Purple onion pizza & kebab house in Ards

Best kebab i have had in a very long time, garlic nann was a great touch, loaded with proper chicken and beef, plenty if both, hot chilli sauce was flavoured great plenty if it, not mild and not roasting, just rite, found my new spot 😀

Order was late, phoned the restaurant to be told it was on its way, 30 minutes later the food arrived but order wasn’t correct, disappointed overall

Discussing ordered a cheese burger got a bin with patty no cheese no trimmings awful stinking I'm discusted won't give it to my dog

driver was very polite and food was lovely.

£25.00 for a pizza a kebab for delivery I think that is an absolute joke also having to wait over half hour for delivery that's a bit off a joke 25 for two items. Won't b getting or recommending again!!!!!!

Just Eat prices are more expensive than actual shop and also charged £2.50 per item i.e £5 for two items. Extortionate!!

Try the pizza, it’s probably the best pizza in Ards. Have ordered a few times now and the quality has been consistent. Delivered on time if not earlier than expected. Perfect.

We have been loyal customers for quite a few years even though we now expect the order will be wrong, not sure why they never get it quite right but that didn’t put us off, normally a phone call puts it right, but not tonight! We were lied to and spoken to by a very rude person, he was so rude it annoyed me so much that I got in the car and went down to the shop where again the young man continued to give me bad manners! Instead of apologising and trying to build bridges! I didn’t want more food! Just acknowledgement that our order was wrong again and an apology! He told me the owner was away but surprise surprise when I walked in there he was! To be fair they were more surprised than me! I knew he was there and they were lying! Very disappointed, we like the food but won’t use again, Customer Service is key and Purple Onion just doesn’t have it!

Raging, sitting baked and my order was wrong and late.

I ordered two pizzas, one margarita and another barbecue, the margarita did not taste like anything, it was tasteless and dry, the dough was as if it had just been defrosted, and instead of the barbecue they gave me a cheese with mushrooms that was equally tasteless and tasteless, everything I end up in the trash, I will not buy there again

Garlic bread not as good as normal, very little cheese

Although it ran late I would still recommend this restaurant. Food is excellent and keep you up to date as to what is going on.

Quick service and delivery however found the Tikka very very salty and the sausages were hard.

Both kebabs the chicken was horrible and very salty that bad we couldn't eat them

Only reason it was late was because they wer really bust. Delivery guy told me wen he arrived. Normally they r super early

Superb customer service. I couldn't order everything I wanted online, called the shop and was told I could order it all over the phone and pay contactless. That's the kind of service we like! Did miss the house sauce though! 😕 hopefully get it next time!

10" pizza and mixed kebab was delicious.

Food delivered to wrong house after waiting over an hour. Then got told it couldn't have been by a very over sensitive member of staff. Asked to speak to the manager who then said yes the driver confirmed he went to the wrong house. They offered to resend it but given how it was handled I refused it. Waited a week for the refund....another mess. Very poor service which is a shame as we always enjoyed a purple onion. Needless to say won't be using this business again.

Pretty great food, calzones, pizzas & Donner kebab are a go to. Love the chicken nuggets, but they sometimes give me McDonald's nuggets which I find strange for a local take-out to do.

Disappointing kebab, it’s half a naan kebab on the left and a salad filling up the other half of the box.

Absolutely disgusted my daughter had to take my 3 year grandson to out of hours this evening ...... and on way home the child said he was hungry ..... but when my daughter asked for a kids meal she was told she would have to order an adult one as they stop selling kids meals at 10.30 nowhere does it state this and it was 11 o'clock...... I will await a response on this ...... 😡😡

The pizza was cold unfortunately. The chips were roasting tho. So not sure what happened.

Always get the same pizza from here often always lovely & always recommend it to people that ask about it but last nights wasn’t up to scratch at all, Donner meet was pretty much burnt to a crisp & it wasn’t layered how it usually is. Leave the pizzas to the boss man

Don't want to be dramatic but the single worst pizza I've ever had. Pizza base should be thin and crispy. This base was three times thicker than Saturn and most of it uncooked dough. Id 2 slices before binning it. And judging by the thud, it's probably broke floor tiles. Very very poor.

This is the best pizza/kebab shop in Ards. Quality and tasty ingredients. Amazing nan breads and a killer hot chilli sauce. We ordered from them last night and after the order had arrived we realised that we were missing the chips with our kebab. Phoned the restaurant and the owner politely offered to give us the item on our next order. I asked if they could be sent out now and he agreed. When they arrived he had completely re-done the entire kebab order so it was all fresh again. Excellent customer service compared to some others. My only recommendation would be to get a char grill for that proper barbecue taste. It would make my chicken shish even better!!!!

Gorgeous chips and garlic bread, pizza was lovely apart from the salami, we had to take it off our pizzas as it didn’t look or smell good.

I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, ham, mushroom, green peppers and fresh garlic, it was unreal, absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and plenty of toppings! The chips were beautiful and kebab sauce is the best I’ve tasted ❤️ thank you.

Very suspicious 10-15 minutes after I ordered the food arrived at my door. Ordered a chicken and steak kebab, Nan very tough like it was frozen, also very little steak and chicken compared to the mountain of veg. Sauce was very nice though
