 3 weeks ago it was amazing ,,had one this week was horrible 😔

My bengal jalfrezi was beautiful and had no problem and neither did I have a problem with the selected starter or popadoms, however whenever when my partners meal arrived it looked like slop on a plate and when asked by a waiter after 1 spoon of it was ok and we said yes that was deemed gospel. When I called the waiter over shortly after and sent 3/4 of a plate back to the kitchen the waiter returned with a menu stating the chef says it’s how it should taste. When I challenged the bill the owner became really aggressive and tried to get staff to lock the door to prevent us leaving the establishment. We were offered an alternative meal upon paying the bill but as we were leaving did not want this so just asked for the food sent back to be removed from the bill. Will not eat in this restaurant again and would advise others to do avoid too.

The service was great. I felt welcome all the time and could eat a delicious 4 course menu for a good price (£13.95). Be aware, they take cash only.

The lads are always great, helpful and polite. I always recommend Eastern Memories to friends and they always say after the 1st meal they won't go anywhere else. Let the food do the talking.

1st time we've visited, had a great evening with family, really lovely food.

We had the Ceylon and a vegetable Bhuna, with lemon and chilli rice, garlic naan and chips. Honestly I’ve never been happier. Delicious. Delivered hot and on time. Absolutely stunning and the single best delivered meal we’ve ever had. Thank you so much. We dine in too which is also exceptional. If you want cooking that is delicious, of the highest standard and obviously made by people who really care, this is your place. Wow.

Gotta say… this place is a hidden gem. Take your own alcohol. Spotless inside, amazing staff, generous portions, beautiful food, fantastic prices.. Temperature of the food served is brilliant. Visited last night at short notice, for the first time. We had to get their early, but that was fine for me. The Staff were brilliant, the food was good, just got to try all the other items on the menu now.

Me and my partner have been coming to Eastern Memories for 2 years now and every meal/experience has been brilliant. Service with a smile, lovely people and the quality of the food never lets us down. Tastiest and most consistent curry in the area and be sure to try the Banana Fritter for pudding!

Throughtout the lockdowns I have been having meals from Eastern memories. The food is always fresh, hot and incredibly tasty and the staff members are always happy and polite. Looking forward to booking a table and dining in now restrictions are lifting!

Food was excellent as always tonight! Ready when I went to collect, and piping hot! I definitely recommend the lamb tikka jaipuri! In terms of covid safety, large area for you to collect food, plenty of hand sanitiser and space for you to wait. It is well organised! Staff were super!

Looking for a takeaway and went with local reviews.... I wasn’t disappointed. Food ready at time stated on phone call, a very generous starter portion of chicken chat full of flavour supplemented beautifully with a Bengal Jalfrezi. Would really like to get to experience the restaurant if back under more normal circumstances next time.

I am not sure what the previous review is talking about!! Eastern Memories food, service and quality are all outstanding. My family and I have been coming here for years and believe it to be the best curry house in Staffordshire (by far!!). H and the team are kind, accommodating and lovely. We have eaten in and had takeaways hundreds of times and never had any issues. This is my first thought when I fancy a curry, can’t wait to be able to go and eat in again. Not to be missed!!

I arrived before my given time slot and had to wait while the order was finished - fab, fresher than fresh.I took it directly home which is an 8 minute drive and served immediately. It was at best tepid warm, soggy and yuk. At least the bin was full.I've messaged the restaurant - as I feel that is only fair before writing a review. Alas that was over 24 hours ago and no one has returned my communication. If this was the only takeaway I could order from - I would have beans on toast at home.

The food is amazing and the staff are equally as good,especially H ,he always makes sure that we are happy with our dishes and that they have been made to perfection (which they are every time without fail!).I highly recommend the lamb tikka naga served in a cast iron korai dish to get the full flavour, but be warned its not for the faint hearted and well worth a try if your into your spicy numbers its the best we've tried to date and we've tried a fair few to say the least!The lamb is always really tender and free of Grissel or fat if your normally put off ordering lamb due to this.All in all a 10/10 dining experience every time we visit Cheers lads!

Came to this gem of a restaurant for the first time tonight on recommendation from a friend.This will now be a regular occurrence.Talk about value for money, absolute top notch,Staff could not be more attentive,Everyone was polite and friendly and made us feel very welcome and like returning friends.The food was faultless,Starters we had stuffed mushrooms which were very tasty,But the onion Bhajis OMG WERE TO DIE FOR,The absolute best I have tried in a very long time it at all,We had the special menu which was extremely good value and a vast choice too.Could not fault our visit today if I tried,Give these guys a go because you won’t regret it,We will be back many many times,Thank you Eastern Memories for a great first impression and outstanding service and food,See you again very soon

Eastern memories never disappoints. I have collected on several occasions and the food has always been ready earlier than stated. They are hospitable when waiting for your order. One evening I arrived after a busy shift at the hospital and they gave me a free bottle of coke. I had a delivery for the first time, and I’m always apprehensive about deliveries incase the order is wrong, cold, late or they can’t find my address. This was not the case, the food was piping hot and very tasty. This is by far the best Indian in cannock. Never ever had a disappointing meal from here. Thank you!

The best Indian in the area, can’t fault. Have been going for the past 12 years and still love it. Friendly staff and lovely restaurant! Highly recommend! In the picture is a peshwari naan, garlic and cheese naan, pilau rice, Bengal jalfrezi and lamb naga.

Lost count of the amount of times we’ve either booked a table or ordered take away! Excellent food everytime! The Bengal Jalfrezi is a favourite of ours. Friendly staff and excellent hygiene in place especially during these unprecedented times (covid19). Will be back again soon
