Best sandwich shop in Wantage, and much more than just sandwiches. Loads to choose from, and the combinations of ingredients in their wraps, paninis & baguettes are superb. Something for more traditional British tastes, but loads of exciting World Cuisine choices as well. Really, really good value for money too. Forget overpriced, sterile Subway and support a local business instead.

I used to go to Subways all the time until I read that the tuna they sell contained no fish DNA whatsoever. So thought I'd try here, and it was lovely. Fresh, made to order, very friendly service and will definitely make this my regular takeaway for lunch.

Definitely my favourite place in Wantage. Occasionally come in here for lunch and it's always reliably friendly, excellent food and great variety. The panini are obviously brilliant, but everything else they serve is amazing too. I'd highly recommend the samosas

What an amazing place. Went to the market and found this little place that did a breakfast panini! Just enough for a quick breakfast. Maybe need to order something more for a substantial lunch. Very fresh, tasty and full of flavour. C19 ready and followed. Sitting outside in the sun watching the world go by, what more could you ask for?!

Went in this morning and asked for a bacon baguette. What I got was cold ham on a half stale half soggy baguette along with a watery coffee that was too hot to hold. Thoroughly overpriced at £6.20. Was hoping for something nicer than Greggs/ Costa over the road, but I'll stick to them next time!

This is our new go to eatery in Wantage. It all started when we were moving from Midlands to faringdon. Looking for brunch it popped up on our nearest places and we've never stopped since. Lovely corner shop with fantastic panini's and Oreo milkshake and more... absolutely recommend fez panini as I am vegetarian but other options are great too as my partner recommends. Very helpful friendly team with great customer service and great social distancing in place. Keep up the good work.

Outstanding coffee (latte) My mate and i had two paninis mine was a standard brie and bacon with cranberry, done to perfection latter on i had the crisps they offered (burts crisps) Also very good. Friendly and great service also very well wrapped up Will be back.

Great food, very reasonable prices, and a very friendly and relaxed service! I had the Wantage Club panini, and to say it was delicious is an understatement. It was generously filled, and full of flavour! I also had a Kinder Bueno milkshake was equally as good, and to compliment all of that, I was given a free bag of complimentary jalapeno wedges! 😋 Certainly will return when passing through Wantage again and fancy a quick lunch! 💯

This is a lovely place for a good coffee overlooking the market square but the paninis and wraps are particularly good and the price reasonable.

Staff were friendly and they accept card payment. However the baguette was the worst i’ve ever purchased. The bread was flat and seemed almost stale. Also felt it was over priced at £4 (50p for eating in) with not very much filling. I visit another shop in oxford and get a baguette much cheaper will filling pouring out so this was a let down for me. It was also ridiculously hot inside without even a fan.

I visited the Panini shop a year or so ago and was dissatisfied with my visit, I thought I would try again as you never know! However on this occasion I was less content with my purchase, really slim on fillings and I did not feel it was value for money. Sadly I am all up for ‘eating Local’ but I would not visit again.

Not the best when you see somone make your panini straight after using the till. The panini filling was also rather non existent.

I have lived in Wantage for a few years now but this was our first visit. The seating and decor is basic and the seating area is fairly small but WOW, what a great place for a quick bite. The service is first class, the staff were so polite and made us feel as welcome as if we were good friends. Everything is produced fresh exactly how you want it and with exactly what you want. Everything is lovely and clean and for those interested the "Scores on the doors" (hygiene rating) are a nice big 5. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered a tuna melt and received two toasted pieces of bread with no filling. I asked at the counter and the woman (large) denied that this was a mistake and that I had ordered plain bread. Foolishly I hadn't taken my receipt and so couldn't prove here wrong. I doubt i'll be back, very strange place.

Really nice selection of breads offered and you can combine that with a selection of pre arranged fillings or pick your own. Great service, friendly staff and delicious food. Only market three stars as they didn't have a toilet so I had to go to Costa and use theirs and I had to pay with cash. Otherwise, worth a visit

Nos impresionó la primera vez que fui a la tienda de Panini. Ambos decidimos por un panini y un café con leche. Fue un buen día, así que nos sentamos frente a la pequeña mesa y sillas. Volvimos porque queríamos era una baguette (y estábamos cansados de gregg) y la puerta cerrada. Un niño nos dejó en donde nos esperaba el propietario para volver desde el mercado (era un sábado, así que tenían los mercados de los agricultores pasando). Cuando volví, él había tocado dinero y todo tipo de cosas, poner sus bolsas de provisiones compró, y venía directamente para hacer nuestra comida sin lavarse las manos. Decidimos no conseguir nada porque daba asco que él estaba a punto de tocar nuestra comida sin siquiera interesarse lo suficiente sobre su higiene para limpiar a sí mismo antes de tocar. Nunca volvimos.

Fresh food at a reasonable price and the staff are lovely too. Cannot get enough of the Moroccan chicken and humous; it's so good! Will continue to visit this cute little eatery for my lunch at the weekend.

This is a regular stop on my cycling trips around the area. They are always welcoming. Invariably remember how I take my coffee. Make excellent wraps and bagettes. Very reasonably priced. It is lovely to see a thriving independent coffee shop.

Popped in here instead of the crowded Costa, had a lovely bbq sausage and chicken panini and a cup of earl grey tea, very nice it was too and the owner was very courteous and friendly. I'll come here in future instead of Costa.

Fresh homemade food.Lots of choice but you can mix and make your own flavours.My favourite is flaphel panini! Their homemade honours is fresh and lemony! I go over and over now. At least once a week. Friendly service too.

If I am in Wantage town during my lunch break, I will always go here instead of a sandwich from the supermarkets. The food is freshly prepared to your order. I love that there is a wide choice for vegetarians. The gentleman that serves you is always cheerful. He is happy to "mix it up" for you, if you tell him what you like.Would recommend to anyone who wants something other than a bland sandwich.

Needed a quick brunch whilst heading west! Took a detour to Wantage and drove past the Panini Shop whilst looking for a parking space. Looked good so walked back to it. Glad we did as food and coffee were excellent. Service was great, very friendly and a varied clientele, always a good sign! As was the presence of some German contractors! Clearly enjoying their Turkish coffee and baklavas!

Had an awful experience a few months ago but on the advice of a friend gave it another go and I must say I'm glad I did.Really nice baguette, excellent service and reasonable price.Will def return

Visited the panini shop this week for a tuna panini.The tuna smelt very strong and on opening it up found mould in the mix-God knows how old it was but will never return to try again.Thank goodness I didn't eat it is all I can say...never had this problem with chrissys sarnies, only sorry I thought to have a change!Btw totally recommend chrissys...amazing food and friendly service...unlike the panini shop!

I normally visit this little place once a month ish. Fantastic friendly service, brilliant coffee tastes delicious. Yeah, i go there just for a coffee, or for a nice lunch either way I never go anywhere else.

I've used this place many times for a quick lunch instead of having to wait at other deli's. They have a large selection of filling for your sandwich, baguette or panini and taylor make them to your taste. They also have some delicious ice-cream.If your not in a hurry then you can watch the world go by and sit outside.Oh! Their coffee is also v.good.
