Huge platefuls of delicious, freshly cooked food. Waited longer than you'd wait at Wetherspoons., but the quantity and quality of the food at Queens Head is so brilliant that you can understand the reason. We ate a gammon dish, and an omelette dish. Service was wonderful. We'll definitely come back, even though we live over 30 minutes away.

Try this place ,, was a real good find,, staff really friendly customers really friendly and food was top notch at a very reasonable price, we stayed at premier inn 15 mins walk up the road stumbled on this pub and loved the place ,, thank you for you hospitality and great food

Friendly helpful staff with good local knowledge as they had stopped doing food so Bev helped us get a takeaway ordered Good pint of lager 🍺 we will return if working in this area again

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday and it was amazing! Great portions, we had lamb which came with stuffing ball and Yorkshire pudding, lots of freshly cooked vegetables, we had extra cauliflower cheese which was delicious! We were all too full for deserts but the cheesecake looked very tempting, will definitely be back!

Popped in for a beer on the way home. Large kids play area kept them busy and plenty of outdoor seating in the beer garden too

Great food for the price friendy helpfull staff

Went to the Queens Head this evening for the first time, ordered drink and food. I have to say the food was beautiful, I had the curry, hubby had the fish and chips, highly recommended if you have never been before. I will definitely be going back. The prices are very very reasonable, and the portions are a good decent size. 04.04.24

Family and dog friendly pub which is important to me with 2 dogs and 2 kids. Really nice welcoming staff who love dogs, treats and fuss and other customers with friendly dogs too. Haven't eaten a meal here but the food looks and smells great. Great beer with quick friendly service. The pub has a pool table, kids play area with a large outside seating area and 3 seperate indoor areas.

From the initial meeting at the bar the young lady who served us was both efficient and friendly, there were other customers before us and she took the time to welcome us. Our order was dealt with quickly and the food arrived within 20 minutes the food was of a good quality and was hot and served with a smile it was also very good value for money I would definitely return if I was in the area again thankyou to all.

Came here for the first time for food yesterday evening. Amazing food and service. The lasagne was homemade, tasty and piping hot! Also had the fully loaded burger brilliant portion sizes. Excellent value for money. Will defo be returning!

We waited so long for the meal our stomachs thought our throats had been cut when the meal eventually arrived our stomachs wished our throats had been cut as the food was dreadful.

A very comfortable local pub in wilnecote. Delicious foods and a nice environment with nice staffs and customers. It is really good to have a glass of drink with friends for watching a football match during the weekend. It has outdoor seats too.

Do not know the area and were left to the vagaries of deciding on a meeting place. Initially, we noticed the menu prices which suggest one would not have to break the bank to dine here. As we had time to kill before some American extended family members were to arrive we decided to at least check out the pub. There were a number of locals in the lounge who made us welcome. They were older and dining speaking well of the food. As a result we decided to give the place a try. We were happily surprised that our visit turned out so well. Meredith Nottingham.

Having served in the Army, Fire Brigade and finally the Police it is no small wonder that eighteen months ago I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD and part of my treatment is to do things that make me happy. So I went to the Warley International Model Railway show at the NEC Centre weekend of the 26 and 27th November 2022. On the Saturday after the show I was told by Jaqueline at Travelodge Tamworth M42 that the Queens Head, Tamworth served really good food. On entering this establishment I was informed by two lovely ladies that the chef was not in due to her children being ill. I thought it only right to purchase a beer and whilst there was made very welcome by staff and locals alike. I then asked Bev the landlady where the nearest Chinese takeaway was, only to be told they were having a Chinese takeaway tonight and what did I want and they would order it for me. Whilst waiting for my Chinese Bev did some spare ribs which were delicious. I then had a second beer with my Chinese takeaway whilst enjoying the fabulous atmosphere in a really lovely pub. When I return to next years show I will definitely call in again and hopefully get a pub meal this time, either way I just want to call in again to this very friendly pub with a fantastic atmosphere. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Love to all Chris.

Amazing historical pub. Only popped in to meet friends for a couple 🍻 could have stayed all night. Friendly and professional staff and the boss love's to give treat's to the king Charles spaniel. Great pub, will definitely be going again, to check out the food it looked amazing.

Best roast beef dinner I ever had!. The meat tender and topped with a Yorkshire pud, carrots, cabbage, a roast parsnip and roast and mashed potatoes with horseradish sauce👍. Wonderful! I'm still thinking about it 🥇🥇

It may not look wow and glitz from the outside. But its a super friendly pub. Great to enjoy some sports in the sports/tv area. But in the front bar it feels like an old style country pub.

Just passing through Tamworth and checked this pub out for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the food is very good. We had the sirloin steak, médium rare. All freshly cooked to taste and beautifully presented. We were the only ones eating for some reason though. Most others were drinking and watching the football or cricket on one of three TV screens. I'll remember to come back to eat here again.

Great to see food is now back here. From Steve's stack to lovely veggie options including home made Lasagne to Mozzarella burgers and good vfm. Dogs are welcome inside and out and the staff are friendly. Extensive garden and children's play area. Steve and Bev are always happy to welcome existing and new customers

We visited as a group of 8 and got a friendly welcome and found a great spot in the large beer garden. It has a great play area for kids. The landlady even came around offering ice pops for the kids as it was a hot sunny day. We all ordered lunch and it all came out hot and freshly made. Very good prices for the good so will definitely go back soon.
