Was extremely expensive for a tiny piece of fish.. won't return

Always been solid in the past but disappointing on this visit. The fish in the scone was hard like toffee.

Waiting for fish is a an absolute joke in there! Fish are smaller n thiner than other better fisheries in keighley! Everywhere else has lots fried up as you walk in! And are always busy unlike queen's Road! Theyed do better n make more if customers saw hot cupboards full like others!! Pathetic,needs to be cleaner aswell!!

Didnt get the order right, and got charged for it so not sure when we will be reimbursed as don't want to go back

Used to do the best fish & chips in Keighley. Went back after a while and seams the ownership/ management has changed, even though the fishes were fried upon order not the same as before.

Nice chips. Fluffy on the inside however crispy on the outside. Good service.

Husband surprised me tonight with a small fish and chips and curry sauce. Paid for it, no curry sauce in bag, first chip I ate was raw and the majority of them also...fish disappointing also as that was over cooked....normally fish is lovely from here, but that was shocking.

Awful Always used these as the portions were generous, well cooked, tasty. What has happened? Fish cake was a lot smaller, tasteless and overcooked. Chips were hard and again tasteless. Really disappointing and won't be using them again.

It's not often I leave reviews however without feedback it's hard for the establishment to do something about it. The scoop they use for portion sizes needs upping. My 5 year old ate all his and stated he was still hungry, I barely filled my bread cake with chips and they were gone. Such a shame as we won't be going there from now on as you don't want to spend out twice because everyone is still hungry. Supporting locals business's is fine but not when you feel like you haven't gotten what you have paid for. Curry sauce was nice, barely any butter on the bread cake at all. It's not the first time that's why I am leaving a review as everyone does have off days but seems like that scoop portion is there to stay.

Nice friendly people. I was walking past and could not resist the smell coming from within and so I found myself buying my lunch. The chips were the most dreadul I have ever had, in fact they were so bad, it must have taken a huge effort to make them this horrible. Small with sharp hard edges, and the middles were really tough. Considering the chippy had only been open for 30 mins I don't understand how they time to cook them this badly, so Im rather sure they were left over from the previous day.

Awful food, asked for a large chips and was appalled with the amount, didn’t even fill half a plate, plus they were clearly the old scraps left in the tray, so like cardboard. Gravy was cold and tasteless and the service was shocking, no hello, no offer of a bag and not even a thank you when you leave. Your asked on the way in the shop to support you local chippy, and they have sheets and decorating but all over, so you expect the standard to be a little less than usual, however if that’s the service your likely to receive I’d rather go elsewhere.

Best chippy in town, food is always fresh, reasonably priced, staff are always friendly

Great food, great customer service

Hardly any salt and vinegar put on the food and not able to do your own, fish was ok, cury sauce was ok, gravy was literally like brown water totally tasteless and for £1.25 for a small tub thats a joke. I was just passed a bag and the food, its not hard to pack the order for the customer as you go on is it.

Updated. WAY over priced. 2.50 for a tray of chips is bang out of line. Food was average really, nothing great. The only reason this place got 3 stars is because the lady who served me was great, spot on.

Chips manky with black bits in fish batter soggy customer service rubbish won't be going there again

The paper that they use for their food is horrible. All the chips was stick on to it, I’ve tried to take it off as careful as I could but I was turning my chips into mush. I would highly recommend you guys to change your packing as it’s not working with your greasy food. The fish tasted nice. Only down side was the parchment paper was not working well with the chips.

They were just about to close when we got there, but service was quick and the food was reasonable particularly the fish which was very nice. The chips were a bit "old" looking but were OK especially considering that they were about to shut for the evening. Recommended

Not often I feel compelled to leave reviews for this kind of thing but after eating that tonight I had to come on to say it was THE worst fish and chips I've had in my life! Utterly disgusting! I knew as I walked in it was gonna be bad and saw two young kids behind the counter chatting on. No care whatsoever with what they were doing and as a result the chips were inedible, hard as nails and burnt to a crisp. The fish was just about edible but the batter was really dark and the fish was tough, it was so overcooked. Went to queen's Rd about 6 months ago and really enjoyed it, don't know if it's under new ownership but proves it's all about the staff. Young kids are a no go, you need experience when it comes to frying. Avoid this place like the plague! I won't be back that's for certain!

Chewing whilst cooking ..tea time an curry sauce not ready ..they asked if we wanted salt an vinegar on yes still got non ..scraps on fish & chips we got non .. hubby asked the fryer can you do me a battered sausage please only to be told you need to tell her ..rude is a under statement...never going back

Awful chipy. A bag of chips is priced at £2.30 so 40pence more than Bardetts down the road. The staff are miserly and wouldn't give me chips for😡 £1.90. Only went there because Bardetts was closed. Avoid the place. Misers!
