I'll start in order; the food tasted extremely good. The portion sizes are really good, so the amount you pay is reasonable. Because sisig is not on the, "which dishes would you recommend?" I'm going to recommend it here. The service is unmatched. The owner was deeply sorry for my Fiancé and I being placed right between two larger groups, so moved us to a much better location. The rest of the staff we're really good and helpful and had the correct attentiveness, where they were always around to help, yet weren't hovering over your head as you're eating. The atmosphere was amazing, we went on karaoke night and that is extremely fun as everyone is joining in. The embarrassment factor goes very quickly. It was the perfect size for it not to be overcrowded. This place deserves to do well and I wish to keep going in the future.

We celebrated Mother's day in Pyesta, Cheltenham. It was so easy to find a street parking. Spacious restaurant, enough for guests to enjoy the experience 🥰 interior design gave me a wave of nostalgia! The manila girl in me was really happy. Food is 100000/10, tastes like home. The owner is super friendly, she made our experience more memorable. Will definitely come back! Travelling for 1 1/2hrs was worth it.

The food here is really interesting and well done. Staff are lovely, however it did seem that they were understaffed with one waiter on bank holiday weekend serving the entire restaurant for most of the evening. We had mains and a pudding, and this took 3 hours in total, we weren't in a rush so it didn't matter too much, and it seemed the manager joined later in the evening which improved the service. We'll definitely be back for more, so hopefully it'll be a bit quicker next time. It was a shame as the cocktails were also lovely, but we couldn't catch anyone to try and order more.

Pyesta is a must-visit for Filipino cuisine lovers. The atmosphere and authentic dishes made my dining experience unforgettable. Big thanks to the manager for the excellent service. I'll definitely be back for more!

Unfortunately, all the hot food was served cold. It was returned twice on third attempt I was so hungry that I ate the food but again it was tepid. Really sad has I had read and heard such good reviews. The lady who was serving was lovely and tried hard to make things better. I will not be returning.

Food was amazing. My fiancé finally had a taste of Red Horse. And literally love it! He was surprised the 7% alcohol in it though. 🤣 The main reason of going here was for us to try the Halo-Halo in this good sunny weather, and it was worth the trip. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything we ordered which was the sisig, lechon kawali, bbq skewers and the siopao was really amazing. We would definitely visit again. And can’t wait to try more of their menu. My son enjoyed the garlic rice. 😍

We had the most fantastic and fun evening to end a celebratory day. The karaoke was tremendous fun with everyone joining in together, supporting each other and having a great time. It was like being at a truly welcoming and friendly party. The staff are all fantastic, delivering great service and helping everyone to have a good time. Our first time to be there. My partner (english) and our 5 month old daughter went there on mother's day '24. She enjoyed the food to the point that she had everything we ordered (leftover) for takeway. Her mum, nana and sister tasted it...and they enjoyed it too. The staff were very friendly and accomodating..ambiance was rustic and cool. We ordered the chicken adobo, lechon with gravy, calamares, vegetable chopsuey, pork barbecue and to top it up, had halo-halo..for me, the best part is the red horse🤣definitely going back.

Booked for three of us at 6pm on Friday 9/3/24. First ones in ahead of a party of three that hadn’t booked. Place wasn’t ready for service (staff were just starting to set up tables) so we sat at a table by the window. A few minutes later a waitress asked us if we had booked (which we’d already been asked by girl who opened door). She went behind the bar and we were then approached by the manager(?). She told us that the table at which we were sat had been reserved. She showed us to a table that had wooden benches (no cushions) but no chairs. I said I wasn’t fond of benches so could we have a table with chairs. She said all of the tables with chairs had been booked and we’d have to sit here (table with benches). We left. Apart from the party of three that had followed us in, there were only two other people. This place seats 50+ people. There were plenty of empty tables with seats. What was her problem?🤷🏻‍♂️

So went there with my work. Didn’t want to drink much and ordered a gin without anything. This is how I like it. The waitress was looking at me and laughed and spoke to a colleague so they both looked at me and laughed. Felt so uncomfortable and obviously won’t go there again. You are rude and acting like 5year olds

My husband and I went in for dinner last night. This was our second visit. They were fairly busy but were greeted and seated immediately. They seemed to be short staffed but they handled it so well. The manager was running around but handled it so professionally. My husband and I have over 50 years in the hospitality industry and you are very lucky to have a manager like that. She even got me to sing karaoke. We will definitely be back.

DON'T FORCE YOUR CUSTOMERS INTO "OPTIONAL" TIPPING: The quality of food is high but so is the price. The thing though that really gets me is that the already fairly expensive bill then includes the additional "optional" guilt gratuity that NO ONE wants to pay but you have to unless you want to be that person to tell their server "actually, I don't want to pay that optional gratuity". If I think the food and service is worthy of a tip then fine but let me decide that. Don't sour the entire experience by forcing your "optional" gratuity cash grab on me. I liked the place but wouldn't recommend it to anyone till I can go to a meal without having to go through the awkward conversation of refusing a tip Ive been forced into.

Authentic and delicious Filipino food. Great service and a friendly, colourful vibe. The menu is well catered for the Western pallete while also impressing my Filipina asawa. We will definitely come back again next time we're in 'Nam. Salamat po!

We had a wonderful lunch at Pyesta today. The food and service was fantastic and Portia the owner was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend it and will most certainly be back.

To celebrate our wedding anniversary we thought we try Filipino cuisine as we never tried it before and I must say we absolutely loved it! The food was outstanding and we were looked after very well. Everything we ordered had a unique taste and no two dishes were the same. Thank you Pyesta for making our anniversary more special. We will be back soon but with this time with our children!

I've had a lot of good food in my life. This was the best. I've had many great experiences in restaurants. This was the best. The food, atmosphere, and service is all absolutely incredible here. The portions are generous, the food is perfect, and the staff are so friendly. I feel embarrassed to have lived a short walk away from here and never visited; every bite of this meal was beautiful and I can't wait to come and visit again Whilst it was all perfect, a particular standout would have to be the desert we had; the buko pandan was phenomenal. I cannot recommend Pyesta enough! The staff make you feel so welcome from the moment you walk in and you will no doubt be leaving with a smile on your face and a full stomach.

Birthday dinner, a new place to treat my hubby. Despite email, ringing on the day to confirm and during the meal - no 'surprise' brownie with a candle - despite spending over £100. Just a little thing I know, but I could have brought my own if they hadn't said they could provide. They also forgot 1 persons main .... just not on the ball

We took a trip to spend a day at the cotswolds. Coming from castle combe we decided to make a stop. To have lunch on our way to bourton on water. We found this place on google and it was amazing. The food, the atmosphere, and the service was great. The owner was really accomodating to every customer and even more to our young kids. The taste of the sisig and the bicol express was really authentic and reminded me of home. I highly recommend this place. Cant wait to come back soon.

It's taken me a while to review here but the fact I still remember to review here showcases how I will always remember this place. We booked for my fiance's birthday and they did not fail to surpass flavour explosion. It was incredible! Our host was so amazing and personable and honestly this is one of the best restaurants in Cheltenham. The food, drinks is a guaranteed ticket to flavour heaven. Pyesta is such a great place to go for some real Authentic Filipino food, and they’re dog friendly!!! 🐶 The staff are really helpful with recommendations and super welcoming. The food at pyesta is great! My favourite is the Letchon Kawali (pork belly) or the pork Liempo. If you are wanting to try as many dishes as possible I would definitely recommend getting multiple small plates for your table. If the food wasn’t enough of a reason to go to pyesta, they have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights! The vibe is great and even if you’re not a singer or everyone genuinely seems to have fun!!

The interior was good The service was excellent! The food was also great, i recommend the lechon kawalii and fried siomai! Although the liempo was disappointing but all the rest was impressive Definitely will recommend to others and most definitely dine again.

Visited Cheltenham as part of my sister's birthday, but will definitely be coming back just for this restaurant, the food was amazing, the service was great, they made us feel welcome and they were very accommodating to some of the changes to our plans

We happened to book a table on a Saturday night, without realising that this is their regular karaoke night! Initially, we were planning to finish our meal and go before the singing started - but this wasn’t traditional ‘mic on a stage’ - with the whole restaurant joining in and singing along! The atmosphere was electric and everyone was super friendly! The food and service was great too.

Food was delicious but portions were very generous so would maybe order less next time. Traditional Filipino food. Staff were also so attentive and friendly and really lovely. Look forward to coming back again soon 😊

Absolutely amazing food and such a great atmosphere! The staff were amazing, helpful when deciding dishes and always attentive to when you want another drink. The portions are great for sharing, but might be a little big for one person - we ended up ordering a bunch of small plates rather than main courses. The atmosphere for karaoke was just amazing as well - it really made our night and we're planning on back as much as we can! I'd recommend getting a table for 8:30pm if you wanted to eat and stay for the karaoke, as a few people were turned away at the door as there were no tables or seats left.

Best place to eat in Cheltenham. I have tried most of the menu on my multiple visits, including some of the specials. I have never been disappointed, the food is so delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Overall one of the best places/environments to spend time in.

This is the place for crispy pork and banana ketchup! My favourite is the aubergine salad and the authentic deserts.

It was a karaoke night when we came a bit loud but fun. Food is good enjoy it.

I was really excited to try this place, but it was a bit of a disappointment. It was not busy at all but we waited almost half an hour for our food. What put me off was a horrible "sweaty and old" aftertaste that pork left me with. It was gross the worst kind of pork I've ever had! Soup with dumplings was ok, very bland, vegetables were undercooked. Girl serving us was kind but could be a bit more collaborative. Portions were not very generous for the price, especially since rice has to be ordered separately.

Everything is perfect except food (not everything but most of) need to cook in less salt in it, I had to leave my food because of too much salt in both dishes it felt like I was eating salt. Also food portions are small for its prices. Must go if you are an explorer and don't mind testing new flavours

First time visit. Certainly will not be the last. Outstanding service and excellent food. To have someone come to our table and ask if it was our first visit and then create recommendations was a refreshing change. Faultless 👍👍

First time at the restaurant yesterday with a friend. The staff were friendly and helpful, describing the menu with suggestions. We order a starter each and a main with rice – all came in a timely manner, however the quality of the food was very poor. Mine was a Kare Kare with crispy pork which was inedible as the pork was very dry and tough with a tasteless peanut sauce. My friend had the Bulalo broth which was bland and very fatty leaving a coating of fat in the mouth. We both had rice – steamed and java and these were well prepared and tasty. Overall the standard was poor and is not somewhere to which we will return.

I went here with a group of six (we made a booking a few days before) and everything we ordered was so good! I had the pork lumpia and the chicken adobo with garlic rice and it was so flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly. Our waitress also provided insight into how much food we should order. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend eating here if you're looking for some comfort food

I went there for the first time last night, and it was packed! Quite rightly so too, it's nice to see something different. There were 2 large groups, which made the atmosphere uncomfortably loud, but can't be helped I suppose. The service was attentive and friendly, but not rushed or involved - perfect. (Note 10% sc is included in the bill) The food was delicious, and clearly made fresh. The squid was very slightly overcooked for my liking (a touch rubbery, but that was my personal view, it might be just right for others). I had the chicken Sigi, which was moreish and I was very pleased with my choice. Having said that, I was left with a very strong aftertaste, which the lovehearts (😍) with the bill didn't quash. I'd go back, though, and noticed that they have a children's English menu, so we could go as a family.

Great little place for a night out! Yummy food but sadly the waiter forgot a part of our order & the kitchen had then closed. Was a bit disappointed but didn't spoil the fun singing Karaoke. Great night had by all!

Fortunately the staff at Pyesta were able to accommodate our table of three as we walked in on a Saturday evening without a booking … fortunately because the food and service were sublime. There is a variety of food which is a little different to other choices in Cheltenham which is a welcome change. Our host was super friendly and knowledgable and suggested various dishes from the menu and portion sizes. There was a good variety of dishes with sweet notes and very savoury and garlicky. We’ll certainly be going back to try the rest of the menu

Just a quick review as I can't say much new. We were in Cheltenham for a couple of nights. Have not tried Filipino food before. Glad we did. It's an informal place which had a very chilled atmoshere whcih as just what we were after. Staff are lovely. Genuine, personable and happy/keen to talk about the food (I'm sure they get a lot of questions from clueless punters like us). My wife had chicken adobo which I tried - it's got a (slightly) sweet and sour thing going on. Really good. I had the pork Kare Kare. Staff advised to have it with the shrimp paste as it can be bland without. It's in a peanut sauce which is quite rich (mine perhaps had a bit too much sauce so I couldn't see anything else). The shrimp paste is basically quite salty and does balance well with the peanut sauce. Generous amount of pork belly, auberine bok choi and green beans in it so it's a whole meal (with a bit of rice). I enjoyed it a lot. It's a big enough portion to share so next time I'd probably order this to share and then have a few more of the small plates to try out more things. We also had the chicken skewers which are not as big as some guest photos suggest, but OK for a starter and very tasty. Also had some vegatable lumpia (like a spring roll). These were superb - light crispy batter and a very fresh vegetable filling. Both these small plates came with a dipping sauce which is soy and vinegar with some red onions. Sounds simple but works well. Would be good if they perhaps had some more vegetable options as sides. Minor nitpick however. Highly recommended

A guaranteed vibrant and friendly welcome at Pyesta 🎉 The food is packed full of flavour and there's something for everyone on the menu. Staff are all very friendly and keen to check everything is okay throughout your visit. Some portion sizes vary between sharing dishes, but the photos on the website menu give a good indication as to what to expect. Overall, a lovely night out - thank you Pyesta!

Pyesta was a joy tonight, lovely atmosphere, chilled music and beautiful décor. Chey explained different dishes and made suggestions. Chey was so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic as was the service. Jovi is funny and approachable. Both made the perfect front of house team and hats off to the kitchen staff. We were truly looked after. My fiancée and I ate at Pyesta for the first time last night. It is located in the building which used to be the Stable, close to the Royal Well Bus Station. Upon entering we were welcomed with smiles by the staff into a bright and airy restaurant area. There is a lovely mural on the wall of a Filipino community, which we thought was a nice touch. We ordered the chicken bbq skewers, mushroom adobo, crispy pata (pork shank), beef shin Kara Kara (in peanut sauce) and garlic rice. The food was superb, served quickly and with great attention by the wait staff, including recommendations on how to pair the accompaniments, such as the shrimp paste with the Kara Kara. The pricing was great for the food that we received, the above and two drinks each came to £85 including service charge. We were very pleased with our experience and will definitely return, perhaps a little later in the evening as we heard that there is table side karaoke from half 8. Highly recommend this restaurant!

First visit tonight. The food was excellent packed with flavour. The restaurant was really good, the atmosphere and service were first rate.

Maybe down to food choices but mine was totally bland and my husband's was good. It's a struggle if you don't eat pork. Bench seat very uncomfortable and it's cold sitting by the door Staff are very helpful Wish I had chosen something better..
