My first time at this italians and it was amazing ....i had the arincini and my partner had the prawn cocktail both very good , mains i had meatball tagliatelle which was piping hot and very filling my partner had the sunday roast which she chose lamb as there was no beef left she said her lunch was nice ...I'd defo return ..the girl serving was so polite and nothing was too much trouble .

First time to dine here. Very nice decor. Table very tastefully set up. Freshly cooked food of good quality and nicely presented. Exceptional value. Run by a very friendly couple who take pride in the quality of service and efficiency. Will be back with a large group for lunch in November.

We've been here a few times now and we've had great food and service every time. The atmosphere is fantastic and it's especially good for a visit with children. The food has always been excellent without being too expensive. As a fan of seafood, I've never been disappointed at the seafood dishes I've had here. The kids love the pizzas and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.

I had a Sizzling Steak the steak was tough as old boots and flooded in oil did not want to make a seen as I was with the family, but as it turned after they were in the same mind. will not be going back.

Our visit and really glad we decided to eat here. Haven't tasted such a good pizza for ages, service and atmosphere all lovely. We will certainly return!

We were staying in the area and came across Rafaello's after a Google search for nearby Italian restaraunts so decided to give it a try. It's a small but busy restaraunt run by a very efficient front of house team. There is a set menu available where you can get 3 courses for £8.95 - amazing value when you consider the quality of food. Saying that, we ordered from the a'la carte and had 1 pasta dish, 1 chicken dish and 2 kids meals. Everything arrived in good time having been freshly cooked right Infront of you (you can see the kitchen from your seat) and we all enjoyed our dishes. Service was friendly despite them being very busy on a Thursday night and we will be back if in the area again.

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime as a birthday treat. The restaurant was comfortably busy with a great atmosphere. Most people were having Sunday lunch which looked superb. everybody seemed pleased with their food and service. We selected from the main menu and I’ve got to say all the food was excellent. Everything was delivered to the table in good time and the waitresses were first class in looking after us throughout the two hours we stayed. Great quality food, well prepared and presented. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, we’ll be back soon.

Food delicious. Had pate to start. Freshly made by Nico. Pollo creama for main. Chicken perfectly cooked. Chunky homemade chips amazing. To finish mango cheesecake. Not my choice but we shared was amazing x Italian go to restaurant. Highly recommend a try. Menu to please every palate xI

We have visited this restaurant almost every Saturday evening since 2019 when not on holiday or during lockdown. Even during the latter we used the takeaway service. The food is always excellent with a good choice of dishes. I have occasionally requested something not on the menu and been provided it with no problem. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the owner is almost always there and is approachable even when working in the kitchen. The place is usually very busy, which I think speaks for itself. Highly recommend

Had to write this review as I have just had the most unpleasant experience for my friend birthday meal.Yet I had booked a table 2 weeks ago only to be greeted by a waitress who didn’t have a table set up or know where to sit us even though there was hardly a soul in the restaurant.When eventually got seated next to the serving hatch we could hear every swear word from F to B from the Scottish chef as well as complaints about just eat.The swearing was unreal and non stop.The food was mediocre and when I ordered carbonara I was given penne instead of tagliatelle.To top it of the Shiraz wine cost £25 quid.I am all for promoting small businesses around our area but I’m afraid I cannot promote this well disappointed

We came with friends who have been several times before. As soon as we sat down I knew we were going to have a lovely evening. The welcome was warm and the restaurant, which was already quite busy, had a friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive and the food was very good and not expensive. I really enjoyed my Salmon penne and my wife liked her lasagne. It’s definitely worth a visit.

My fiancée is agrophobic and has not been out in over 17 years. It took a lot of courage for Steven to leave the house and we were made very welcome and treat with the most respect and kindness by all the staff. I have a lot of allergies and all my dietary needs were catered for. They went out of their way to make us cocktail’s and gave us a free shot. We were very impressed and will be going back for date nights in a regular basis. Top marks to all the staff the food was cooked to perfection. Beautiful food drinks and staff well done all thank you for an amazing evening

First time for Sunday lunch -£11.95 for 3 courses. Beautiful food beef was perfect plenty veg although broccoli/ Cauli was a la dente. Leek and potato soup for starter really tasty definitely go back. A relaxed Sunday lunch

Had a lovely meal tonight at Rafaellos with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Sea Bass and Serloin steak were cooked to perfection. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Already recommended to family and friends. Will be back soon.

An amazing restaurant. Delicious food, excellent service in a gorgeous restaurant. Definitely worth a visit. The do happy hour meals everyday. The pizza's are fresh and delicious. Anyone will enjoy their food. If you're visiting Northumberland do pay it a visit.

My family and I were at the restaurant on August 26th 2023 for an evening meal 7of us, all was well until I was asked about my main meal, I replied it was very dry and could not eat it, I was offered a replacement but declined the girl was very nice then the gentleman who was front of house came over and asked what my problem was, so I repeated my concern again I was offered a replacement but declined, then he picked up my plate and while walking away said " I will take it to the kitchen and we will taste it then let you know if if we think it is dry " !!!! he then came halfway back to our table and said " I will take it off the bill" in not a very nice manner, everyone else's meal was perfect which we knew it would be as we often eat there. When we asked for the bill another gentleman who was from the kitchen said " yea whatever " our bill came to £260 and when we left there was NO goodbye or THANK YOU ! if this is the kind of staff they have now we will not be back.

This is a really small restaurant in a small village in Northumberland. The service is really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is AMAZING - one of my party wanted pizza but with added olives which were happily added. Every time I have been there I have had a really enjoyable experience.

Our family of five came in here for our evening meal as a change to the restaurants that we usually go to in Morpeth. We were warmly greeted and the waiter was very attentive without being ever present. We had a mix of pasta and pizza between us and the were all absolutely fabulous; the pizzas were crisp and piping hot and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I can't comment on the desserts as we were too full to try them but the set menu seemed to be incredible value at three courses for £7.95. We would definitely choose this restaurant as our first choice in the future, it was a lovely evening; thank you.

Went a couple of weeks ago for a meal, got sat near where the pass is and it was so cold, had to put my coat back on! Obviously they had the back door wide open. My wife and I went with our grandson, his wife and our great grandson on Saturday 1/9/18 for a meal as we were told the food was good. the adults had starters & main course, the wives had desserts and the great grandson had a kids meal. We were not disappointed and all very happy with our food. The atmosphere was good, not too quiet and not too loud. The staff were very friendly an helpful, we'll definitely go again.

Me and my girlfriend dined here through the day during this hot sun for a lunchtime bite to eat. I have been meaning to try the food here for a while as I live local. The decor was stylish and it felt comfortable on arrival, it felt like we were in Italy due to the hot weather.I had the goats cheese and my girlfriend had the garlic mushrooms, they were amazing starters, extremely tasty and the perfect size for a starter.I had the lasagne Al forno, I felt it was almost too cheesy but the flavours were lush and it was filling, my girlfriend had the king prawns with tagliatelle, it was the best tasting pasta I’ve tasted in a long time.All washed down with a Sauvignon blanc chardonnay.9/10. Will definitely return soon. Well priced.

Great to have a good restaurant in guidepost, within walking distance from our house ! Staff are very friendly and food is good ! Really enjoyed the 3 times we have been and will be going back ! Wish it was a bit bigger , maybe a bar area to sit while you wait for table but I hope they do well and stay open as lovely to have a restaurant in the area .

I recently visited Raffaello after driving past a few times and seeing it quite busy thought we would try. We were not disappointed we had a pate starter and prawn in garlic starter both were very good but then came the main....... we both ordered the lamb and it was absolutely delicious. Mine was slightly over done but still extremely tender and tasty. The chef walked past our table and noticed mine was over he apologised and then sent the manager/owner to our table to apologise and offer us a drink on the house. I will definitely be returning in the hope to try more of their menu but I can't get enough of the lamb so might just have to have two mains :-)

We tried the restaurant as we only live a few hundred yards away and had our fingers cross that it was going to be good as we don’t have much choice other than takeaway and standard pub grub. We were pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and welcoming and food was good. Not the best we’ve ever tasted but very enjoyable. We wish it luck and hope to visit again soon.

Went there for a family Sunday lunch (seven people) nice place, some had starters, it wasn't that busy, as we went after the rush, it took a while for the main meal to come out, and even longer for the potatoes and veg to come out, when it did, it was very, very portion control and veg was cold, don't think we will be going back there for a Sunday lunch again, very disappointing, service very slow, not enough serving staff, this not just our opinion but also the rest of our family as well

We arrived on a very chilly afternoon to discover the atmosphere inside Raffaellos soon made us forget the weather outside!We were met by pleasant, friendly staff who, throughout our stay, showed the utmost curtesy while offering a varied range of tasty food. We chose a mix of traditional and Italian dishes all cooked beautifully and were very much appreciated by our party of four adults.My husband and I have visited on three occasions with different family and friends and found each time that food and experience to be consistently good. I'd heard good reports about this small restaurant so when our friend stayed with us we went for a meal. It was belated birthday treats from her for my husband and me. My husband ordered a starter of potato skins. It was piping hot when it arrived and it really was potato skins. After a couple of minutes, our friend and I were served with a complimentary bruschetta to share. A lovely gesture. Our main courses duly arrived: my husband had ordered calzone pizza and our friend and I had tagliatelle. The calzone looked really big and our tagliatelle arrived in warm bowls, beautifully cooked and nice and hot. I'd ordered mushrooms to be incorporated with the ham in the sauce and, although the menu stated that "sides" were £1.50 extra, our friend wasn't charged. The two waitresses were really friendly and made time to chat with us. The meals were ordered from the "Early Bird" menu, but they were on a par with the quality and quantity you'd expect from the main menu. Altogether a totally enjoyable evening.

2nd time Iv been to this restaurant tonight & both times have been massively impressed with both the food & staff!! Tried a steak the 1st visit & can honestly say it’s one of the nicest steaks Iv ever had! Pasta tonight was delicious too. I think in some Italian restaurants the pasta dishes can seem quite “microwave meal” like but this was lovely & fresh & full of flavour! Staff were very efficient & friendly & made us feel welcome & relaxed. After our meal we still had some wine left so took our time chatting and finishing the drinks.. at no point at all did we feel rushed or pressured to hurry up and leave (which we have done in some other restaurants!) Think we’v found our new favourite place for Italian food! Cant wait to go back and try a bit more of the menu! I’d say it’s quite reasonably priced too so I would definitely recommend giving it a go!
