Visité un lunes por la tarde fría y húmeda en febrero, por lo que tal vez sea comprensible que estuviera desierto. La comida era buena, aunque no excepcional, pero no me impresionó el personal vestido de manera informal, que obviamente estaba aburrido. Entonces clasificaciones. . . . primeras impresiones bien, ambiente cero (lunes húmedo recordar), comida bien, el servicio podría ser mejor. ¿Iré de nuevo? podría darle otra oportunidad.

Ordered a takeaway for one from Rajboy as one guest amongst a group we had over from dinner couldnt/wouldn’t eat home made Keema lamb. The starter consisted of 3 small bite sizes pieces of chicken and the main was plain wrong. I rang and complained, they explained the dish was not what would be normally ordered but as I pointed out to them,if they can’t make a speciality dish properly then don’t have it on the menu - stick to what you know and might be good at! No offer of a refund or alternative dish not that I asked for it.

I typically eat at Raj Boy about once or twice a month: why? Because it serves consistently excellent Asian food at great value for money prices. The meat Thali is superb for one person. Nice friendly staff. It’s not posh (actually it’s a bit scruffy), but the tables are always beautifully clean with nice crisp white linen. The Indian beer is good. And the food is excellent. Eat here. You will never be disappointed.

Indian restaurant really close to c2c Train Station and five minutes away from Canary Wharf via DLR. We went there on a Saturday night for dinner. Me and my associate had Tandoori Chicken as a starter, I had Chicken Dansak and Pilau Rice for main course with a large soft drink, my associate had Prawn Briyani and a Lemonade drink and we had Peshwari Nan Bread together. The food took a bit long to served maybe the fact it was a Saturday evening and they were receiving alot of orders for takeaway. I liked the food and so did the person I came with. The price was good and generally the food was nice.

Ordered the Lamb Tikka main course. With boiled rice. The food was fresh and tasty however the portions were small. The silver platter the had the boiled rice on was barely 1 layer thick and the Lamb was about 7 pieces. With a bottle of water came to £12.10, not expensive but not the best value either. Again food was tasty though and I enjoyed what I had.

I've been to a lot of Indian restaurants in london and although the food was good the service wasn't and fortunately here both were superb. I will definitely be visiting here again and recommend asking for Nime to be your waiter if you visit. I met some of my friends there about 10:30, ordered roasted popadums, several nan breads and curries, my wife saw a waiter handling a cold chapatti which was tested for temperature by another waiter before going back to the kitchens to be microwaved. The toilets in the place are disgusting. Suffice to say , 4 of our party have had diarrhoea , I personally have been on the toilet most of the day, punctuated with episodes of vomiting.Message for the restaurant:-Personal hygiene is not optional.

Most Indian restaurants in London city are owned and run by Bangladeshi migrants. While some are good, some would not give you such a nice experience, especially if you compare the taste to authentic Indian standards. Raj Boy is sort of an exception in this. I had opportunities to eat and take away from Raj Boy on number of occasions during my recent visit to London and I found their food as well as services very good. The hosts at Raj Boy ensure that they recommend you right dishes basis your preference, especially if you are from Indian sub-continent. They recommended me a number of dishes basis my preferences and they all turned out to be very close to the authentic Indian taste. It is easy on wallet too compared to many other Indian options in the city. Overall, a happy experience and I will be back again soon during my next visit. Cheers!

I've eaten at Raj Boy many times - the food is decent and the prices are very reasonable. This visit, however, was probably my last. This was the third out of four recent visits where the service has been unnecessarily slow. The most recent time was on a relaxed Thursday evening with three others - we were certainly in no rush. The restaurant was at about 20 per cent capacity and the waiters seemed keen to get our orders in quickly. Fast forward 60 minutes, we had not received our food, and only upon querying with one of the waiters were we given a kind of back-handed apology: "we're understaffed in the kitchen today". Given my prior experiences, I was inclined to believe it was not just 'today'.When the food arrived, it was tasty and fulfilling as per usual - we all agreed it somewhat made up for the wait. But this was the final straw.Maybe I have just been unlucky. Perhaps the only three times Raj Boy has genuinely been understaffed happen to have fallen on a number of my recent visits. This is not the main reason why I won't be returning. My main gripe is that each time this has happened, the staff (who generally seem to be nice people) did not seem to be aware of the wait (the longest was 2 hours), and apologies were not forthcoming upon learning of our discontent.Nevertheless, for those who are in the area and have a few hours to kill, I would recommend either of the thalis (mixed dishes).

Considering the few eateries around the limehouse hotel, this is worth a visit I you are staying a few days and are keen for 'desi' indian khana (food). Service is amazingly slow. But the restaurant appears to thrive on home deliveries. Would not classify food as excellent- but definitely passable. This also depends on how long you have been away from India- and thereby your desperation. Overall not a bad place.

Visiting my friend in this part of London, thought we would go out for a curry for a change. This restaurant without a doubt, is a breath of fresh air from the likes of Brick Lane or the myriad of cheap and cheerful curry and fried chicken shops that virtually saturate the East End.The menu in this restaurant is a very extensive selection of popular dishes and the chef's personal specialities.Skipped starters tonight although we shared some onion bhajis to go with the main course, of which I chose the Lamb Hariali, one of the chef selections which described as fairly hot with garlic, pepper, ginger, coriander and chillis. Very tangy, meaty and juicy, and very different. My friend's Mumbai Chicken was hot, sweet and sour with a good hint of citrus, so both full on flavoured and refreshing at the same time without being over poweringly hot. Onion Bhajis are good and a bargain at £2 for three freshly prepared. Onion kulcha naan bread was a tad on the dry side, all it needs is a little bit of spray or finished with a small dot of ghee.Vegetable pilau rice has a pungent spiced flavour with plenty of garlic, alongside onions, carrots and peas. Aubergine bhaji is cooked in a delightful mild nutty gravy balanced with tomato.Meal for two - with portions tending to be on the rather bigger side, with 2 beers and 2 glasses of red wine - just under £45. Hard to believe this is possible, as I have forked out more for a takeaway on the same sort of scale, but I think the portions here are bigger and the atmosphere superb. The staff are attentive and sociable and do everything at their disposal to see you enjoy yourself. If that is not enough to convince you to check it out - go on a Sunday where you can get any starter, main, vegetable, rice, naan and popadom (yes ALL of that) for £11.95, even if you want King Prawns it's only another £2.50.In this day and age of watching the pennies, it is worth travelling here hungry for a quality night out without fretting about breaking the bank. I am going back soon for that Sunday special and so should you.

I ate at Raj Boy this week with my family, spanning ages 7 to 75. Everyone agreed that or an informal, and relatively inexpensive family meal, it was perfect. Since they do most of their business as deliveries, the restaurant itself is generally quiet, the waiters are friendly and the service is relaxed. The decor is basic, but the food is great. As a starter I recommend the chingri puri - it is delicious, the prawns are fairly spicy and go so well with the pancake style bread. We ordered a selection of main courses, vegetable side dishes, rice and a variety of different breads for everyone to share - for those who like their curry mild the Chicken Kashmir made a pleasant change from the usual chicken korma. It's sauce was creamy and packed with fruit such as lychees. The machli jhul (medium hot fish curry) was also very good.Bill for 5 people including beers and popadums was just over £60. Great value.

Rajboy is a really great place to have as your local curry house. It is located on Commercial Rd near Limehouse DLR about half way between the City and Canary Wharf. Because of its rather "out of the way location" Rajboy doesn't suffer from the crowds of city-types demanding shiny decor, over the top presentation, expensive wines and inflated prices. Quite the opposite, Rajboy is an unpretentious, relaxing place, where you dont need a reservation, and the staff take time to chat and get to know you. They make you feel genuinely welcome. With its friendly service, good honest food and affordable prices it is one of my favourite places to go for dinner after a long, tiring day. You know those evenings when you just can't face cooking dinner and wish your meal would magically appear? Rajboy works that magic brilliantly!Prices for eating in the restaurant aren't much higher than takeout prices, and I definitely prefer to eat-in. I have no idea why this is, but the food served in the restaurant tastes better to me than when I order the same dish as a takeaway. Plus there is the added bonus that someone else does the clearing up!I can recommend most of the menu. My particular favourites are the Chingri Puri starter, the King Prawn Pathia, the Vegetable Dhansak, the Chicken Hariali, the Mumbai (with citrus fruit), and the Lau (with pumpkin/squash).Also I would recommend Rajboy to anyone staying at the Holiday Inn Express just around the corner. If you are travelling alone, Rajboy is the kind of place you can feel comfortable taking a book or newspaper, or just chatting with the staff.
