Que Pasa Tapas bar & Mediterranean Restaurant in Vale of White Horse

It was quiet when we visited on a mid-week lunchtime but so glad we chose this place. The food was delicious, we had the tapas lunch set menu which had all the variety you'd expect (one cold dish and 5 others), all super tasty, authentic and freshly made.

Anywhere that has chicken livers on there menu has to be an authentic Spanish restaurant . They were fantastic and if you are in abingdon try here as a real Spanish restaurant. The home baked torte to finish was a delight not too sweet. Defintely deserves a five star rating

We had tapas with wine and beer. It was the best restaurant meal we have had for a long time. So good that we returned again tonight. The vegetarian tapas are very tasty. So nice to get some yummy vegetarian food! Quite a wide menu, so plenty for everyone to choose. If we lived here we would definitely come every week!

We have been wanting to visit for a long time and finally got booked in. We were welcomed with a smile and shown straight to our table. It’s a lovely family run restaurant which was great to see. The food was delicious and the drinks were fab. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you so much to young girl who served us! De lekkerste witte cava sangria, overheerlijke tonijn en salade. Geweldig plek aan t strand voetjes in het zand, lekkere muziek, vriendelijk personeel, kortom aanrader!

Nice atmosphere . Very attentive service from the girls . Polite and helpful. Drinks excellent although the mahou beer was too gassy and had a growing head. This happens with kegs that are room temperature passing through an undercounted chilling coil rapidly. They need cooling jackets for keg or a cold room. I know what’s cheaper! Food was good quality but the quantity seemed a bit ad hoc. We ordered 4 mixed tapas but the dishes were so small for 4 people to share that we only had one meatball or one bit of cauliflower . The quantity we got for £88 was not acceptable or enough. It felt like what we got would have been perfect for 2. Sorry good but minus one star for measly portions. But we will try again as service was good and the food we got was good. I will return when they itemise the tapas on the menu so you know what you’ll get.

Our son was visiting Abingdon and we wanted to have dinner out and to catch up. Reminded us of some of the bars down side roads in Servile Good home made tapas. Service excellent, will go back.

Went to this Restaurent food was flipping amazing. Chef did extra dippy sauce with the garlic prawns. Every dish was cooked to perfection, Bobby was a perfect host, he is a new friend. The Chef came out for a chat she was lovely. This a local restaurent, fantastic food and service at a very reasonable price id say a bargain.

Wow! What a great restaurant. Fabulous food at a reasonable price. We had the mixed taps for 3 people (£20 each and worth every penny), plenty of food, excellent service. Best meal I've had in Abingdon in years.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Even the coffee at the end was good 😎 The prices are not the cheapest but the food is great and it was a very good family meal. We will for sure return. A nice spot in Abingdon.

The owner was lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. I think in the mixed options on the menu it should be clear how many dishes are in it or make sure you ask. If you are a big eater don’t go for tapas. The food was lovely and we enjoyed each dish. I would say the churros weren’t the best, too hard but that was all.

4 of us went for dinner and the greeting was good, service was good and friendly waiter. however we ordered 4 mixed tapas meal at a total of £88 and got just 10 dishes and one of them was bread, and didn't double up on anything work that one out..I have seen other reviews on here with people moaning about £6 a dish..ours came out at £8.80 Well overpriced and I think because we ordered like this we got less than we should have..for £22 each you must be getting at least 3-4 dishes per person surely? How can it be 2.5.. Sangria was watery.. Won't be going back..too pricey and I think the shortage of dishes was deliberate. Can't recommend at all

Last time we came gave it only 4 stars, this time it gets 5. Think the food was much better. In Spain the tapas has now become to fancy, at Que Pasa they have the basic and original tapas just right, thoroughly enjoyed.

So, start with the positive, it was busy on a Friday night which was good to see and hasn't always been the case since it opened. We have visited fairly regularly. Now for the negatives, Very slow service for tapas Very inexperienced staff, they missed an order, served my second glass of wine in the same dirty glass and dropped a dirty knife on me. The food, ok but has changed, cheap white baguette rather than nice brown rye bread and the halomi Is now fried rather than grilled.

Fantastic, food was excellent, service was outstanding, atmosphere was buzzing as it should be, like it would be in Spain. Prices were very very reasonable. This is family owned and run, it showed right from when we phoned to book. We were treated like family. Owner was laughing and happy, joy was everywhere. Best Tapas ive had in Uk and rivalled the best i have been to in Spain. THANKYOU. A gem of a place, go to place in Oxfordshire.

I'd read the mixed reviews- very sceptical but was I surprised! Fab hosts - made to feel very welcome. Surroundings and ambience - excellent. The food - well what can i say - perfect. We will be back .... soon Xx

The food was very good. We had the Chef's selection which came at a fixed price, but we thought it would have been cheaper to order each part separately - we paid £32 for 6 dishes and some bread. The first half of the meal was accompanied by really loud dance music. Thankfully the internet went down and this stopped. We asked for the bill, which didn't come, so we went to the bar to pay. We were initially charged about £10 more than it should have been. The owner apologised and said that he had mistakenly charged for a large glass of wine instead of a medium. There was no large glass on the menu. The next bill was about £6 overcharged. That was because we were charged for two meat options instead of two vegetarian options. This was a simple bill to calculate. Draw your own conclusions.

Very quiet restaurant on a Sunday Portions small and fairly expensive Most dishes were ok but not amazing. Greek salad was disappointing. Almond cake nice. Service not the best considering very few customers.

Having travelled all over Spain trying different tapas, and in England too, was a bit worried when I tried this restaurant as I had not heard of it, despite being fairly local. I was pleased to see they had not gone overboard on trying to be different with basic Spanish tapas. All the old favourites were there, and done very well. Had a very enjoyable meal, with very good service. Will go again.
