We hired the function room, great size room staff were great. And they allowed us to decorate how we wanted too

Been coming here over the years. Food great at October 2024. Try the pies. Whooh. Good selection of beers. Cheers

Went there for a birthday party. The rooms upstairs were fine. Efficient bar service and decent buffet. Parking facilities not great.

Decent pints, and good ambient music choices. The clientele is predominantly local so it is hard not to feel like an outsider but it's interesting to feel in the skin what all Clint Eastwood's stranger characters felt like in the western movies. The staff was fine.

Really nice in here for somewhere close to the train station, just if you are not a local you may get odd looks when you walk in… but the beers good, staff seem friendly.

Had my retirement do here and had a fab night great place and staff xxx

Great pint of mild, I have not been in the Railway for about 35 years as I no longer live in the area, I don't think it's been changed at all, and you know what, it doesn't need changing, it's a great traditional working man's pub, always was, and hopefully always will be. I think I will have a pint there next week!

A great pub, with wine, beer and spirits that are quire reasonably priced. Located right next to the train station. Always guaranteed great service from the staff.

Family PARTY bit squashed in the function room and far too warm

Very nice little venue but stairs and passageway to reach them are far to narrow.

It is a very old fashioned bar that needs a lot of renovations

Quiet, first time in it, not a place ud frequent

To quiet for me, all depends on the atmosphere you prefer

Three if us went for quick drink before train barmaid asked us what we were having, served one of us then disappeared, tried to get her attention but just got ignored. Not going there again!
