QD Cafe in Great Yarmouth

My nanny and grandad go to this cafe every week and they have nothing but good things to say!! Every single visit has been more than pleasant - hence their weekly return for over a year now! The staff are friendly, the customer service is fantastic, the tea and coffee is nice, the cafe is clean - and more than anything they absoloutely LOVE the scones! Top marks all round :)

The food was hot well cooked and very tasty. In today's world the food service and friendliness of staff was exceptional.

i had by far the most disgusting experience here ive ever had. the staff were nothing but rude to me and called my child who was scared to use the bathroom 'a horrible little boy' because he used the wheelchair accessible one. he is 5. later on i went to order in which i found a toenail in the cherry of my iced bun. it stabbed into me and when i asked why i was told i was lying. never go here. run while you still can.

I am appalled. I walked in receiving multiple dirty looks from staff but ignored it and sat myself and my kids down. After looking around we noticed many cobwebs and dust everywhere, the place was clearly uncared for. A few minutes later I went over to order us all some food only to be refused service and threatened to be kicked out over my “I love Jesus” t-shirt. After a 35minute argument with this woman I finally got my food. After receiving the food I found out that my 7yr old boys chicken was completely raw and there were many strands of hair on my plate. My 17yr old daughter took a bite of her burger only to spit it out over something hard in it. I am gagging as I type this, there was a false nail in my daughter’s burger. After sending back the food we decided we had had enough and to go home. My son needed the toilet before we left, I walked him to the stall as he has walking difficulties due to a trip he had at school yesterday. I received more dirty looks but I decided to ignore them (haters gunna hate) my son walked out crying so I decided to have a look, there were multiple stains and faeces all over the toilet. Absolutely disgusting. We left never to return. For your own sake, never come here.

Sorry was the worst lasagna I have ever tasted. Said it was beef but certainly didn't taste like it was.

Cheap nasty tuna fish with no taste and Grit in it in a toasted sandwich. Please use better quality ingredients in your food. Side salad was nice. Should have stuck to that.

Very clean and welcoming. Tables nicely spread out. Good selection of beverages and food, clearly displayed on the wall.

The toilets aren’t public they’re for safe customers ONLY. We are in the middle of a global pandemic so we have guide lines to follow regarding the toilets. To be fair pandemic or not you wouldn’t be able to walk in any other cafes and not buy anything but use their toilets. There is a clear notice saying toilets are for customers only with directions to the nearest public toilets. So why even ask? It’s not about being compassionate it’s about keeping the customers and staff safe.!!!

I have eaten and drunk coffee here several times when we shop at qd. Average price and ok food. Today there were three customers and I waited to be let in. I was being a bit cheeky I was desperate for a wee I explained this and even showed my scar as I have just had a major operation. Sorry customers only was the reply. I politely asked again customers only. I know there in there right I know they don't have to let me use there toilet I was just hoping for a bit of humanity. I guess I should have known better.

I went to the café on the 11/2/2020 got a scone and a milky coffee sat a the back of the café found 2 of the staff a young girl that had just started and a older woman that just started working there being rude and staring in my direction sniggering was not happy people don't go to these places to be insulted if they are there wen I next go in they wont be getting custom from me if nothing is done they will be losing custom from other people

Lovely Cafe was nice&clean,food&drink was very tasty and the staff was very friendly to, def recommend it here *****

Often pop in here for breakfast as they do a lovely cup of coffee and I sometimes have a bacon roll but usually it's scrambled egg on toastwhich is on fresh bread really nice very quick service and the girls are always cheerful and friendly and bring your food over to you.

Went here for a lunch meal with my fiancé and ordered a Jacket potato with Cheese and Coleslaw for myself and a Chicken Mayo baguette for my other half and 2 milkshakes. First the milkshakes, warm, artificial crap! Second the potato, hardly any cheese and the coleslaw must have been the cheapest value coleslaw they could have got and third, my fiancé’s chicken must had been at least 3 days old considering how it tasted. I tried it and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Quorn....... I would say it deserves a 0 but the service from the member of staff that served me was okay so it just scrapes a 1. Horrendous. Avoid and go to Greggs next door.......

Lovely and clean with friendly service it is also great food with plenty of choice - great prices what more do you need there are chairs or benches

Situated in the high street QD stall the cafe smile is well worth a visit. This week my partner and I stopped for a hot snack and piece of cake both of which were very good and excellent value. The filter coffee there is pretty reasonable too so all in all its well worth a visit.

The staff were really rude and grumpy. The cupcakes were going stale. The tables were really unclean. Just not a nice place.

Visited here on business for lunch. The staff are very friendly and professional.I would recommend the Lasagna and Chips, delicious!

At last a pleasant cafe for Gorleston. Excellent filter coffee. Very clean . Decorated to a high standard . Looking forward to trying a breakfast. Very pleasant and friendly staff.

We have been going to this cafe for ages and the food is good value and it has a pleasant atmosphere however it's getting worse. Requesting hot food around 1.30 is met with anger and irritation from the staff who always say "We finish hot food soon!" - "this includes soup. To avoid a clash we instead ask for snack items like sausage rolls and sandwiches but these are often sold out or they refuse to prepare more sandwiches "to avoid waste"! This is lunch time on Saturdays and should be a peak time for service. The attitude of the staff is genuine anger that we are asking for food at 1.30 and they are extremely unhelpful. We used to enjoy going here and liked the food and the cafes in Cherry Tree and Lathams are genuinely helpful if they are out of stock of an item but we are fed up being met with such unnecessary hostility.

Nice cafe in a QD store enjoy a cup of tea and cakes or big or small dinners go before you shop or after,nice clean place staff very nice with homemade cakes and savouries.

I pop in here when I'm shopping in gorleston as it's so easy and the service is quick sometimes just for a coffee or a bacon roll staff always friendly and place spotlessly clean and food good

A good place to go whilst out shopping,average prices not too dear,not cheap either,nicely refurbished,pleasant surroundings,I would go there again.

Fui a café QD para un café ayer y me pareció que había sido reconstruida! Pero había nuevas mesas y sillas nueva máquina de café fresco le pregunté a la camarera y ella que el café era tener New Management, nuevo menú . Sigue siendo 0 pen durante refitt es que sirve un menú limitado por el momento pero daré una ulterior examen cuando el nuevo café es totalmente abierto.

Me pop para el desayuno cuando estoy en personal gorleston son muy amables y hacen lo imposible para ayudar a las personas. La comida es sencilla pero buena y el servicio es excelente. Muy buen lugar encantador y limpio de reuniones para reunirse con los amigos también muy razonable

Bonita taza servida por una muy agradable señora (no su nombre) los precios son muy razonables, pasteles encantador, pero no tuvimos tiempo tenía el desayuno así que no probé ninguna

Very basic but fair value for money. Plenty of seating - OK for a break whilst shopping, especially with elderly or children. Sited in QD shop just behind underwear!!!!

Had a breakfast here one rainy cold Sunday and as I do not eat meat asked if I could just have scrambled eggs with toast and tomatoes and it was heavenly - eggs like your mum makes - on the stove not in the microwave. The bread was delicious and tinned tomatoes hot not like Morrisons when you have to keep sending it back. No more Morrisons for me now.

Situated in the towns largest store is this cafe. The coffee and snacks are well worth the money as is the £1.85 discount breakfast.So for a stop when in Gorleston go to the QD store cafe
