Family of four, just returned from having Christmas Lunch, what a disaster. Prawn Cocktail with minimal dressing and hard bread. Brick Hard Brussel sprouts and carrots. Sliver of gravy had to ask for a gravy jug. Look warm meal.Sweet was a small Crumble and Custard. Custard served up in a tiny gravy jug, about 1.5” of custard in this tiny jug. Staff were great , food awful. All for £55 a head. Shocking.

£11.49 for 2 main course, great value and tastes great. 😋

Lovely Christmas meal with great company.

This is run well it’s a nice pub staff are really welcoming and nice can’t do enough for you there is a guy who works there he is a laugh a minute keep it up guys it’s changed since I was last there some women who I think was a manager seemed a bit lazy and spent most of the time on her ( I think it’s a her) phone this visit was right up there food is really nice

The nicest restaurant I've been to in a while. Ann welcomed us as if an old family member came to visit. Really wonderful :)

When they want to shut they try and force you out the pub , rude and lie about the time they shut don’t bother going here don’t deserve any customers food is terrible aswell

I took my mother and good lady for Sunday roast today, the service was terrible with an attitude and the 3 roast dinners were the worst we’ve had. Roast potatoes were soggy, parsnips burnt to a crisp and hardly any gravy. Carrots were hard too but the peas were cooked to a t… Poor show. Nearly £40 for just the food. Stay away for Christmas dinner, mine was brutal.

It's a Brewers Fair, basic food but good value, especially considering the proximity to Edinburgh. The breakfasts were great for the money, we had one evening meal which was pleasant but exactly what you'd expect. Staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Especially Sam, who went out of his way to give us advice for our trip, he was a really great guy who was a frequent point of contact throughout our stay. He single handidly made an average restaurant good and is a credit to the restaurant! Cheers Sam 👍

I visited the Queens Crossing Brewers Fayre for the first time on Wednesday 2nd October 2024 for dinner. It is a very homely and welcoming restaurant, and I was warmly greeted by James on arrival. Service was fast and, when the food arrived it was fresh, hot and served with care. James was very attentive and personable throughout and had good chat and humour with many of the guests which helps create that up-beat vibe. Certainly, a restaurant I would return to if in the area. It is a well-run restaurant by Lauren, James and the team.

We had dinner here tonight and the food was so excellent but what really made our night was James. He was absolutely fantastic! What a lovely man and definitely made us want to return. X

Went into Queens crossing for lunch. Food was great and james and his staff where great. Had a very enjoyable lunch.

Gave this establishment 3 stars for each category for the simple fact that I have never actually been there so thought it fair to score slightly above half .... I was at Ronald McDonald's next to it which is likely more expensive these days than a nice bar/pub lunch meal and if asked would have gave it a decent 2 or 1 which I think is fair .....🤔😉

Usual menu choices as per other similarly named establishments. It has toilets at either end of the premises, but one of them was locked for some reason.

Staying at premier inn, had a few drinks with customers before going to Scott’s (for a very nice meal) back at 10.15pm with customers to find it closed… does state 11pm so poor…

We went here at the end of August for a birthday dinner, and James and his team were great. Very welcoming and went above and beyond for us when bringing out the cake. Was very much appreciated. James is an asset to the restaurant, and gives the best service with laughs galore. Thanks for making our night great 👍

The beef steak was dry. The service is poor. When removing the plates from the table, one of the employees dropped a fork on my shirt. the waiter saw this and left. now the dirty stain remains forever, it is impossible to wash it off. 60 euros can be thrown in the trash.

Family meal 5 off us , on 11 / 8 / 24 at 12.30 . From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Jamie he was friendly with great customer service . All the staff work effectively and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was lovely . We will all be back and are looking forward to our next visit 😀 100 %

Visited Queensferry crossing recently and experienced the nicest customer service we’ve had in a long time. James served us throughout the day and couldn’t have been more personable and more attentive despite dealing with other customers at the same time. Food was fresh and hot. Circumstances have meant we haven’t been there for some time but we will definitely be returning more regularly after this experience.

Normal point. You can eat enough.

Lovely place to eat, we had a continental breakfast plenty to eat, brilliant customer service

Most of the staff were polite and courteous, with the exception of the man on the desk when we arrived (seemed as though he had a long day). Food was OK, just what you expect from these establishments. There is 3 hours free parking for people using the restaurant (log your reg when you enter). Toilets are available at both ends. Lady behind the bar taking orders really saved the score on this place.

Massive thankyou to James and the team for accommodating us on a busy night, with two weary children, having just landed from the airport after a long days journey and still a drive ahead. James in particular got us fed and watered before we headed North on the next leg of our journey- the service was friendly, warm and really helpful. Thankyou again.

I ate here on the evening as I was staying in the hotel next door, service was really good and the food was to a good standard. Breakfast in the morning was also good with plenty of choice, cooked good was buffet style, worth going for the meal deal when staying.

Good breakfast at decent price pitty about toaster takes about 10 minutes to toast so if busy best to avoid toaster

We have met here a few times for a catch up, good selection of wines, spirits and coffees are refillable and free parking. Staff friendly and a good atmosphere, however on this occassion after a very nice night a man at the bar (I think was drunk and a local) made a derogatory comment to our party which left a bad feeling to the night and we left not in the same mood we did when we left our table. It is onlying this situation which caused me to give a lower rating as we have been before and had a lovely night rite till we left and got into our cars.

Just want to say I stayed here for 1 week and Tamsin on the bar is an absolute star! Really pretty and kindhearted!!! such a lovely woman ⭐️Very welcoming and goes the extra mile.. food was ace and they have just had a brand new menu!

The young female member of staff was clearly miserable in her job! No manners what so ever! Made us not want to spend anymore money at the establishment. What ever happened to greet people with a smile! no please or Thank you! We looking forward to spending longer there but felt so disrespectd So we left and took our business elsewhere!

Great food lovely very friendly

Off to a bad start as the female (Approx 20yr old ginger hair) who sat us to our table had a bad attitude and wasn't helpful at all. Staff member who took out order at bar and brought the food was nice and helpful. Food was under cooked and seemed to of been sitting on the pass for too long. My steak was under cooked and was clearly the end piece off a rump steak that shouldn't of been used, as had large bit of sinue right in middle so wasn't much to eat from it at all . No member of staff came around to check on how things were, was if as soon as food was out they didn't care.. definitely won't be back.

It's convenient for the adjacent Premier Inn. Food was much better than I had expected.

Staff don't seem to smile smile much They start to get ready for the breakfast service at round 8pm which makes you feel not very welcome. Can't seem to order food after 8.30 and bar closing time seems to change each day. Last orders any time from 9 to 10? Don't seem a happy place.

Unplanned stop for lunch, food was really good, good value for money. Restaurant was empty, only another two customers. Staff weren’t very welcoming but did their job.

Feels a bit run down, but perfectly fine for the price picture. They get three stars because of the excellent vegan burger. The breakfast was okay. However, they played very loud on the radio in the morning, it was annoying.

I was here today for lunch with four work colleauges. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming which was mainly due to the two lovely staff serving us. Our meals were great and I can't wait to go back to try the other dishes that my colleagues had. :-) 16/5/24 I was looking forward to a lovely meal with work colleagues here but was very disappointed with the creamy chicken and pulled ham pie. It was dry and very stodgy ,no creaminess, the mash was dry as well. I ended up adding 3 sachets of mayonnaise to pie and tomato sauce to mash. 2 of my colleagues experienced the same. Women's toilets could do with a good clean, probably need updated everything really tired. Apart from that had good time.

Really nice selection of food and drink

The service was unbelievable! Unbelievably bad! Never seen such inept staff. Food took ages to come, plates took ages to clear, I could go on. This was by a mile the worst Brewers Fayre I’ve been to!

Food was luke warm, steaks were still mooing, fish was covered in grease

It has been some time since our last visit here, pleasantly pleased when the Fries, Burger & Coffee all arrived Hot ! What a difference on our last visit these were look warm at best, servers were pleasant and helpful (I can never work the screens) well done all.

Never Again. I’ve been to a few Brewers Fayre and visited this one a few times prior to covid where the bar staff were friendly, place looked clean but this visit was by far the worst ever. Shown to our seat by a member of staff that showed no interest in customer care. As we Ordered at the bar, the female made us feel as if it was a chore! Meals arrived and one of the roast beef was inedible, it wasn’t cooked through. Will never be back.

Evening meal OK but medium steak it certainly was not. Brekki spoilt by water on plate with poached eggs. Doesn't take alot to wipe the plate. Also pet hate is deep fried black pudding. Not a lot to dry fry for crispy finish.

Nice clean place staff, friendley helpful. hair dryer kept cutting out, when in use repoted to staff . would use again very handy for Edinburgh by car dont no what public transport is like from there could be a little bit out .if you dont have car

Possibly the worst breakfast, sausage undercooked, scrambled eggs were swimming in water are barely cooked. Toasters that took 5 mins to heat up. Not worth the money at all

We booked a table through Google on 18/12/23 and arrived to find notices on the window that the restaurant was open to Premier Inn residents only. Bookings shouldn't be accepted unless they can be honoured. Our group won't waste our time booking a table at the Brewer's Fayre in future.

Very good food but renovations taking place so very noisy and choice of drinks poor.

Disappointed with the food. Yes I know it's low budget but the spicy wings for starters were only warm, not hot. Had chicken salad for mains and the croutons were stale whilst the avocado had already started to turn brown. Partner had a side of fries which again were only warm and not hot. Thankfully a maccies near by for brekkie

Big let down from other brewers fayre pubs

We waited 1 hour for starters and then 40 mins more for main. Food is ordinary

So disappointed that they could not honour a large booking for breakfast this morning and when turn up on the day they say they can't take us. Clearly happy to throw away profits.

Sometimes you have to wait for a table , depends. Nice simple menu with a good selection of drinks. Quite a quiet easy place to sit in. Staff are friendly and always polite. I'd recommend booking a table in advance it's easily done , some tables have sockets so that's good for tablets for kids etc

Reasonably priced but food not great . Had the fish chips and mushy peas . Peas were solid , chips soft and not sure if the fish was even haddock . Looking at some of the other meals coming out I wasn't that impressed . Hope the breakfast is better

Decent food and drinks and very friendly and helpful staff

Excellent value for money. Staff really jolly and lovely. Served fast. Good came fast. Would visit here again. - in particular the Manager dealt with a couple who’s complaints were exaggerated- clearly born wingers after something for free - very patiently and with the utmost grace.

There were only 2 front of house staff working when we went in, and what a great job they were doing. Incredible effort from both of them as it was really busy and yet service was 110%. Food was very good too.

Nice enough place with pleasant staff and good food, but shared parking with the motel next door makes it almost impossible to get parked at times.

The staff are always friendly and helpful even when it's busy. The food is reasonably priced, and it's typical good quality pub food—finally plenty of choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Thanks to Sylia and James for the 5-star service. Recommended.

The service was the best thing about this restaurant and that was very slow but friendly enough. The food was very poor even with low expectations and the atmosphere was non existent.

Better than normal service and interaction

As soon as we walked in was made to feel we shouldn’t be there! Mia, looked me up & down when I asked for a table for 2! Just sit there I will clean table & bring more cutlery! We will just sit at the clean table for 4 that’s empty, thanks! Ordered Sunday roast, went for a vape, came back to dinner sitting on table. Not a problem, we decided to go out for a vape. The meal itself was ok, had to ask for the gravy pot. “Here’s your gravy!” I know it’s cheap & cheerful & tips make up their wage’s, but we ate our meal & left! Normally we would have sweets & drink’s. Staff look like they would rather be elsewhere where.
