Disappointing. The food was bland ( saag bhaji especially dreary) . The waiter just ignored us.

Stay away!!! Very poor food quality. worst Indian food we had. We ordered take-away and the person who served us realised that we were not locals as we’re just visiting, hence served us poor food. Definitely waste of money. Never again.

Great restaurant, food first class and staff friendly and welcoming. First visit and will not be the last. Highly recommended and worth travelling from Gloucester for.

Dining in a large group the service is always tricky, but they coped. There are some interesting and quite different choices on the menu like ginger naan and the fish dish MR. Light Special, which doesn't really tell you its a salmon and prawn dish, but was very pleasant. Just back from another visit, and again they handled a large party very well.

Visited here with family on Saturday night. It was packed which is always a good sign! Excellent food, staff were lovely and very attentive. Had a variety of different dishes and everyone in the group very happy with the food, will return!

Disappointing! Had a jalfrezi and a chicken chaat, they were both tasteless and neither had onions or peppers. Both were base sauce with a bit of meat thrown in! The restaurant was very busy and obviously couldn't cope.

We called in as a group of four with a baby who needed a highchair. The staff were very lovely and helpful, making sure we were happy where we were seated and were attentive to the baby. The food was lovely and very plentiful. Would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Raj Shahi, cosy little restaurant, great service and amazing choice of authentic Indian dishes.

Attracted by the good reviews and vegan menu, but hugely disappointed. We took two different vegan mains, both involved a bunch of mixed veg thrown into two different sauces, one which resembled blended tomatoes the other like a very sweet dahl. Neither had much in the way of spicing or flavour. I’d go as far as saying that this was the worst Indian food I’ve ever had!

Visited here while on a weekend break in Tewkesbury and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice and friendly staff and clean restaurant. Food was superb and prices reasonable

We ate here on the last evening of a weeks holiday in Tewkesbury. The restaurant is attractive and cosy and we were greeted warmly by the staff who were friendly throughout. The menu is extensive and there are some unusual and interesting dishes, including plenty of vegetarian choices. We both had starter and main course dishes we'd not had anywhere else and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. All the food was beautifully cooked, attractively served and piping hot. Plenty of it too! If we lived locally we'd be regulars at Rajshahi .

Average food and overcharged for drinks. Please check your bill carefully, especially the drinks. The bill was adjusted when we queried it, but it was still not correct. Service was also poor, attempts to order a second drink were ignored.

Always enjoy eating here. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. Their staff always friendly and helpful. It opens at 5, which is brilliant for a pre show near before going to The Roses Theatre.

Best Indian we've eaten in a while. Staff are very attentive. Mango chutney & tamarind sauce was absolutely delicious. We both had lamb dishes green mossala & dhaba de gosht with garlic rice & peshwari naan. Couldnt eat it all, staff happily boxed up & the next day it was even more delicious. We were so glad we chose this indian, as there were a few too choose from. We chose this one as we were in a heatwave & their restaurant was cool! Pint of cobra each & we were in food heaven.

Had take away! Best Butter chicken I’ve ever had! Moist chicken, excellent tasty sauce with a lovely cream swirled on top. The rice was fluffy and tasty. Although it is plain, it is lightly seasoned with cloves.

For some reason Tewkesbury seems to have an abundance of Indian restaurants, and I basically chose this one out of pot luck. Inside it was obviously an old pub but they've done a good job of keeping the original bar in. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the chicken tikka jalfrezi was very tasty, excellent onion rice and a fine tandoori roti.

Traveled up from Surrey to cycle the hills, the King Prawn Jafrezi was one the best I have eaten. Thoroughly enjoyed and with a bit good banter with the staff.

Came to Tewkesbury for work and decided to visit here as we were told it was the best Indian in town. The service was very efficient and with a smile, the food was fantastic as well!

We went on a quiet night but were still given our request of a quiet table. Our young waiter was friendly and helpful and attentive without being too much so. The food was fresh and brought out hot and right when we were ready. Great food and restaurant as always. They also have a very tasty small vegan selection.

Went for the first time as a sit-in as I've had takeaways from here before on thec27/12/2022. The restaurant was full. Excellent food and service. I rated the restaurant atmosphere a 4* only because the interior looked a bit dated and the swing door to the bar was irritating, bang, bang, bang. Brilliant food, I particularly recommend ordering from the "Homestyle menu" - definitely something different. In fact there's a lot really interesting dishes on the menu which sets this restaurant apart from other Indian restaurants. Highly recommended.

Lamb was too tough to chew but sauces good

We stayed in Tewkesbury over a weekend and had booked a table for four at the Rajshahi on the basis that they were the only Asian restaurant in the town not to have received a bad review during the preceding two years. Our choice turned out to be a good one and we could thoroughly recommend the Rajshahi to anyone wanting to eat well-prepared Asian food. The restaurant interior is traditional and perhaps a little tired, but look beyond that and the menu is extensive and imaginative. Prices are what you'd expect to pay and the levels of service and the friendliness of the staff could not be criticised. Two of our party ordered the Nawaj Special Chicken and expressed themselves very happy with the quality of the food. The portion sizes were good and the presentation of the food was first-rate. All in all, a very good dining experience.

This is not an authentic curry, very greasy, tomatoe purée based, no where near what a proper Bangladeshi/Pakistani or Indian cuisine is like, please don’t insult our intelligence, I bet you wouldn’t eat this in your own homes, so why serve it to your customers?? This is one of the worst meals we’ve ever eaten. Sorry but this is constructive criticism and hope for your own good.

Delivered in great time and was piping hot - yeah that's a celebration in itself these days! So very glad we gave a tip!! If staying in the area again we would visit the Restaurant most definitely!

Went to this restaurant on Saturday. Service was fantastic and they couldnt do enough for you. I had forgotten my glasses and they even had some their that I could read the menu with. Great food and nothing was too much trouble. Will visit again and I recommend anyone to try this place when in the area. Well done. Ade and Julie.

Terrible experience. Food arrived after an hour not only cold and stale tasting, the driver charged me £5 more than it was meant to be. I told him I didn’t have it and he just stood there constantly calling me ‘mate’ (I’m a young woman?) and then when I asked why it was more expensive he said the restaurant told him to charge that. I called the restaurant after to complain about food and this extra charge they said it shouldn’t of been £5 more so the driver had pocketed my money and when I asked them to bring me it back they said they will call me back…. 45 mins ago. Never again! Just avoid if you can, especially for delivery!

Reasonably priced, clean, tasty food and friendly, efficient service. Recommended as good value for money. The large numbers of customers at 6.30 on a Monday suggest that this is a justifiably popular restaurant.

Wife and I ate here on Saturday evening whilst staying in the area. The staff were polite and attentive The food plentiful and tasty. We both chose from the Chef Specials and tried curries we had never heard of. We weren't disappointed Price was very reasonable too. Would definitely recommend

First time here, food lovely highly recommend.

Service was very good but the food, not so much. Dansak was average at best, just like an ordinary curry. Biryani was so spicy I couldn’t eat it. In my experience a Biryani comes with a medium veg curry but this one was just sauce and extremely hot, so not to my liking. Poppadoms & pickles were good so so filled up on that.

I had a very good pleasant experience in Rajshahi. The food was delicious and the customer service was splendid. Nothing I can point out. All good!

Good Indian food, but on the more spicier side of things. The restaurant itself is very compact, dated and can be over crowded. But still worth a visit and the food is good.
