The food was really good for me. I think the taste was so similar to Cantonese cuisine. We ordered a sour duck and a sweet and sour pork. They were really good. The tastes were not very strong. Which is perfect for Hong Kong people. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely order again.

This is a joke place when it comes to making sauces,they don't have a clue how it suppose to taste. Food it self doesn't have correct ingredients. Don't waste your money here.

Ordered for the first time on Saturday night, me and my 3 friends have now all got food poisoning, safe to say I will never be ordering from here again

Got to be the blandest food I’ve ever eaten. Ordered on 3 separate occasions just in case they were having a bad day the first and second time. I ordered special chow mein, beef Curry, mushroom fried rice and very over salted chips, all for a bargain 20 quid Sorry to say there will not be a 4th time, what a let down tasted awful, UPDATE … I have had the worst belly aches this evening (24 hours later) and spent all evening the bathroom ***avoid this take away ****

I used to use the Rainbow years ago and always found the food was always lovely and the delivery man Michael was always so friendly. However, tonight was a totally different experience altogether… Firstly, they charged £4 delivery and another £5 for a small order… £9 before you had even a morsel! The rice was cold, tasteless and stodgy… the chicken balls greasy and the batter tasted half cooked… finally, the sauce was again tasteless… an absolute disgrace!! Sorry, that the photo does not show accurately how bad it was… even the dog didn’t get it! ( I love my dog!)

Only take away. No dine in is available. Chinese dishes they make good. The taste is reasonable but food quantity is worth the money. Overall good.

Egg Fried rice was a little stodgy and my beef with mushrooms was 15% beef with 85% mushrooms which is ridiculous for the price.

Waited a long time for delivery & when finally arrived the curry sauce was split open & spilled all over our food. Phoned to complain & no one answered the phone. Won’t order from you again. Disgusting 😡

Ordered here for about a year to be told they will not serve me any more as I have an allergy ! They said food hygiene ( council) have said they can not serve people with allergy’s due to a previous incident Disgraceful! Avoid if you have allergy ! ! Asked to speak with Manager they refused!

Had a king prawn curry orderd of just eat on Sunday woke up being sick was bad allday Monday I don't like the place but it's round the corner so thought ill get it as everywhere was busy

Third bad experience, now never ordering again. Wrong order arrived. Driver had delivery tickets all over the floor of their car, clearly no control. We returned the order to car after running down the drive to catch driver. Told us our order would be delivered in 5 mins. 30 mins later rang the restaurant to ask about progress to ge accused of stealing food from the erroneous order. Even when it arrives it’s average food. Not worth the drama

First time using this place and the food arrived on time which was good, the chicken and beef curry's were nice however if you'd like have the world's worst chips then here is your place. The chips were that old looking so inedible and it's a shame because it ruins your experience. They were terrible which just made the curry worse.

Cold food, revolting infact . 17.00 for boiled rice chop suey some ribs and crackers. Fri night worked all week knackered and that arrived! It was horrible, I'm not accustomed to eating bad food. I'm not using anymore takeaways

Good tasty food and not particularly expensive. Ordering on the website is more expensive than in store.

We use this takeaway regularly and they never fail to please. The order was ready on time and the food absolutely delicious. Unlike a lot of Chinese takeaways the dishes are never oily or greasy. Recommend the seafood udon noodles and crispy beef (spicy). We'll definitely be using them for our next Chinese.

Love this place! Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is always hot and fresh and tastes amazing. Would never go anywhere else for Chinese, I highly recommend The Rainbow

Excellent, had on two occasions recently. Delivery time excellent, very hot when delivered, could eat every night. Delivery man extremely pleasant and friendly

It's a shame I can't rate this takeaway 0 stars... My partner and I ordered some seafood with vegetables, singapore noodles and thai chicken wings. We were told 10-15 minute wait, however the food arrived in just over 5 minutes which suggests all the food is premade, perhaps frozen and then reheated. Upon opening the seafood dish, we were hit with the most ungodly stench and after inspection, discovered it was actually the squid that had contaminated the whole dish. I can't even begin to describe the smell, but it was enough to cause both of us to throw up. After calling the restaurant, the manager told us that all the food is made 'fresh' and whatever smell we're experiencing is normal. He then began to explain that if we wanted a refund we would need to drive all the way back and and he would inspect the squid himself and give us a 7.50 refund. I do not believe that a single refund is acceptable for the quality of food they provided. We had eaten a few bites and are currently suffering from intense stomach pains and are concerned we may have food poisoning. DO NOT EAT HERE!

The best Chinese take away around! Our Chinese friends advised it couple of years ago. Since that time we take food only here.

Not impressed at all. Super long head hair came with my beef chow mein order through just eat from this restaurant - rainbow Chinese. A very poor and terrible hygiene service!!! I had eaten half of the food.

Waited over two hours for food to arrive...(still notting at this point)... Kept being fobbed of by the guy on the phone... Shocking service not even a sorry or notting...!!

I used this takeaway for over 25 years, best takeaway beef in black bean sauce in Cov!!!!! Remeber the days of Angel working there.

Pretty decent food from here and they take the prawns out of the spring rolls and unlike others you get two of them for your money! Staff seem genuine and nice too. This is my new Chinese take away!

Have just had a delivery via just eat, set meals, including sweet and sour chicken, that came with curry sauce!!! The chicken chop suey is basically chicken in water, no flavour at all, and the bbq sauce was greasy and bland. Called the rainbow and they offered £5.00 refund, when they have time to call just eat. This is truly the worst Chinese we’ve had. Do not use these people

Ordered via just eat and 20 minutes later collected as expected. Food was plentiful and very nice. I had set meal for 1 and there was no issue changing from beef in black bean sauce to chicken. The set meal was better value too as got some curry samosas for 30p more. They were really nice. We also had sweet and sour chicken which had the main and rice in one large handy bowl. So much was there that half saved for next day. Prawn crackers included was a bonus. And double bonus was the unexpected free 1.5L of diet coke. I will definitely go back to Rainbow Chinese for our next Chinese takeaway.

Ordered from here recently and they got my order wrong. I rang up to ask whether they can deliver my sauce as it was missing because in its place was BBq spare ribs! The women told me to use the Bbq sauce out of the bottom of the spare rib tray as she was not sending the delivery driver back!! Im vegetarian !! Most rudest place ive ever eatten from!!

I will never eat here again food tasted dirty. And old. I had 5 spoons of this Chinese we ordered special fried rice. And had one look at it and put the lid back on it looked like some one droped it on the floor and scooped it up we allso had. Chicken curry. And beef cashews all of it was horrible my mum had tummy pains I have not stoped being on the toilet. Serios I’ll never eat there again

First and last time I order here. The Kung Po can only be described as a bland gravy granules sauce with uncooked chunks of vegetables and meat so tasteless and full of sinew and fat that I wouldn't give it to my dog. Totally uneatable. Also, got accosted by some local young yob while waiting for my order. Avoid.

Ordered chicken foo young tried a piece of chicken it was really undercooked so phoned the takeaway straight away and the woman I spoke to kept on insisting chicken was well cooked wouldn't listen to me at all and refused to replace my order I use this Chinese every time I visit coventry but I will never use it again very poor customer service

The crispy duck (1/4 duck) was really well cooked and even after being in the takeaway box for at least 10 minutes, was still crispy. Spring onions, chopped cucumber and hoi sin sauce (plus the lettuce hiding under the duck) AND six fun-size pancakes was a big snack or small meal for two. King Prawn Chow Mein was equaly delicious. Prawn crackers and a Tsingtao would have rounded it off perfectly. I'll be ordering from these guys again, certainly.

Iv always ordered from here, and never had any problems but had a chicken and sweet corn soup the other night and it was vile sent it back. Very reasonably priced and the delivery man is the best in the country

I have been using this take away for 3 years and have never had a problem. It seems that there has been a change of management cook or ownership. The standard of the food has dropped by 80% and I will not be returning unless I notice the old staff in attendance. :( will be a buch missed treat.

Yuk sung sloppy, tasteless and with no prawn cracker accompaniment. Chicken inedible. Ate 10% of it and threw the rest away. DO NOT GO THERE

Don't forget to order the chicken wings (on chilli sauce) ! best wings I've had. Rest normal chinese standards priced reasonably. Would call again !

Order from here on a semi regular basis. The food is reasonable quality and delivery usually very quick and always very polite.
