Excellent meal as always. Friendly staff. Overlooking harbour so good views watching boats coming and going. Had scallops for starter as we always do and they were excellent. I had minute steak which was delicious and husband had sea bream which looked amazing and he said was amazing. Very good cheese board to follow and a bottle of wine. Lovely evening. Highly recommend.

Great food, friendly staff and great service. This time we had a table inside but you can sit outside too. The ambience was great inside the restaurant and we still had nice views of the harbour. A lovely spot to take in all the harbourside comings and goings whilst we enjoyed our meals. We all had fresh fish and seafood dishes and they were all cooked to perfection. Considering it's right on the harbourside the prices were were very reasonable too. We will definitely be going back (soon hopefully!) :)

Ordered a two teas bacon roll and toasted teacake. Had to go to the bar to order which wasn't a problem but then got given the teas milk sugar cutlery etc to take back to the table with no help so took several trips!. Bacon roll was okay . Teacake came butter was so soft was watery and unspreadable. Asked for another butter but she said they are all soft as kitchen hot. Have they no fridge. Teacake was stale and uneatable but didn't complain as you never know what they might do to the next one! Would I eat here again? No. Seems to me you can't take feedback And learn from it!

Went in just before they stopped serving food and the waitress we had serving us was lovely bit we were made to feel rushed and that it was an issue we were ordering food. It took 3 attempts to find a glass that was lipstick mark free because the dishwasher is not working properly (we were told) but to me if you know that’s not working you hand wash them, lipstick marks on glasses is unacceptable but for it to happen 3 times!? We ordered our food half way through my meal I found a hair. I reported it to a waitress (a different one from the beginning) my plate was taken away no apologies or anything just a huff. The man who I presume was the owner/manager came out again no apology and asked what the issue was. I explained I found a hair and described it as he asked. He then said and I quote ‘ what do you want me to do about it?’ I asked for a refund on my food (which was given) but no apology. I asked for the bill which took its time to come and I had to ask a number of times to pay. While I was waiting I heard/observed the same man from before serving someone else at the bar and was asked for a pint the reply they got was ‘no I need to change the barrel and I’ve got lots of others things to do I’ve not done it yet’ which I found rude. Overall I found the staff unprofessional (apart from our initial waitress) which seemed to get worse after the glass incident and inadequate food.

I don't even know how to put my experience with the Quayside Bar & Grill into words. I booked them for my mum's 70th birthday party & they accommodated our every request. NOTHING was too much for this beautiful family owned restaurant. They went over & above. I had a special cake made which I dropped off for them to serve. The cake was completely raw in the middle. The owner Mike got his staff to bake another cake & had it professionally decorated for my mums 70th whilst we all had our meal & saved the day! This was nothing short of SPECTACULAR. They pulled this all off in their busiest business time on a Saturday lunch time. The food was other worldly, not to mention they had alternative milks for coffee & their lattes were delicious. We were a very large party & every single person said they'd come again & recommend your outstanding establishment 👏👏👏 A big thank you 😊

MORE AT Google

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Quayside Bar + Kitchen in Weymouth for the third time, and once again, I was blown away by the exceptional quality of the food and the delightful atmosphere. This restaurant, nestled by the harbour, continues to impress with its delectable dishes, attentive staff, and breathtaking views of the boats passing by in the sun. To start our culinary journey, we decided to indulge in a variety of appetizers. The Portland Crab Cake, plucked from the specials board, was an absolute gem. The succulent crab meat, perfectly seasoned and delicately cooked, was encased in a crispy golden crust, offering a delightful contrast of textures. The dish was elevated by a tangy homemade sauce that complemented the richness of the crab cake, leaving a tantalizing burst of flavours on the palate. Two of our party opted for the Portland Scallops, and they were nothing short of extraordinary. These plump, juicy scallops were seared to perfection, creating a delicate caramelized crust that sealed in their natural sweetness. Each bite was a symphony of buttery richness and oceanic freshness, making it a true delight for seafood enthusiasts. For the adventurous soul among us, the Cornish Mussels were a revelation. Served in a fragrant broth, each mussel was plump, tender, and brimming with the essence of the sea. The broth itself was an aromatic masterpiece, infused with herbs and spices that enhanced the natural flavours of the mussels. It was a starter that left us longing for more, and they eagerly savoured every last drop. Moving on to the mains, we were spoiled for choice with the tantalizing options presented on the specials board. The Fillet of Seabass, delicately perched on a bed of Portland Crab Cake, was a symphony of flavours. The fish, flawlessly cooked to achieve a moist and flaky texture, paired harmoniously with the richness of the crab cake. The tomato butter sauce provided a luscious backdrop, infusing the dish with a burst of tanginess that elevated every bite. The Fillet of Hake, accompanied by a sumptuous fondant potato, was a masterpiece in simplicity. The perfectly cooked fish, tender and flavourful, effortlessly melted in the mouth. The fondant potato, golden and crispy on the outside, revealed a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth interior that was nothing short of heavenly. This dish showcased the expertise of the kitchen, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through. One member of our party opted for the whole Lyme Bay Plaice, a dish that embodied the essence of coastal dining. The delicate flesh of the plaice was expertly grilled, resulting in a dish that boasted a tantalizing smoky flavour. The lemon parsley butter drizzled over the fish added a zesty brightness that beautifully complemented the mild sweetness of the plaice. It was a dish that transported them to the seaside with every delectable bite. Another standout option was the whole Sea Bream, grilled to perfection and accompanied by sundried tomato. The fish, fresh and flaky, had a delicate flavour that was heightened by the smoky notes imparted by the grill. The sundried tomato added a burst of sweetness, infusing the dish with a Mediterranean charm. It was a delightful marriage of flavours that left them craving more. Although only two of us had room for dessert, we were not disappointed. The Biscoff Cheesecake with Vanilla Ice Cream was a sweet revelation. The creamy, velvety cheesecake had a subtle hint of caramelized biscuit that added a delightful crunch. Paired with the smooth, fragrant vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. Beyond the exceptional food, the staff at The Quayside Bar + Kitchen deserves special mention. From the charming owner Roger, who took our order at the bar, to his cheeky son Mike, who added an extra touch of warmth and hospitality, the service was impeccable. Their passion for their craft shone through in every interaction, making us feel like cherished guests throughout the evening.

Visited here on a beautiful summers day. Me and my fiancé both had The ciabattas, they were delicious! It was a great vibe and the staff were friendly, we couldn’t fault any part of the experience. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

Stopped in for a few pints and had a great time! The family who own and operate the pub are super welcoming and add to the comfortable atmosphere. Great garden patio, pool table, dart board, and lots of laughs!

Coffee was excellent as was the tea. Great for sitting outside if the weather is OK.

Standing room only last night. Good atmosphere and good beer. What a dock yard bar should be.
