Gran comida, gran servicio y gran ambiente.

Food was of top quality and tasteful. There were good varieties of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian items. Quantity of food was just right and was very cost effective.

Really enjoyed a great meal here with the family. The starters were amazing and the curries delicious. Everything cooked from scratch in house by the family. We met the daughters and the mum. We are so pleased we have found this restaurant and will now be one of our regular places to eat out. The restaurant is simple and basic but all the better for it. It’s great value and you can take you own alcohol.

If you want your food mass produced at a main hub. If you want most of your curries tasting similar. If you want to pay through the nose for a few morsels of meat in a wash of curry sauce. If you want to pay exorbitant prices for Indian beer that’s brewed locally. If you’re in a rush DON’T go to Raj’s restaurant. A small family run eatery which produces excellent food made to order and plentiful. It’s only a small menu but what do you expect when the food isn’t made mass produced in a central hub. Nothing too much for these guys and take your own alcoholic drinks as it’s not licensed but they do serve cans of pop. Also plenty of parking at the front. Will I be back??? Just try and stop me. Keep up the good work guys and gals.

while in Leeds visiting friends and long lost relatives we were taken here by my friend, it's basically a take away with a few tables, the food is cooked fresh and you get large portions and it's all nice, prices are very reasonable and when back in Leeds i will go back there

Leeds's Punjabi community is flocking to this excellent takeaway for an authentic taste of the food from 'back home'. It's a humble place, perhaps better suited for a carry-out rather than the restaurant experience, but my goodness, the flavours! Their saag (spinach) comes with two complimentary makki ki rotis (delicious yellow maize breads) -- to die for. And their aloo bainghan (aubergines with potato) is equally spectacular, with a smoky taste and not too oily. I'm not a meat-eater, but others in my party said the mince samosas, chicken curry, and kebabs were equally nice. And they often throw in extras like chapatis, salads and chutney, all for an embarrassingly low price, with extremely friendly service. I've spent over 18 months in the Indian subcontinent, and am so happy to have found such a perfect dhaba in Leeds.

Small and compact but great tasting food . Owner made us feel very welcome . Although you do wait a little for your food , this just means it’s being freshly prepared . Who can argue with that . Tastes great , tried a few new dishes and wasn’t disappointed. The samosa with chick peas is fab and very reasonably priced . Will definitely return .

The unusually-named Rasoi Stories is located in what was once Chapeltown police station, on Harrogate Rd at Chapel Allerton. It has been beautifully refurbished, but still retains the original external character. The menu is different, interesting, and worth taking your time over. Prices are reasonable. The service is very pleasant, and we enjoyed our food. However, the restaurant was very cold, and the diners were sat shivering in their coats.

Copy of email sent to the restaurant prior to leaving this review - not even an acknowledgement! I feel the need to write and provide my comments on the way I was welcomed this evening. I have in the past been a big advocate of Masala Hut and eaten there many times. I have in the past had take away food and enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately the experience received this evening was appalling. I called ahead and asked for a table for one at 7:30. The person on the other end didn’t seem impressed nor filled me with confidence it was even possible, he didn’t take a name and the call abruptly ended. If the one customer wasn’t wanted he should have said. When attending I was shown to an unmade table in the corner. No problem - but the table wasn’t set and instead the server got knives and forks and threw them On the table, didn’t place them and seemed to find my presence inconvenient. The table was filthy with remnants of food encrusted on it. Not welcoming at all. I would have quite happily spent time and money this evening but the thought turned my stomach to a degree that I had to leave. I felt as though my presence was a huge disappointment. Standards have dropped. And it pains me to say it will be a long time before I am back. I was a table of one and appreciate this lessens the income but the waiters need to work on their customer service. I very rarely leave Google reviews on anything but I feel really disgusted and contemplating doing so - I will however resist until tomorrow to ensure it’s balanced. I write this whilst having dinner in La Cantina where I was welcomed and treated as a customer should.
