Really excellent lunch today. All home cooked. Very friendly team.

We have been staying in Stokenham for a week and have eaten here three times! Great, old fashioned, traditional village pub! What we call a proper pub! Very hard to come by these days. The food is delicious and fresh, not like a lot of pretentious pubs these days serving fancy restaurant food. Nothing wrong with that, but when we want it we'll go to a restaurant! It has very traditional, hearty and homecooked fayre, just like pubs used to serve. Just recovering from a very filling Sunday lunch.Thank you it was delicious. We will definitely return if we're in the area again

Great village pub, dog friendly, honest good food, varied menu, something for all tastes, generous servings, fair price, no pretentious rubbish here. Brilliant atmosphere, fabulous beer garden, very pretty and immaculate, good range of ciders and beers. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Don't miss out on this one.

Me and my wife visited Queens Arms today for lunch, having seen it signposted on A379 to Torcross. What a hidden gem. Very friendly staff and great food at a reasonable price, what more can you ask. Lovely little country pub, where we were made to feel very welcome.

As someone from Sussex who’s seen all our country pubs turned into contemporary gastro eateries for DFLs, this pub has everything I crave! Friendly locals, great beer, traditional decor and atmosphere, no ‘have you booked’ as soon as you walk in the door and excellent traditional pub food. We went several times during our holiday and I hope it stays the same forever!

A really very good place to eat IF you are prepared to wait a very long time. We are here on a Tuesday night, arriving at around 6:15pm. It was fairly busy so we could only find seating outside in the garden. Having ordered food at 6:20pm we settled down in the beer garden. By 7:20pm our food still hadn't come and I had to ask if our order was being prepared. I was told it was in the queue and hadn't been forgotten. We were eventually served an hour and a half after ordering. This wouldn't have been too problematic if we had been informed of the wait time when we ordered. However we were not and it was a cold evening. I will say the food was actually excellent and the pub was very nice and plenty atmospheric. They have a decent selection of meals which includes vegan options and kids meals too and all are reasonably priced

Nice pub had a chicken and ham pie ..was delicious and a pint of jail ale winning combination waitress staff excellent .

I liked the fact it was still a locals pub whilst making tourists feel welcome. The outside areas are really good and dogs are made very welcome. Pub food was a good standard. Waling distance from the campsite we were on which was another bonus.

A wonderful pub with great food and a beautiful tiered garden. The perfect place to stop for lunch whilst walking the village walk around Slapton Ley and the best thing they are dog friendly too.

Great place for a few drinks and really good food.

Food was bland and seemed to be frozen. Fish and chips was soggy and lacked any real crispy batter. Home made burger was full of gristle. A whole raw onion was placed in the burger with no other salad. Friendly staff and great beer garden. Go here if you want a drink in the sun.

The garden here is beautiful and it is a really lovely place to sit an enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing. I had cod & chips and the fish was soggy.

Fantastic dog friendly village pub. The landlady and locals were great with lovely food and beer. The six of us ate here most nights and wish we had a pub like this where we live. The owners are trying to sell to retire and we just hope whoever takes it on keeps it as it is. Thanks for making our holiday special.

We were staying locally in a holiday home so decided to eat here on our last night. There is a pub car park if you have driven which is a decent size. The pub is dog friendly, indeed when we are with our 3 dogs it seemed like there were more dogs than people in the pub - great stuff! The menu is good with a decent variety of starters, mains and desserts. There is pub WiFi with the code available on the menu. Inside it’s in the tradition of a typical country pub which is lovely. There is a log fire, a decent bar area, more than adequate seating area and access through to a beer garden. The food was lovely, especially the chips, I had the scampi which was great. For dessert I had the baileys cheesecake which was another hit. Wheelchair access is fine, my mother was in a wheelchair and we had no issues; also means buggies should be okay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, we had a great last holiday meal here and good fun. I would recommend calling in if you’re in the area for food or just a drink.

Stopped for a drink and a bite to eat at this charming pub whilst out for a ride on the bikes. Prawn sandwich and traditional ham and tomato sandwiches were fantastic with lots of tasty filling and delicious fresh granary bread. Very friendly staff and lovely sunny bear garden. Great prices too! We will definitely be back!

This is my local and gosh how lucky am I !! Kevin and Sandra are a fabulous couple and gosh they know how to run a country pub!! The staff have been there a long time and are really nice and helpful The food is just lush with homemade pies , fish n chips and the specials board always has something tempting 😊 It gets super busy in the summer so be sure to book a table so as not to be disappointed Thanks to all at the Queens 💪🏻🙏❤️…we locals really appreciate you 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌞

Traditional village pub, busy with visitors and locals alike. After a walk about Slapton, which is a picturesque hamlet enough, we headed to the Queens Arms for dinner, with our two dogs. A warm welcome awaited us, excellent selection of ales/ciders/soft drinks at the bar. Plenty to choose from on the menu, to suit all tastes and unbelievable value considering the quality of food and portion sizes. Service was fast and efficient. The decor is very traditional, though fastidiously polished and sparkling, with a wealth of black and white WWII photos to wonder at, when the area was evacuated.

Lovely quaint village pub that has retained its atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. Really friendly welcome. Pies dishes were full of flavour and large portions of meat.

Be wary, my partner and I were harassed by a clearly deranged badger as we tried to walk home only 50m from the premises, I suggest taking an old action man as a decoy I know I will in the future, stay safe, truely lovely pub though

Stylish country pub, decent selection of real ales. Our meals were fine and a fair price. My rump steak was tasty, free from the dreaded gristle and cooked exactly as requested. Plus friendly staff and large garden for al fresco.

Beautiful inn, really fitting in the small village, lots of choice, nice ales and above all, very friendly staff. There is also a great outdoor terrace, nice on a sunny day.

Lovely vibe of locals and tourists. Good real ale selection. Menu is varied. Burger pattys are good. Chips, fish pie & fish cakes tastes like processed / packet food. 'Baileys cheesecake' Is a frozen icecream cake. That said they serve food almost everyday in peak season.. so hats off to them!

Nice pub friendly atmosphere reasonable prices

We loved this pub so much, we came 3 times in 10 days. 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids and a well behaved dog were all welcome. Food is freshly cooked to order, but doesn't take too long to come, staff were brilliant and welcoming and the pub had a great mix of locals and holidayers. They don't take booking for food,.but evening food served 5.30pm til 8pm.we loved the fish and chips, scampi, chicken bites and local cider. Main course between £12.50 and about £15

Superb village pub in Slapton village. Even better when the landlady/lord recognize your uncle almost as a local! Great no fuss fare, great range of beers on tap. The team here do a great job. Huge beer garden out back, lots of local memorabilia adorn the walls with some focus on early 1940’s when GI’s were stationed here. If you see the spinach and haddock fish cakes (home made) as the special… do get! Delicious!

Gorgeous little pub with amazing outdoor seating in floral secret garden to rear. We were party 4 adult 2 teenagers and dogs are welcome. We had the lasagne x2, gourmet Burger, gammon, steak and Thai green prawn curry. All were devoured and excellent quality we couldn’t manage a dessert. We had water, Pepsi, j2o and three pints lager shandy and was just over the £100 mark but well worth it. Staff were friendly and attentive food was served very quickly even though pub was very busy. Can’t rate this place high enough thank you for a superb last evening guys x

We visited this pub twice whilst on holiday in Stoke Fleming. We absolutely loved it and it was our favourite pub of the holiday. Food was delicious, good value and home cooked. Lovely, cosy friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed looking at all the black and white photos of the village. Highly recommend and child friendly too! We’d definitely visit again.

What a fabulous traditional British pub. Cheerful staff, great food at very reasonable prices. Booking is essential at the moment if eating inside. There is plenty of outdoor seating too. We have already booked to go back..

Absolutely fantastic pub, good beer(dartmoor jail ale) as good a pint as you'll find anywhere, served by a charming and cheerfull mine host. Fish and chips that were exceptionally tasty from a extensive menu. Altogether a brilliant pub with wonderful staff(pity it's three hundred miles from home).

Visited many times over last 28yrs, same landlady, same chef (husband) and always guaranteed excellent choice of home cooking. Always on our to do list when passing. Fabulous friendly pub, reasonable prices.

After reports online I expected much better! Food was not upto much and arguably not much home cooking too...Drinks are quite expensive and average looked after...the inside is a quaint pub with loads of brass like a good old traditional pub... parking limited..

Packed out so you need to book to eat. It has its own little car parkWhich is gold dust in Slapton. Just had a drink of local cider. Great atmosphere and friendly service.
