Fabulous food with quality ingredients and friendly staff. We were recommended The Ragged Apron by a family member as we were visiting Woodhall Spa and was so happy that we went! We loved the food that much that we visited three times during our break. The breakfast is amazing value at £5, it consisted of 2 bacon, 2 sausage, fried egg, beans, mushrooms, hash brown and fried bread. The ingredients were great quality with proper thick cut bacon and tasty sausages. We could not fault the food or the staff who were friendly and attentive, as a larger party it is not always easy to accommodate us but staff ensured that our tables were next to each other and our meals always arrived at the same time. We will definitely be back 😊.

Nice cafe, nice food shame about the Male owner! Rude & uncompromising. Embarrassed existing customers waiting for food & drink with his tantrum!

What a great addition to places to eat in our village of Woodhall Spa. Food is fantastic and extremely good value and the cafe itself is spotless, spacious and modern and the owners and staff are very efficient and friendly. The cafe has recently expanded into what was originally a pub/carpet shop and has been tastefully decorated to suit. We had a tasty Sunday lunch last weekend which was my treat for Mother’s Day and it certainly was. A lovely home cooked roast dinner and dessert for only £11:95 and all delicious too. Can’t wait to return…..any excuse. (It’s a shame that the approach to the cafe is not terribly enticing, so don’t be put off by the overgrown brambles on the pavement, we just walk on the road which saves snagging your clothing)

This cafe is the best value in the area! It has just expanded so more tables available. Food is delicious and the staff efficient and friendly. And it’s the right location for walks along the riverside.

Wow! Big uptick for this place. We were a party of 7 for a birthday lunch. In all honesty, we weren't expecting much. It is, after all, just an unpretentious - looking cafe, but boy, were we wrong! Service was great. Decor is modern, tables and chairs look like new. The menu looks like any cafe type place - BUT DON'T BE FOOLED. Burgers are HUGE! SALADS are HUGE! Set Roast meal (pork in this case) are HUGE! All the food and drink was beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unbelievably, we thought that the pricing meant that we were looking at 'greasy spoon' fare. Boy, we were wrong. Booking is strongly recommended as (unsurprisingly) the cafe is often fully booked. WE WILL BE BACK.

We arrived at 1.55pm for a drink and possible cake or scone to be met by a sour faced lady who did not greet us but just said “we’ve stopped doing hot food”. We advised we had really just come for a drink. She then took us through into the cafe. Only one table was in use so we approached a table for two to be told sternly “can you sit here” and gestured to the adjacent table. We said we wouldn’t as clearly we were unwelcome. So we left saying we would spend our money elsewhere where we would be made welcome. The food is probably very nice and the cafe was clean and well appointed. The frosty reception was unpleasant.

Not the easiest place to find as it appears to be part of a old pub which is now primarily a flooring store. The Ragged Apron is to the side of the building in a conservatory - there is also a garden area. Do not be put off by the surroundings as the restaurant/cafe is a wonder. The day we visited the offerrings were as per the menu but more complex delights are available some days. The food was very plentiful, tasty and very good for the price. The cafe is small but clean and well managed. Certainly a hidden gem.

Spotted from the car park and decided to stop for a coffee. There was some seating outside so perfect for anyone with dogs. It was a beautiful spring day so we also decided to have some cakes and a cheese scone. I have to say the cakes were fab and the cheese scone was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

Weekend away and booked this lovely little restaurant. Great service with plenty of dishes to choose from including the specials board. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, the Dunes Complex is definitely not wheelchair friendly. There are disabled parking spaces in the car park. However, they were all taken, and some didn't have Blue Badges visible. Once in the Dunes Complex, there are 2 more ramps to consider, the 1st one is quite steep, and the 2nd one is less of a hassle. If a wheelchair user or someone who has mobility difficulties wanted to get to the stage, they would have to ask staff for a further ramp. To get onto the stage itself, well, there are narrow corridors that a wheelchair does not fit through, and there are no handles or any form of mobility aid.

We visited here for breakfast after a very busy morning packing up our tent to go home after a stay at a nearby campsite (extra points for being dog friendly!). All very hungry there were plenty of options to choose from and even the option to build your own breakfast which was great for my daughter who wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but would still like certain items! The staff were lovely, the service was quick and the food was delicious! Extra shoutout to the iced latte and the big buts breakfast. It was amazing! We will definitely be returning when we are back in Anderby. Thank you!
