Queen Of The South Pub in Lambeth

We rented the karaoke room for a teenager’s party and it was great. Good room tucked away w a decent choice of music on a Lucky Voice system. The staff were very helpful with booking arrangements (letting us come early to decorate and bring our own cake) and very helpful and friendly at the party. We had chips and wings which were tasty and love the fried pickles. And the adults had some good cocktails downstairs in the main bar area. It’s a really good spot. Perfect for a party or just a drink. Go there!

Celebration lunch with the family. Eighteen of us. I came here last year for a special Fathers days meal and decided to return. The food is so good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The venue is not big but the food, easy access and presentation makes up for the size. I will definitely be returning.

Really disappointed with the food here. Food took a long time to come. When it did arrive everything was lukewarm. Two of the dishes ordered were oxtail and curry goat. Totally lost for words as I’ve never tasted anything so bad. You couldn’t tell the difference between the two dishes, it looked insipid and had such a strange taste. Not one person in our party enjoyed any of the food. Mac and cheese tasted like it was made from a packet and still the cheese was missing! We left so much of the food untouched. What a waste of nearly £150 so sad as I really was looking forward to supporting this business.

We booked a table and they messed up the booking which can happen so they find us another table about an hour after we arrived, went to the bar to get drinks and were met by a lady with pink hair who was not welcoming at all, kept looking online on how to make the cocktails, fair enough everybody must have a starting point for learning how to make them but thought if you are not sure how to make it, May be ask a colleague for help...she then proceed to make the drinks and kept coughing in her hands and was not washing her hands so germs were all over those glasses and also were 75% ice cubes and then she just harsly drop the drinks in front of us with and left, gave us a bad look and left ...she hadn't brought all the drinks we ordered and she also messed up our food order. The lady with pink hair was not nice and really treated us badly We spoke to the manager and explained that we would like to have our drinks redone because of the germs which she did makes us new drinks which were delicious😋 The manager said he will speak to the lady with pink hair The plus side is that it's a lovely pub and apart from the bad experience with the pink hair lady I will recommend it as it has good vibes 😊

Just had an amazing experience at the queen of the south pub! Such a beaut pub, amazing food and lovely service from everyone especially Lee behind the bar. They also do teacher discount on cocktails!! Thank you again for a lovely afternoon! P.s they also do really fun nights out 🤩❤️
