Amazing food and service. A must to go and enjoy.

Extremely disappointed. The service was very slow considering there were only 5 other customers. We waited 10 minutes to have a drink order taken. We decided to order the meat and veg mixed tapas selection. When it came we were served 2 fish/seafood options when we were very clear (and even pointed at on the menu) we only wanted meat and vegetable options. We asked for these to be exchanged, when they came we were once again disappointed by the food. The potatoes were rock hard, the presentation was lacking and overall the taste was not up to scratch. We barely ate any of the food and when the waiter came to clear we explained we did not like the food and it was not as we expected. We explained that the food was poor (giving the example of the potatoes) and we were greeted with and defensive and dismissive attitude from him. We were excited to try this place as it had been on our radar for some time, but it is safe to say we will not be returning.

Great food and wine. Well worth a visit

Me and my partner had a meal here this past Wednesday, we've been several times and always love it, we never manage to get a picture of our food because we enjoy it so much we just tuck in! We always get the mixed tapas so we get a different mix of dishes every time and every single one has been incredible. The service was perfect, we had our drinks topped up without asking, and more dips brought out that the waiter recommended with the dishes we had Love love love it here and will definitely be back

Disappointing. A group of six of us had an evening meal at Que Pasa, and opted for the staff recommended 'Chef selection of mixed tapas' at £20 per person. Unfortunately, in hindsight we'd have been better off choosing our own selection of dishes. Although the 'mixed' selection included 'veg, meat, and fish', the only fish content in the ~10 variably sized bowls served, appeared to be a single bowl of rather uninspiring 'tuna salad mayo with mini breadsticks' between the whole group. In this context, the two bowls of hummus served seemed 'over represented'. Be aware that the mixed selection has no seafood; there is a 'fish & seafood' selection available, so it seems that if a full mixed selection of veg, meat, fish & seafood is wanted for a group of people, self-selecting dishes is required, or having to order the additional dishes following the serving of the mixed tapas selection on top of the £20/person.  We needed to ask for some more cut bread slices, as the two basket serving with didn't really suffice. It was my impression that the amount of food served in the mixed tapas selection was somewhat lacking for the number of people. Staff were very friendly, but in general we were disappointed with the food selection, which didn't appear to be of great value for our group.

As someone who was raised in Spain, I can openly say that this is the best tapas place I’ve had since coming to England. Authentic food, freshly made and the service is outstanding. Is a family owned business and you can feel the lovely atmosphere with great decoration and very tasty food. I loved the pulpo! Thank you for an amazing evening and will highly recommend to anybody who’s looking for a taste of Spain!

We were there at lunchtime during the week and were the only guests. Ordered some tapas. Most were good. But a few don't. Unfortunately the baguette was hard and not really fresh. Overall, not bad but honestly not outstanding either.

Food was lovely, can't dispute that. The only thing that let the experience down was the service. Firstly told no one could make the cocktails. Then was served a beer with no glass. Afterwards the order was wrong and was served fish, when we said we were unable to eat fish. Such a shame. The food was tasty

Really disappointing! When we arrived we were seated quickly but soon realised that there was only 1 person waiting on already 5 tables. We were given our jug of sangria quickly but the waiter kept dropping the ice on the table then placing it back into the jug. The sangria was watery with little fruit and wine. We ordered 6 tapas which we thought was plenty. When they arrived the quality was poor in particular the prawns pil pil and calamari. Both looked like they were frozen from Sainsburys poor quality? Only 4 or 5 pieces of each lacking in flavour and the prawns looked like they had just been cooked in water, no garlic, oil or chilli. The calamari was burnt and looked like it was cooked the day before. The tomato toast was basically bruschetta but the bread wasn’t toasted it was just raw French bread with a few chopped tomatoes. We order a few other things which were always not very nice, the chorizo again seemed to be cooked in tomato water like the prawns- no flavour or seasoning. All in all really poor food, the waiter I could see was trying his hardest to serve what appeared to be around 8 tables by the time we left but I wouldn’t waste you money! Ok service but terrible food.

Lovely staff, really nice tapas and desserts!

This place is a hidden gem and I highly recommend. I have lived in Abingdon for 15 years and have walked/driven past this restaurant many times, but visited only for the first time yesterday with a couple of friends. The food tasted fresh, homemade, authentic and simply delicious at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was very friendly too. A very unassuming place which totally surpassed all expectations. We had a wonderful evening and I will be back again soon!

Wow! What a great restaurant. Fabulous food at a reasonable price. We had the mixed taps for 3 people (£20 each and worth every penny), plenty of food, excellent service. Best meal I've had in Abingdon in years.

A lucky find when visiting Abingdon, my son and I took one look at the facade and said “That looks good”. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. The chicken paella was well worth the wait. If we ever return, Que Pass will be our first choice for food.

Had some excellent Tapas here....a real flavour of Spain. If you love Spanish cuisine it's certainly worth a visit. We had the mixed Tapas Chef's selection and we completely devoured it in no time. All the ample sized dishes were packed full of great authentic flavours. This was a really treat and the service was friendly and relaxed. We shall be back.

The worst coffee ever and the food appeared to be reheated at lunchtime. Very pricey and overall extremely poor value.

Went there by chance as the Thai restaurant was fully booked. Did not regret it, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly.

Fantastic, food was excellent, service was outstanding, atmosphere was buzzing as it should be, like it would be in Spain. Prices were very very reasonable. This is family owned and run, it showed right from when we phoned to book. We were treated like family. Owner was laughing and happy, joy was everywhere. Best Tapas ive had in Uk and rivalled the best i have been to in Spain. THANKYOU. A gem of a place, go to place in Oxfordshire.

I celebrated my daughter's 14th birthday here and I couldn't have found a better place. The food leaves you with a pleasant taste as if you had been to Spain, even better than in many tourist places in Spain. Five-star service, without a doubt a place to enjoy with the family and delicious tapas. I have no idea how many calamari I ordered, because my daughters loved them!!! Lovers of Spanish food, pay it a visit, and you will not regret it. Owners who work in a restaurant themselves, this is a plus. A little Gem in Abingdon.

Great food, great service. Would definitely go again. The only down side is that the music was so loud that you either have to shout or only talk to the closest person. A larger group quickly becomes segregated as people huddle together just to hear each other.

Food was ok. It all felt that it was just the level the chef would accept and no more care had gone into it so a little lacklustre. While we did get enough attention for staff, the manager seemed frustrated when we didn't want to choose the set tapas despite giving no details what that included. The two junior staff were kind and genuine but again seemed to be derided by the manager making it feel unpleasant. So, unfortunately, I won't be back.

Great to have a Spanish option in Abingdon. We had lovely tapas and the place is done out nicely.

Fantastic meal and very convivial hosts. Visited with 2 friends for dinner and received a warm welcome by all the staff. From the initial greeting it was clear we were going to have a good evening and we were not disappointed. One of my friends had his own bar in Spain for a number of years and was very complimentary about the food at Que Pasa. Service was quick but discrete, with advice and recommendations when we wanted it. Will certainly be visiting again.

The food was very tasty. The tapas were in traditionally small portions but were relatively expensive. Value for money is low.

Come to Que Pasa a lot, and have enjoyed every single time. The food is always tasty, and I always come away satisfied!

Great friendly service, fantastic food

Went as a big group last night for a celebration meal, it was our first time there and it was super tasty food, lovely staff and great service, highly recommend to all!

We went on a Saturday around 3.30pm and should have gone with our first instincts. The service was terrible, we had to ask for a drink... The mains dishes were brought out whilst we still had the starters on the table. The Milanese chicken is a favourite and it was sadly, dreadful.. Very salty and deep fried rather than in breadcrumbs, the fries were not fresh. Upon paying the bill we were left with the CC terminal whilst the chef went off to talk to someone else. All the other staff had left the restaurant at this point. Really really disappointed.

One of the best tapas's I've been to. Amazing quality food and great sangria from an independent restaurant with first class customer service. Would recommend to anyone living in Abingdon or further afar.

Delicious food - every dish was perfect. Paella better than some restaurants in Malaga! Gorgeous cocktails. We were a party of 7 and we were looked after very well. One of the staff actually went out in the pouring rain to try and get us a taxi. Will definitely visit again when next in the area.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Amazing food, amazing service and incredible value for money. Clearly labelled vegan options on the menu which I can verify were all delicious and family confirm the non-vegan options were also excellent! Really lovely and friendly staff and quick service. Sadly we are not local but will be making the two hour round trip again just to visit Que Pasa!

The food was tasty but the meat and fish tapas is small. The serivce was terrible, slow and got our order confused a few times, no warmth really. Front of house staff need some training.

The guy was very nice, he know most of the main Spanish dishes. We went there a Saturday. The croquetas and the empanadillas has my Spanish approval 😁 Muy rico!!

This is a gem of a place. Friendly service and a great range of dishes to try. Particular favourites were the meatballs, halloumi and patatas bravas. We’ll definitely be back.

Food was a little disappointing. The cod croquetas tasted of nothing but potato. The mushroom croquetas tasted of nothing but potato. The fried cauliflower was a bit limp and uninspiring. The chorizo was nice, as were the padron peppers. Service was good. Could be very good with a little more attention to detail.

I’ve been here a few times now and have always had delicious food and friendly service. There’s always a nice atmosphere, would recommend a jug of sangria!

Always great food and attentive service

Had a lovely dinner here, seems like a real local gem. The chorizo basically melted in my mouth, and the halloumi was cooked to perfection. The service was great, and the food complimented by delicious wine. I’d highly recommend for anyone in the area looking for a treat.

We went in for some Tapas (the only thing available at lunchtime as dishes like Paella etc were not available for lunch, we were told). The table and the setting was nice, the atmosphere pleasant and the service fairly prompt and friendly. That's about it in terms of positives and plusses. There was a lasting (and rather unpleasant) musty/damp/mouldy smell lingering in the air. In terms of food, the waiter recommended the mixed shared tapas (there were three of us), so we went for it. We also went for some Sangria (the white wine version). The food was fairly tasty, but most of it was deep fried or cooked a bit over - basically the kind of food that endures long fridge life and many a reheating. It was OK and looked good, but nothing to write home about. For those of us less used with greasy, long and deep fried food, it quickly felt pretty heavy on the stomach. The Sangria was a pleasant surprise in terms of taste and the combination of white wine, lemonade and cut oranges managed to go some way towards cutting through the grease and heaviness of the food and made it go down better. But I would say that the 0.75L jug was more than half fulll of ice, so of the £15 charged on it, we probably goi about £10 'worth' of ice. All in all, a bit of an overpriced experience of just under £30 per person for some mediocre food and drink. Sorry we didn't take any photos.

A really enjoyable tapas lunch. Good selection of dishes which were all delicious. Very hospitable, friendly service. Not the warmest of places but there were small heaters close to our table which helped. As it was a Monday lunchtime it was not very busy. We would happily visit again.

Stopped for lunch today and received a warm welcome from the chef. My partner and I both had the lamb Cordero special. It was delicious! We’d love to come back again sometime and explore more of the menu.

Really enjoyed the chefs selection of tapas, it was delicious and felt good value. They were able to cater quite easily for gluten intolerance. Friendly atmosphere too.

Very poor, overpriced tapas. The sangria tasted like squash, I'm honestly not sure if they put any wine in it and the fruit was only apples, oranges and grapes. I don't want to remember how much I paid for it. Patatas bravas was small, not freshly fried and came with a sad portion of sauce. Meatball tapas is £6-8 and you only get 4. There was no depth to the flavour. Tortilla is £5, and you get two measly slices. It was mostly egg, not much potato and rather bland. Chicken al ajillo was an alright portion, but didn't taste that great and the sauce was very watery. Tuna empanadillas tasted like they'd just been defrosted. Sadly, I can't recommend this restaurant.

La comida buena, demasiado cara para unas pocas tapas y postre. Le doy menos estrellas porque el servicio es pésimo, si eres española/andaluza prepárate para oír comentarios fuera de sitio o rancios. No le solté 3 cosas porque estaba en familia sino le hubiera cantado las cuarenta a un camarero, una vergüenza.

Excellent food and excellent service

Had tapas here yesterday and it was absolutely brilliant! Ever dish was lovely, and the cocktails were very good as well. The service was great and didn't push us out/make us feel like we needed to leave, when we were there until after closing. The prawns were very good! It was quite quiet (expected on a weekday) but I didn't feel like it was too quiet. Thanks for a great evening :)

I've eaten there twice now with friends. We've had a variety of tapas dishes which were invariably delicious and very reasonably priced. These were washed down with sangria and we finished off with churros and cafe carajillos. The place wasn't that busy either time so I really hope people start frequenting this place as it's great little addition to the Abingdon food scene.

We have been to Que Pasa many times, by ourselves, with family and with friends, and have always had good food and good service. We have also had takeaway from them and were impressed with the speed, quality and quantity! We recommended to all our friends and love being able to have good quality Spanish tapas in Abingdon!

Lovely tapas in a relaxed setting with music to compliment- the patatas bravas and sauces were delicious. We enjoyed everything we had; meatballs, paprika spiced prawns, garlic mushrooms... For vegetarians and vegans they have a great selection. They were great at advising on what I could have with my food allergies which was really appreciated.

No business need fear this business the place is cold and the reception was equally as frosty when we arrived it was empty and we were informed that the particular table we selected was booked and we were pointed towards the window table for 2. We selected the special on arrival the only additional condiments on offer was vinegar and tomato sauce not an option. The chips were overcooked, the chicken dry and salad not to our taste the best thing was the glass of water. It is warmer in the street than inside this northerly facing restaurant. Much room for improvement.

Chose a tapas for 2. Ended up paying more for this than we would have if we had chosen the exact same items individually from the menu. Food was nice but not worth the price paid. Won't be revisiting unfortunately

Tasty food and really friendly staff!

I hadn’t been to a new restaurant since the 1st lockdown. Purely by chance I walked past Que Pasa in Abingdon and glanced in. I had absolutely no intention of having lunch but it looked so inviting that I looked at the menu and decided to give it a try as it was not too crowded (Omicron and all that). I am delighted that I did. I had an excellent tapas lunch – prawns. sourdough breads, chorizo, red wine, salad all nicely served with a smile and tasted delicious! The restaurant was also very clean and nicely laid out with space between the tables. Heartily recommended (if you like tapas of course!).

El peor restaurante en el que he estado, quizás tendrían un mal día, pero la comida estaba en mal estado, no solamente las croquetas, si no el pollo al ajillo también y los calamares no podían estar peor. A lovely place for a lunch or a glass of wine with friends / family / whoever else =) Amazing food, good wines, and friendly service. We especially loved Pulpo a la Gallega (even better than one we had in Barcelona) and Tarta de Santiago served with a scoop of delicious ice cream. Yummm! P.S. They are also kids friendly and have nice chips!

This was my second time dining here, had a lovely time both times. Cocktails & tapas are delicious. The staff were really friendly and helpful in working out what was safe for me to eat as well with a newly discovered food intolerance issue. Really pretty little restaurant too with a nice atmosphere. Can't wait to go back :)

Absolute disaster, table of 12 and faulty towers springs to mind, dishes came out sporadically with 4 of the table not even getting anything, wrong dishes came out and for what you get its well over priced, never again worst restaurant in a long time

We've been twice now and the food/service has not disappointed us.

First and last time, food was dreadful. It all looked like it was fresh out of the freezer, bland, greasy and lacking in flavour. No atmosphere and staff looked disinterested.

This is the second visit and still fantastic food and friendly service. It's well worth a visit.

Good food but we did have a few problems. A Chicken wing was dropped on the floor when being served to us, but that just seemed to be our lose( 3 wings for the 2 of us). 25 mins to get a drink from when we turned up. Couple more little things but we had a good night.

Amazing lunch at Qué pasa. Lovely and cozy place. Bobby and Amina treat us so well. The selection tapas for two, as you can see on the picture, were really taste and good quantity for the price. Definitely they know what they are doing to mimic the Spanish food with sometimes ingredients from outside Spain. Totally worthy to go there and check for your self. Para la comunidad que habla español. Qué pasa es un restaurante que después de 8 años en Reading acabamos de descubrir, para nuestro gusto supera la media de otros restaurantes. Creo que la calidad precio está equilibrada y además se nota que tratan de ajustarse al sabor español con las limitaciones de estar en Inglaterra. Merece la pena ir decidir por vosotros.Por cierto bebimos cerveza(variedad española) Pero también tienen una gran cantidad de vinos. Así que vea,compare y se ve algo menor pues nada vete al Qué pasa ( a ver que pasa).
