Excellent! Gorgeous fish and chips and battered haggis. They kindly gave us a complimentary side of fried onion rings. Spotless establishment with a lovely sitting area. Amazing Scottish hospitality, they were lovely and we would totally recommend. We have tried a few fish and chip shops from Oban to Fort William and been disappointed. On our last night we discovered this lovely place and wished we’d visited sooner! Thank you to the lovely staff. Worth a visit !!

We had the brilliant delivery service to our holiday cottage. Best haddock and chips we have had for years , delivered promptly, piping hot and at a very reasonable price. Please keep up the fabulous work.

Just wanted a portion of chips after a rainy day of walking in the area. What a great find with friendly staff. We were advised of the wait as our chips were freshly cooked, they arrived in a bag with vinegar portions, salt and wooden cutlery. They were delicious.

Truth be told the restaurant in town was closed so we gave this a chance. I come from a fish town and have super high standards. I was not disappointed by the fish (the chips could use some work) and onion rings here. We opted for the breaded instead of traditional style and bread and it was fantastic. No frills here and simple menu but truly great breaded fish and chips. Nice work.

Staying nearby and used this place twice. The food is good but not cheap. However it’s mostly cooked whilst you wait and it’s nice. I’ve only used takeaway but you can eat in too.

This is nothing special, quite pricey, but that said a reasonable quality chip shop and restaurant. Portion sizes are average and again the quality is OK. we settled for a take out. My kebab supper came to £11.80. A fair portion for the meat was dry and unappetising and served in a wrap, with an indifferent salad, rather than a pitta. The chilli sauce was great, but no lemon juice. Perhaps kebab is out of fashion? I'd leave that alone. Other dishes including fish and chips ordered were again OK. I'm sorry this just doesn't raise much enthusiasm.

We had takeaway from The Quarriers twice on a recent stay in Glencoe, once for fish ‘n’ chips and once for pizza. The food was delicious on both occasions and we would certainly recommend it. It is a touch on the pricey side, but then you are in the middle of nowhere in high tourist season so I guess this is to be expected. That aside, we loved it and would use again.

Really good chip shop, one of the best me and my partner have had in a long time it is a bit preicey but it’s definitely worth the money! Would definitely recommend and I’ll be back in the future when I’m up in glencoe again! Friendly staff also

overall, it is a pretty decent takeaway, but it doesn't have any real competition. the fish is very good though and the pizzas are fairly decent. an added bonus is the delivery to the local places, so I would definitely recommend for overall convenience.

We fancied trying somewhere other than the Hotel on our last night in Highlands and had found Quarriers Kitchen on Google. We weren't disappointed. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back when we visit the Highlands again.

Stopped on route to our air bnb to pick up some dinner. We ate it upon arrival and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Both fish suppers had bones in the fish (I know this can happen, but puts you off your meal straight away). The fish was quite soggy as well and the chips were tasteless. We had asked for salt and vinegar and there was definitely none on it.Quite over priced as well. Two fish and chips, two sides and two cans for over £25. Can get the same in the north of scotland for under £20.Sadly won't try again.

After being told by my partner how I need to try a real Scottish chippy I was not disappointed. We were very glad that they did vegetarian battered sausage. It was amazing and as a former meat eater I could not tell the difference. The portion sizes were great as were the chips and curry sauce. The food was quick, the staff friendly and despite it being quite expensive it was definitely worth it.

Ordered a margarita and a vegetarian and was a bit nervous after the reviews below. But it was lovely. Puffy crispy base that became soft and chewy in the middle. Went back for another couple of pizzas a few nights later.

Went on a wee road trip to Fort William once the lockdown restrictions were eased. I thought I better give this "chippy" another shot. It appears it is under new ownership and has mostly new staff. This is no surprise as the previous staff were very incompetent. Anyway I ordered a fish supper hoping it would be better than the pizza I bought last time. The fish was very flaccid and tasted like it had been frozen and then re heated. The chips were stale and most likely re heated. In conclusion I would recommend eating the grass from the shinty pitch next to this establishment as it will at least be fresh! Covid 19 safety restrictions at the shop were good but Covid - 19 is the least of your worries after eating at this place.

Over £20 for two takeaway fish suppers and I mushy peas, oh and a can of coke. I was expecting the fish to be huge for that price. Nope not at all. Chips were not great either too many little hard chips. Didn't realise how bad it was because it was a takeaway and couldn't be bothered returning but definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone passing through. Oh and charged for the ketchup too.. such a shame because they obviously have no competition. To put in to perspective I could get a delivery for the whole family for less in Edinburgh. I'm sure there is better places to go to instead

Ordered a vegetable pizza To takeaway and was disgusted at the fact that the lady wanted 50p for a garlic dip which should come with a pizza as standard. The pizza was flaccid, undercooked and had zero taste. I often visit Ballachulish and I strongly recommend that you avoid this place at all costs. I’d rather eat my own vomit. AVOID!

Il y a avait 20 personnes et on avait l'impression que le service était au bout de sa vie...Impossible de savoir s'il fallait commander au guichet ou si l'on prenait notre commande à table car en attendant d'être servit (1/2h), on a constaté que c'était à la tête du client...Si vous commandez au guichet (comme vous mangiez sur place ou non), vous devez payer au même moment.Les pizzas n'ont rien d'exceptionnel, l'endroit très petit devient rapidement très bruyant, le personnel n'est clairement pas agréable et n'a aucun sens de la clientèle ou commerçante.Je ne peux pas dire à fuir car pour manger où... donc prenez votre mal en patience... Et si seulement le prix était adapté...

We bought fish suppers, the staple diet in Scotland when you can't or can't be bothered cooking. The fish was coated in a flat, tasteless, flaccid batter that was as undercooked as the chips were. Now, fish and chips is not the most challenging meal to cook, especially if you have a deep fryer, but the chef put no effort into making this a pleasant eating experience. We wouldn't mind so much but the prices are exploitative: we paid just short of £18 for two fish suppers. Pretty poor stuff.

This is a take away or a sit in place. While the sit in area is nothing fancy, the food is excellent. We had pizza and chips. Both of which were freshly made in front of us while we waited. It was the only place in the area that had Pizza and it was delicious. Staff extremely nice and friendly and helpful.

Lovely fresh fish with light batter, generous quantity of chips. Visited as they opened and plenty of space to sit.

Visited in a Friday evening, had a pizza and a portion of fish and chips. The pizza was a meat feast, and there was plenty of meat on it. The fish and chips were fresh and the batter was perfect. The service was good and friendly and they said it would take a bit of time as they were making the fish fresh. If you are in Ballauchish you are not normally in a hurry so the reviews around speed of service are somewhat strange as it is not a fast food type eatery. Will definitely be back the next time we are passing through with my diving buddies.

We read the reviews and still decided to visit, the only fish and chip shop close by and we didn’t believe the other reviews but a long wait time, food wasn’t very tasty and the locals who came in after us got their food before us. So not great. We went to a fish a chip shop in Oban which was half the price and much nicer.

At the first attempt to buy some chips we, the only take-away customers, were ignored by the staff for three minutes and then left. Oddly, they seemed happy to talk to each other and some eat-in Scottish customers. Shockingly, we're English. A while later two of us returned and were, eventually, served. This review is, therefore, based on a single portion of chips but as they are the fundamental product of a chip shop this seems reasonable. The chips were odious - brown (perhaps reheated or very old oil), greasy, and chewy - and the portion, a 'large' at £3.80, far smaller than a 'small' at our usual chip shops in London and on the North Kent Coast. At least this place won't be contributing significantly to the Scottish obesity crisis. Fortunately, the local Co-op is only a few yards away.

Do not waste your time or money going to this establishment. Two pizzas, 40 minute wait for substandard food. I had a piri piri chicken pizza, the chicken was inedible and the rest of it was not much better. This was maybe my third visit and I have said each time my last. Never again will I waste money here. Better going to the coop and taking pizzas home to heat up. Service is very poor as well. Just as well its tourist they rely on as I’m sure the locals know what to expect.

It was our first night in the area last week 5 July and was really looking for good portion of fish & chips, the prices were not cheap, but in a holiday area that can be understood. The shop only opens Friday & Saturday but I assume that is based on costs vs available custom, the downside of that is that most of the food tends to come straight from a freezer to the fryer and that is what is was 3 portions of Haddock where the batter was not fluffy & light, but was difficult to cut because it was hard with most of my party leaving the foods, also the chips were dark and indicated reheating. Not sure if the oil was getting near to requiring changing, but the darkened colour gave that impression.

We went for dinner and were so happy that we did. The service was great and the food was wonderful - we both got the fish and chips. It was within walking distance from where we were staying, which made it convient as well.

The ambience in the Quarriers Kitchen is fun. Our Quorn pizza was tasty (and we were pleased the veggie option existed) but, while the fish was lovely and fresh, the batter was disappointing.

Took ages for anyone to get any food. Orders kept getting mixed up and lots of food was just sitting out getting cold. Once received the food we ordered was nice enough but we got given chicken goujons instead of haddock! Pretty expensive too. Was supposed to be a fast place but have never been anywhere so slow.

Watched the video about this shop was really looking forward to our fish and chips. They were awful fish was undercooked as were the chips and cold. Ended up in the bin a complete waist of money. Complained to Quarriers kitchen but got no reply.

I stopped in Ballachulish on my way back from a meeting I was served by a not very polite woman, she was talking behind the counter about things I dare not say on this review, she seemed very simple as I gave her £20 and got £22 change. When I said I wanted to talk to the manager she sneezed on my pizza! would not recommend!!!!

My husband and I came here twice while we were in Fort William and loved it! It was one of the only places I could get a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese, and it was delicious! The staff was so friendly and brought all the ingredients over to me to make sure I could eat them, which was really appreciated! Thanks for being a great dining experience! :)

Walked into the Quarrier’s Kitchen on a rainy October night—the place was empty. We’d already had dinner at the Laroch restaurant around the corner (excellent) but I’d seen the Quarrier’s Kitchen owner’s YouTube videos on making proper fish & chips. So we decided to have chips for dessert. James the counterman/cook was friendly, up for a chat, and so very hospitable. The chips were first-rate and perfectly cooked. A walk back to our B&B; along Loch Leven while eating hot chips was a treat.

Its a chippy that cooks to order so its crispy & fresh , and yoy may have to wait but hey ho , pizza was good also ,

Stopped in on Sunday night at the end of September for some early dinner, place was quiet but soon got livelier after we arrived, nice atmosphere, cheery staff and nice decor. Haven't visited a proper sit down chippy for quite a while and this was a good example. Scampi and chips was very tasty, and the home made spicy chicken pizza was very good with a nice thin crispy crust. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time we're in the area.

Called in tonight for takeaway and the staff have not got a clue what there are doing. They try to charge me twice, totally unacceptable attitude from the old guy who severd me won't be back

What a great fish and chip shop-delicious!!!There is take away as an option(its cheaper) or you can eat in and enjoy the funky decor-either way you will not be disappointed in this fresh fish!!Really enjoyed our fish dinners and would def go back!

I made a visit to Quarriers Kitchen last week, and wow all I can say was the customer service there was absolutely amazing!! The young girl with blonde hair (I over heard someone calling her Megan I think!) was attentive, friendly and very well mannered and funny, she made sure we were totally comfortable and had a lovely experience, she was also a big fan of our dog Louis!! would 100% recommend anyone not just for the amazing service but the food was wonderful also!!

I was traveling thru Ballachulish and looking for something to eat for dinner. This restaurant offered take away and also possibility to eat in the restaurant. It take around 15 minutes until I get my food. Scampi with chips were good. Only one negative point was that my jacket and my hair smell after exact like a fisch and chips. But to get fast food for a good price, I can recommend this,

Went to this takeaway/cafe early one Saturday evening for takeaway fish and chips. We hoped we'd arrived early enough to beat the rush but unfortunately not. From joining the queue to actually getting our order was a good 30 minutes. The takeaway kitchen also provides the food for the small sit down cafe beside it. The poor staff just looked rushed off their feet.

After a night of fine dining the day before, we were desperate for something to properly get our teeth into. This is a fish and chip shop that does eat in and takeaway. It was awesome. I had fish and chips, my husband had the Braveheart Burger ( comes iwth black pudding) We couldn't fault it. The staff were lovely - a lady came in after us who had a milk, egg and nut allergy. They went out of their way to help her find something she could eat.

My partner and I got pizzas and chips from Quarrier's while camping nearby. Everyone in the shop was extremely friendly and knowledgable with regards to my allergies. And they even had vegan cheese! The food was delicious - perfect amount of vegan cheese on the pizza.

Stayed at a nearby campsite and ate here two nights running. Food was perfect..... fish, chips and pizzas are great and the macaroni cheese was excellent. Staff really friendly from the minute we walked in. Food delivered quickly and piping hot. Would definitely return if up this way again.

A great meal for a large group ,came quickly and everything was yummy. There is a big verity of dishes and children were fed easily with the child portions and half pizzas. The adult “supper” portions were pretty much perfect and pizzas a good size to have a few chips with. The presentation was loverly and the place was warm and clean. I would eat in next time and definitely recommend!

Went in at 6.40 pm left at 7.10 for a take away. Short staffed so orders were all over the place. People ordered before others but were served in different order. Having said that they apologised and when you tasted the Fish & Chips it was quality taste and good value £7.20 for Haddock and chips. Apart from the slow service - excellent food.

The staff were friendly and let us know we would have a wait due to getting an order for 25 fish suppers just before we came in! It was therefore took a while for someone to take our order. This would be my only criticism, a disjointed service between the sit in and take away as it was just all one big jumble. 2 people walked out due to not getting served. We had macaroni, pizza and a fish supper and everyone enjoyed their meal.

The bar behind Quarrier's Kitchen was booked, so I walked over to eat at the kitchen. The fish was oh so yummy. Didn't get chips, instead mozzarella sticks. Yum. I'd definitely eat there again. The staff was also friendly.

We had a nightmare with a cancelled ferry detour that left us struggling for food late in the evening. Rang ahead to say we'd be arriving bang on closing time. The guys made us a great fish & chips and let us stay in to eat it after they had closed for the night. Very kind and did us a huge favour!

Ordered some food at the counter to sit in and took a seat. After 10 minutes the pizza oven caught fire and visibility within the restaurant was down to about 5ft. I then opted to change my order to carry out. After 32 minutes and catching the cashiers attention a couple of times my order was finally delivered. I grabbed a couple of tartar sauces and a portion of mushy peas and made for a local beauty spot to enjoy.

The fish and chips were cooked to order. Absolutely dreadful: small piece of haddock bsdly undercooked. Chips dry and leathery. Plus this is the most expensive f&c; I have ever had in a chippy. There is no choice of fish, haddock only. Believe me, avoid.

Just to give an idea how bad it is, we entered there at 7pm, ordered two plates, left one almost untouched (just tasted it), payed in full, and left to have dinner somewhere else. The price is not that nice when compared to other places and the food is not even fit for pets.

We stumbled across this place whilst touring . We had the Haggis and Black Pudding Suppers. We ate inside. Excellent suppers and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this place

Worst fish and chips ever, sorry to say. No idea whatsoever about making batter, and same with chips. Fish was OK once you got to it,and some of chips tasted fusty. Won't be going back till improvement
