Raja Indian in Test Valley

We ordered chicken chat puree and Tarka Dall for starters. Main course was Tandoori Chicken, Vegetable Korai with Mushroom Rice, Bindee Bahji and Peshwari Naan. They also gave us complimentary poppadoms and Baileys to finish. Can't complain at the xma'sday special price of £15 per person. Good service too.

This is a newly opened restaurant. It is attached to the Ox pub. It used to be an Italian place. It is nicely done up inside and as it is a new place it was very quiet. We ordered Chicken Mugh which was a combination of chicken and minced lamb which was very tasty and chicken jalfrezi which was also equally as good. The poppadums and the sauces along with the nan bread were good quality. Amin was polite and courteous and Mohammed was easy to talk to. I can see this place getting busier over the next few weeks.

We've had a couple of takeaways since the Raja opened, and the meals were fabulous. Tonight we popped along and ate in the restaurant . Again the food was excellent and Mohammed and his team were lovely, and providing great friendly service. We will be back!

Had heard good things and we certainly weren’t disappointed. The food was really delicious and the staff very helpful. We will definitely be back.

We have had three takeaways delivered now and all have been excellent and delivered on time. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. The staff were very friendly and made conversation. I tried a curry that I haven't had before after asking the waiter for advice, it was outstanding. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends and clients and will definitely return. We had a starter and main, all of which tasted fresh and full of flavour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and will be returning soon. Both the food and the service were excellent. This is now our favourite Indian restaurant in the area. I recommend ordering the Goan Chicken… 👌🏼

Collected a take away on a Saturday night - short wait as busy but food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back and will try a sit down meal too.

This the second time I have eaten here and it did not disappoint the food is very well cooked and presented. Even though there was a large party eating the service was still very good The host Mohammad was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The Raja restaurant will definitely be on my regular visit list

First visit to this new Indian and we were not disappointed, warm welcome from Mohmad along with great service. Food was of a good quality and generous portions, would recommend will return soon

Tried out the New Raja Indian which has just replaced Bella Vita (which we understand has moved to Romsey). We tried the Raja Special Platter for a starter between four which had a little of everything. Had the Chicken Sally, Lamb Rogon Josh and Korai plus Chicken Tikka Massala. All were excellent with the Massala being different from what expected. The Aloo Gobi and Onion Baja were again very good but the Sag Paneer wonderful. Various Rice and Nans were again all very good. We will come again
