Costa Coffee in Vale of White Horse

In an old building with modern extension in front of a former gaol. Drinks were fine plus cakes. Meant to order small not medium. Near the river.

Shame on you Costa - 23 December, two days before Christmas, place is heaving and you have TWO staff working their ARSES OFF in 11-hour shifts. PAY FOR MORE STAFF TO HELP THEM. DONT BE TIGHT.

Just popped in for a coffee put my order in, said I was sitting inside, was then rudely told, no spare tables so you can't sit in, well I am wondering why with the amount of people sat at the tables which can sit 4 people but they have their laptops working from here, but couldn't see they were drinking anything, takes the pee really so walked out really awful service, won't be going again with that sort of reception 🤬 prefer neros much more polite staff

We were visitors and we truly enjoyed our break in this coffee shop..good food and coffee also very nice staff

Good selection of baguettes , cakes and coffees. Great helpful and polite staff. The coffee shop was very clean. Will return the next time we are in Abingdon.

This Costa is lovely Fairly new, plus outdoor space too We had lunch here on the hotest day of the year as was too hot to stay at home. It was lovely inside as its Air conditioned 😌 Lovely river walks nearby too

Miserable unsmiling member of staff, needs a lesson in customer service. I think the name on his badge was Mario.

Nice and spacious and light. Standard Costa good/drinks. Tends to be quieter than the one right in the centre of town, so nicer!

My favourite coffee...just off the bridge. If weather is good go for a walk by the Thames

Costa in Bridge Street Abingdon on Thames . Very pleasant. All level access, vital as I'm disabled. Friendly staff. Not too busy. Would definitely go there again.

The guy who was working was fantastic, he was friendly, helpful funny. However he was on his own so was rushed of his feet. Still great coffee and vegan sandwich.

Visited during lockdown. Queue was fine and the service was fine. But the coffee itself was rather lack luster. Maybe I've just spoilt myself with my home brew instead. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Currently only take away, but there are benches a cross the road over looking the Thames, nice views in dry weather

Went to Costa Coffee in Bridge Street, Abingdon. We enjoyed a toasted sandwich. Staff were very pleasant but I wish they could understand English better than they do.

This is the best Costa in town, and the best I’ve ever been to. Most of the staff are very obliging and friendly! I always go to this Costa instead of the one in the precinct - and they are also less chaotic and busy with less queues!

More spacious than most Costas that I've been in. Most of the time the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Great air con for the summer months.

Quite a cosy branch near to the town centre. Lovely old building (part of the old jail) and small outside seating area in a courtyard at the back for sunnier days

One of my favourite Costa's it's clean lots of seating and the toilet is clean and smells fresh! Quite unlike most coffee shop toilets!? 😊

Quick service during a very busy time.

This branch is situated on the edge of the town by the bridge and because of being slightly off the main walking route, it's usually easy to find somewhere to sit. Inside it's airy and spacious, with plenty of room for manoeuvring shopping, buggies and wheelchairs. There are comfy sofas as well as more formal wooden chairs and tables - and sockets available for emergency charging. They offer the standard coffee-shop range of food and drinks; I can only vouch for their espressos (hot, strong) but my companions seemed pretty happy with their bacon sandwiches. The toilets are clean.

Came here after a long walk to be served by a very rude man who was shaking his head at customers, loudly announced that he was going for a cigarette. This was In front of the manager as well who was laughing about it.

I prefer this Costa shop, as it's just off the centre of town towards the river. A little quieter. Staff very friendly.

Visited on a very hot and busy day so with only two girls working expected long waiting time but was very pleasantly surprised - service was quick and professional. We both enjoyed our drinks and a visit as a whole. Thank you girls who worked that day!!!

Is a great place, unless you go 1/2 hour before closing, went at just before 6pm, they close at 6.30pm. I don't mind them blocking off half the coffee shop, so they can close down, however what I do mind is them mopping the floor around my feet, made me feel very unwelcome and felt I should leave., didn't even have a wet floor sign up. Is a much better cafe than the one in the market square though!

I particularly like this Costa coffee. The staff are friendly and the environment is modern and more spacious than the Costa in the market place in Abingdon so it feels for relaxing and comfortable especially if you have children with you.

Nice new Costa very smart and clean. service is always good really and this one is not an exception. pleasant atmosphere definitely used by the locals and in a quite good location if you want to go for a walk by the river.
