Really nice outside area, didn't eat here but drinks were reasonable price

The lady that served us was literally amazing so nice best ever! And the food was unreal the Brie wedges were 11/10 the garlic ciabatta was the best garlic bread I’ve ever eaten like ever! An the steak was cooked to perfection! Best service and meal ever highly recommend! Was our first ever time an defo will become a monthly thing also really good espresso martinis everything was just 11/10 We are both so fussy with food an drinks there’s always something we don’t like but honestly everything was just perfect I’m so shocked! Can’t wait to come back was worth every penny would pay more as was absolute quality!

We were on a pub crawl tonight & this establishment was absolutely g8 for our feeling for the night!

Amazing food and fabulous service. The roast dinner was one of the best I’ve had. The beef was perfectly cooked and really tender. The ladies serving were lovely and so polite. They couldn’t do enough for us.

Love the atmosphere, they have a nice little warmer to keep you cozy.. good place to have a couple of drinks with your mates 😁

There is no car park, but there are a few spaces in the road outside if you look for them. Getting into the pub is a problem, it has a number of doors at the front, none say "entrance", but push on the right door, if door opens, then that is the way in. The inside is l a bog-standard pub, which is okay, and there is also a garden with lots of tables available, some under cover. The service was good. The meals are on the expensive side (eg one of the cheapest is fish & chips at £14), and the drinks are well overpriced (a pint of beer leaves you with little change out of £6). We had 3 x fish and chips, all the fish were a tad overcooked and two of the fish still had quite a few bones in, but the chips were excellent. I don't know if the tomato ketchup is rationed, but the little dish of it put on our table when asked, did not go very far. It is not a place I would visit regularly for a meal.

Friendly staff, my steak was perfect. A good stop when the weather is sunny.

Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere & welcoming staff Came for lunch with a friend & our 2 little ones. My nachos & bbq bourbon bites were wonderful I could have order a bucket load! Staff were polite & welcoming. Love the Queens !

The Sunday roast lamb ranked amongst the best we've ever had, with interesting well-cooked sides included. The exterior of this pub promises little, but the food service is good reason to go inside...and return. Our only criticism would be the (very) poor selection of beers, so be prepared to opt for wine, cider or stout instead.

Unfortunately no pics as was far too disappointed with the food I had to hat they called leg of lamb it came up two leg steaks that was the weirdest colour that my husband thought it was pork!! The only whole plate was cold and I found the whole meal inedible this pub is a typical football pub with rowdy men shouting at the tv screen and not really a nice place to enjoy a Sunday roast but you live n learn!so just bear this in mind my husband chicken but also to be the fair the food was substandard and to be honest a carvery serves better!!

i think this pub needs to decide is it a gastro pub as food prices suggest it is or a football pub attracting larger louts. I don’t think it can be both as I experienced. Went out for what was hoping to be a nice quiet meal and was sat with loads of chanting footballers. Food was really nice so it was a shame. I think the pub should advise when booking if there is going to be a football match on. Not many would want to sit listening to that.

First impression - 5* service and food. After a disastrous start to a special birthday meal at another venue, this pub accommodated us last minute and totally turned our night around. The decor, food and service is superb. I can't wait to return. Thank you guys 👍

Where do I start? The beginning may be a good place! I’m visiting friends from my home in Birmingham for the weekend and we went to the Queens Head for some food and to watch the football. I had promised my friends we would be home for a film night by 7.30pm at the latest. This did not happen!!!! We arrived around 3.30pm and Catherine was behind the bar. She was extremely friendly and helpful regarding the table situation. We ordered food and it was the best CBLT (without the LT) I’ve ever had. We watched the Grand National and lost all our money, and then the football. This is where I noticed there was a cocktail menu. To be honest as someone who doesn’t drink I felt this could only go one way. It was happy hour until 7pm so we made sure we got our moneys worth before then. I then started chatting to Paisley who is only 18 and I informed her she really really needed to watch the film cocktail. I have to say all of the bar staff, Britney, Sophie, Paisley and Carla were by far the best bar staff I’ve ever met. So friendly, chatting and welcoming. Carla even agreed to come to the Maldives with me as long as I paid! Special note for Sophie as it was her first night, being thrown in the deep end. Six rounds of cocktails later, the night really got going and the being home at 7pm watching a film was a distance memory. I then noticed that Stacey Lee was due to perform later in the evening, I got so excited as I was aware of who she is. She was something else and right up my street. Every song she sang was a complete belter and I requested Somebody else’s guy and it was blumming amazing. I have two right feet but have never danced so much in my life. Special mention to Steve for the loan of his flat cap! Also special mention to Natalie the owner, thank you for putting up with us and not barring me. I will definitely be back if you let me in. The most delicious food I have ever had. Everything was freshly made. The Tuscan chicken was succulent and the sauce was delicious. My friends had a variety of meals and we tasted each others, they were all excellent. We had pudding although it wasn't needed as the main was enough. I had cheese cake and honestly it was the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommended.

Its a real pity because I've visited this pub numerous times and the food was good. Under new management it appears that today 2 tables have ordered the same dishes.Unfortunately we got given our food before another table . You might think this would be a mistake on the pubs part but you would be wrong .The manager comes out looks at our dishes served to us and says that's not for you its for the other table . and it gets better She says " Have you eaten it yet?" we are staring at our food wondering if it was going to taken from in front of us. She.then says it wasn't for you but you've eaten it now ,so you ll have to wait for the other food you ordered putting the blame for the wrong order being delivered to us on us when its actually got nothing to do with us. then she stalks off no apology. When the rest of out food does come . I suggest to the barman that the exchange she had with us who are also her customers and not just the other table was uncalled for and this should be reflected in the bill and I wouldn't be paying a service charge. She comes out starts saying again we had food reserved for the other table again not our problem and says she wasn't being rude but the food was meant for someone else.. Once you have given a meal to people under health and hygiene regulations you cannot give it to someone else so why she she came out and took up with us at all is beyond me. Then she speaks very loudly to the chef So i can hear and says "They're all complaining but they ate everything.. I go to pay the bill .No adjustment of the awful customer service has been reflected in the bill. I said to her I was not happy with the level or services and she say again you were eating food meant for the other table as if again this was our fault. I pay the bill and stated I wish her to give me the name and address of the area manager so I can formally complain about the service and she give me a card for the pub . I said you have made no effort to make up for the poor service and she said "You re being rude to me now " I said she had been rude to us since we had come in and not apologised ,turning her back she said" I've never had any complaints before." Finally I had left and another member of out party was still eating and she was shouting at the top of her voice "That Bitch was being anal about paying the meal." in his earshot and when he confronted her said "I thought you'd gone ." Tip: Close the kitchen window so customers can't hear you slagging them off."

The landlady doesn’t k ow how to speak to people .I really do think there should be minimum standards of customer service Worse still you can hear her talking about her customer through the kitchen window . Certain people are not suited to running a pub

I enjoyed their Sunday lunch because it was a good portion size and reasonable prices. Will come back for a visit someday :D

Staff and food (Sunday Roast) excellent :) My only 'gripe' being not having any ales on tap and I'm of that age (crusty) where ales are the 'goto'. Having said that I didn't ask if they had any in bottles :( But that thought has only just occurred to me. Next time I'll ask. Well worth a visit nonetheless

We had not booked so sat at a very comfy padded booth inside instead of the garden. Pornstar martini to start and then a land and sea platter. Really enjoyable and the pub, staff and food were excellent.

Went here over the weekend for a beer with my son. Booked in advance and sat at sofa for 2. Good Covid rules in place. Great staff and service. Well done!

The owner of this pub does not know how to treat people when it comes to customer service. Very rude and abrupt and the complete opposite of how you should treat a paying customer. However the staff and very friendly I only hope she doesn't treat them the way she treats her customers. Won't be going again.

Great food, not the warmest welcome from the bar staff and not sure how, having 12-15 blokes from a football team in the pub is adhering to covid social distancing!

My server was brilliant, food was nice, bit tight to eat with 4 of us but in the current climate, it is what it is, all in all had a lovely meal and drink

Wonderful food with our friends here yesterday. The menu is fantastic and the staff were brilliant. Top rate and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will definitely be eating here again.

Been to visit twice post lockdown, it was my first time visiting with my brother for lunch on a Monday and we sat outside for lunch. We booked prior to going and the service was very quick. They have a lovely seating area outside which has a Spanish feel to it and catches the sun all through-out the day. They also have seating indoors and under shelter in the booths should you not want to be right in the sun and the booths are a lovely touch. They are well looked after and decorated nice and cosy. On our second trip back we had great service again, one lady and very busy tables but she was still very much in control of the tables meaning that we wasnt waiting long at all. Food is delicious and very flavoursome pub grub. They offer slightly more high-end dishes too to suit everyone and all round a really nice atmosphere, will be back again soon!

Just had our second meal from this pub in the lock down ( take away obviously) what can I say. Absolutely fantastic first was a delicious Sunday roast, just make sure your hungry. The second was grilled chicken for the wife and a huge beef burger stack for me, and the desert’s wow, just try it for your selves, you won’t be disappointed. Oh and the staff are so,so nice and can’t help you enough. Well done all at the Queens head.👍🏻

We've been coming to the Queen's Head for about 8 years - mostly in the Summer as the area out back is a fantastic suntrap. Anyway, our last trip was exceptional: new menus and chairs, decor updates and the food quality was fantastic - looking forward to the next 8 years!

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday luch here, food served hot with a good selection of vegetables. Also deserts were to die for. Quite a small pub, but food very good.

A pub full of old man "geezers". I'd say a locals only pub, but they aren't local. Unfriendly and unpleasant atmosphere, music or TV blaring out.

I was surprised to wander in to the Queens Head on the off chance that they had a nice beer garden and not only did they have a lovely space to sit and enjoy a drink in the sunshine, but they had a very cool duo singing and playing music - and awesome break from the normal noise that a lot of pubs blast out these days. Needed sustenance and an update on the British Open, very friendly pub, nice atmosphere and a cracking Brie, Bacon Sandwich with the obligatory cold beer.Service was fine as was the Garden area, would have eaten out there had it not been for the Golf.Worth a visit!

We got there around 15:30 in the afternoon hoping to get a bite to eat but they said they were not serving food at that time. The atmosphere seemed more like it was for the locals because we got a lot of unfriendly stares so we left.

Stopped for a drink and lunch. Girl behind the bar was friendly. Lunch was delicious, the portions were huge and lunch was very good value. The pub and toilets were clean. Overall a very good experience.

Nice little pub with a great garden out the back. Food was very nice, good service and reasonable value.

Good spot to watch the football with two large tvs, well kept beers and the courtyard garden is a great sun trap. Haven't tried the food but told by others it's good.

It's quite a clique-y local pub vibe, stared at by locals when you walk in etc. Meal was alright, nothing special. The thing that really ruined the visit for us though was the mob like reaction from the locals when a mother with a young child (2ish) freaked out when our dog barked at her child who ran past for about the third time. After a bad experience with children as a puppy, our small dog is very scared of kids and will bark when approached by them. It's worth noting he was on a lead at all times, I held him whenever he barked and we were seated near no children, with only another table of adults nearby. There isn't much I can do to control someone else's child pottering round a pub and coming near my dog, that should be the mother's responsibility. After apologising for him barking (although the child was unphased, as it was the previous two times) the "mother" let out a mouthful of abuse, before the drunk old men at the bar in the early afternoon gave their two pence too. It was quite intimidating for a group of people, including comments from the previously friendly waitress, to suddenly be shouting things over to our table. We asked for the bill and left shortly after feeling a bit shook up tbh. Wouldn't be visiting again anyway but wouldn't recommend to anyone who has a dog that may bark as you will be mobbed by locals.
