Huge fans! If you are in Manchester go eat here! Second time for me and my partner and it’s by far my favourite place to eat! The food is so fresh and tasty, and the cocktails are freshly made. Worth every penny. I highly recommend the garlic chicken and homemade cheesecake. It’s a family business and you can tell love is put into everything from the food to the service. Thank you.

Fantastic meal, had the meat platter for 4 people great value for money. Food tasted fresh and very tasty. Service excellent and our waiter Jose was very friendly but still professional would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back again

We live close by and tried this little gem for the first time today....the steaks were cooked beautifully rare as ordered, which is hard to find these days....so tender and such a rich flavour...the sides were great....then creme brulee like velvet. ..what made the visit perfect was the service we received from all the staff but especially José, very friendly and genuine guy...definitely will be making this a regular spot. Ten out of ten.

Excellent evening spent in this restaurant. Online booking is easy. We ate the Pupa burger as well as the cheese burger. Both are delicious, the meat is generous and well cooked. Everything is topped off with excellent fries. Rioja wine, although unpretentious, is simply delicious and perfect, to be recommended without hesitation. We ate in the upper part of the restaurant. The room is pleasantly furnished, with a view of the lively road. The service is very pleasant and efficient. In particular we really appreciated the service from Daria, at the same time very professional and very friendly. This is still one of the rare restaurants with a very welcoming family atmosphere.

Found this place purely by accident walking the dog a week before. Really friendly staff, even better they are dog friendly. On going into restaurant, only thought that had one floor, we were taken downstairs, which was really nicely laid out. Great food will definitely return.

I did a proposal here and it went accordingly she said yes the staff filmed the occasion for me brought out flowers on cue even got a free bottle to help celebrate our engagement I will recommend this restaurant to all and will be visiting again !!!!big thank you to all the staff here

Food was delicious and the decor made it feel really comfortable. A bit quiet as on a Friday afternoon but service was impeccable.

Busy due to Christmas parties however management did their best to accommodate us as a walk in although in agreement for a shorter time at the table which suited us fine and appreciated the fact this was offered as opposed to being turned away. Fantastic steak - we got on Steak and Wine (Wednesdays or Thursdays - cant remember) which included a glass of wine. I also had the Feta parcels and my partner the Calamari which were both lovely. Otherwise a pretty extensive menu is on offer. Service - great. It is very cosy with tables quite close together however in this environment added to the atmosphere which was a small, quaint and cosy type of vibe. Parking - a bit of a nightmare however where isn't in Manchester? Will definitely return.

Highly recommend this restaurant Food quality was so good, service was exceptional, staff were so friendly and atmosphere was outstanding. Had the Halloumi and Calamari for starters and the chicken skewers and Chicken in cream sauce with bacon and mushroom for mains. So reasonable on price,Its a must visit.

Didn't have a reservation, no problem for the two of us, found a table, great service and amazing char grilled meat feast for two, tasty and freshly prepared, friendly and chatty staff especially Gabriel, so rare these days, can't rate this restaurant highly enough for food, service and value, so glad we found it, 5 star rating so we'll deserved!

OMG this place is unreal. Partner booked for my birthday and I’m dying to go back already. Service was great, sometimes restaurants rush us through courses and it’s not nice but we could go at a leisurely pace. Raspberry mulled wine was delicious and the food was the star of the show. Not. One. Single. Complaint. Perfectly seasoned, meat was tender, so tasty. We had the olives and halloumi to start and I had the lamb supreme with Greek salad on the side, my partner had the sirloin and he said it isn’t often he gets a steak cooked to perfection AND seasoned well. Prices very reasonable as well Thank you to the staff at Pupa for making my birthday super special and we can’t wait to come back!

Was not bad. Regardless of it being the holidays, the staff kept things rolling out quickly. Unfortunately we couldn't get dessert however because they were closing up even though the reservation made online had us think we had the table till later. The uploaded picture is just one of the things we ordered. The meat platter for 2, at least with some of it gone lol. That alone cost under £50. For those on a budget, it'd be best to keep in mind the provided menu has no pricing.

A nice Mediterranean restaurant in Manchester's NQ. Food was alright with adequate portions. A bit expensive considering quality/quantity that is well known regarding Mediterranean food. Service and ambiance were great though.

Food and atmosphere was pretty good. However ordered the tomahawk steak and asked for it medium rare, was barely medium rare in some places and rare-blue in other places….

I was traveling in from America and I have struggled for food in Manchester for over a week. This is some of the best food I have had in my life honestly. Especially recommend the lamb or chicken wings.

Having visited this restaurant during the day when we were part of a cheese experience tour, we were delighted to return for a "proper" meal later in the evening. Staff were all very pleasant, and our meal was delicious, as was the rosé wine from Albania which accompanied it 😋 ❤️

This is a fabulous restaurant. We turned up without a booking but we managed to get a table for two. The young lad who took our order, brought us our food and checked everything was ok was lovely, smiley and very professional. Food was absolutely fantastic - my hubbie and I both had the chicken skewers - and I thought it was a great price. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back. Its a real gem.

Lovely place to eat, great food and top service.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday night at Christmas time. Our son and his girlfriend were joining us and were running late (45 minutes to be exact). At no time were we rushed or pressured by the excellent staff. Instead, we were told, "It was no problem." We ordered the meat plate for 4 and were not disappointed. All the meats were cooked and seasond perfectly, and there was plenty of it, too. We will definitely return.

Amazing place and enjoyed the Steak and Wine deal. Service was top notch with a friendly smile. My recommendation, try their Raspberry Mulled wine when enjoying the Lava Cake. Steak and Wine -> Cake and Wine!!

Really lovely little restaurant. When we arrived there was, apparently a loud, large party downstairs (families, with children playing tag etc round other tables). The staff gave us a choice of tables (we had a reservation) but suggested upstairs for a more relaxed visit. Once we were seated so many people came in who did not have reservations and they gave them the same advice and were ‘happy’ to turn people away rather than them stay and have a negative experience. We felt this was really selfless and quite clearly not just about their takings. The attention from the staff was really polite and the right level of attentiveness. Food was really tasty and, we felt, good value. Would definitely recommend and return

Dined here with good friends who we meet up with once a year. Pupa made this year very memorable. Beautiful food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

Visited for a birthday meal, staff were friendly and gave great service. Blue cheese mushrooms and garlic pitta starters were really tasty. Was a bit of a wait for the mains (2 ribeye steaks) but when they came they were hot and cooked absolutely perfectly. Chocolate lava cake topped the meal off perfectly. Definitely worth a visit!

Awful £124 per person simply there are thefts I am not coming back ever in my life food was very poor insufficient really sad no even deserts included the worst experience in Manchester 😔😔😔😔

The lamb was by far and away the best lamb I’ve had outside of Greece. Absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice and chill, and the rest of the food was really good too.

Me and my wife visited here tonight and we're not disappointed. We had the goats cheese fritters and garlic bread pitta to start and both were fantastic, for mains we shared the meat platter for 2 at £44 2 lamb Chops, chorizo, chickens wings, chicken breast beef and a choice of 2 sides. Absolute meat heaven. We also had the homemade cheesecake with ice cream after reading a review on faceboook describing how good it was and they weren't wrong, stranger I salute you. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Will definitely recommend and come again next time we come to Manchester.

Would definitely recommend. We had the meat sharing platter & it was delicious. Meat was cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced. The service was great and the restaurant was beautiful inside. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the Greek salad, it was just really big chunks of tomatoes. There were tiny crumbs of feta cheese, I mean not even 1 cubes worth, 1 tiny strand of pepper and a couple of slices of cucumber. I would for sure come again! Just wouldn’t order the “Greek salad” 😂

We travelled from Nottingham for a booking made for 7pm, we got there 7.25pm due to parking issues and obscure place restaurent situated. Sadly for us we were turned away saying were late. What else can say but they wasted my time after sayi g have plenty of space. Should have gone Hawksmore as planned.

First time i have ever given a full 5 star review. I have high standards for dood(especcially burgers) but this restauraunt did not dissapoint. Amazing lava cake and drinks. Great restaurant, would definitely recommend.

Definitely go to this place if you want good food! I spent 4 nights in Manchester and was incredibly disappointed with the food overall until my last night when I went here. It’s a little off the busy streets (very good thing) but hidden gem. If you’re a meat eater this is just really great meat, cooked really well and tastes delicious. I also had there dessert and it again showed that everything here is freshly cooked. If I’m back, I’ll be coming back here for sure. Thanks

Honestly blew my expectations out of the water. Nice little setting with a good vibe (not many tables so make a reservation if a weekend). The food really was fantastic and the meat was grilled to perfection. The only question is what I will get next time I come. 6 stars.

Loved this place previously, but this time, within the meat platter, the lamb was not cooked (red inside), and the chicken wings were burnt ( black), so a big part of main meal was not good, they didnt check if it was ok too. Desert chocolate lava was fab. Was told they would take 10% off the bill, when I pointed it out, but they didn't. This experience although it wasn't too busy (16.30,) was disappointing as I raved about it previously

Qué gran hallazgo que solo reservamos en línea una hora antes de la llegada y tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa. El equipamiento era precioso con planta baja y planta baja como el restaurante. El servicio fue excelente y la comida de primera clase. Cuatro de nosotros elegimos diferentes líneas principales y tuvimos los chapuzones para comenzar todo estaba delicioso. Sin duda volvería cuando visitemos Manchester.

Vine aquí con un grupo de colegas de trabajo y su publicidad sugiere que es un bar de tapas, yo sugeriría que es un mediterráneo oriental (como nos enteramos) bar de carne albanesa. Soy un fan del estilo mediterráneo oriental de la comida y este lugar dio en el blanco en todos los platos. Está en el edificio del ya desaparecido restaurante Solata, y ha sido muy bien, pero simplemente renovado. Como fiesta de 20 , no esperaba una gran experiencia, pero salvo un par de esperas entre platos la comida seguía llegando y todo estaba muy bueno, siendo la estrella del espectáculo los 8 Tomahawks que se cocinaron a la perfección. También disfrutamos de un buen vino tinto de la viña familiar, que era grande y redondo y con mucho cuerpo con mucha fruta. ¿Volveré - ciertamente y con muchas ganas.

We had a meal at Pupa, for the first time, for my son's birthday. I will definitely be returning. Everything about the place oozes class. The food is divine. The service is superb. The staff is friendly, attentive and professional. One of the best places in Manchester for fine dining.

Staff are very accommodating and friendly however the whole experience was 3/10 waiting 1hr for the food - the steak and wine was overpriced for a very poor quality. We will not be returning.

very good restaurant, arriving at 4 without reservation we had a table in less than 10 minutes, the team is very friendly and despite a problem transmitting our order to the kitchen, everything is done to have a good time. The only downside may be the volume of the sound system in the basement.

Outstanding, everything about PUPA was amazing. The service and attention the staff gave all customers was great, very attentive without being overpowering. The atmosphere was also lovely, very relaxed and chilled. Finally the food was to die for, the meats were cooked perfectly and spiced to perfection. From the lamb and chicken skewers, to the Mediterranean Rice, it was all amazing. Will definitely be visiting again!

We came to this restaurant by chance and everyone who went there really loved it. Very delicious food, and unbeatable service. Marcos, was the person who helped us, he speaks Spanish so great!!! Without a doubt I would return.

We found this place by chance and went in to ask around. They treated us so well that we decided to stay. We were not disappointed at all and the food was delicious. We started with some starters, croquettes and calamari that were delicious and then each person ordered a dish. Especially the Pupas burger, it was delicious. The atmosphere was very cozy and pleasant and the staff was fantastic, especially Marcos who assisted us in Spanish since our English is not very good. A great professional. Totally recommended.

Booked a table for 2:30pm back on the 20th July for a delightful lunch here at PUPA, and wow, what an experience we had. The restaurant itself doesn’t have much seating, with there only being 5-6 tables with about 4 stools, so i would suggest you book ahead of time. As for the interior design, you’re most certainly made to feel like you’re in the Mediterranean, which is the entire point of the decor, i assume. Sat on the table nearest to the bar, with the lovely server, for whom i can only apologise for forgetting their name, took our order. I ordered their Greek salad for a starter and the brochette de poulet for my main. 15 or so minutes after we placed our order, it soon arrived. The smell of that grilled goodness on that plate, it was hard for it not to play with your appetite by its potency. As for the flavour of the dish? Damn, it was good. The succulence of the chicken and the grilled undertone it carried with it, wow. The Greek salad and the little bits on the plate were a great addition, but the main star of the show was the chicken, easily. The hospitality was fantastic, in addition to the food being fabulous. Our server couldn’t have done enough for us, and i’m so sorry i forgot her name, but she was spectacular, well done, honestly. How would i rate my experience at PUPA? Excellent! Some of the best Mediterranean oriented food i’ve quite possibly ever had. And the service I couldn’t rate any higher than a 10. As for the price, it is expensive for what it is, but you’re paying for the quality and the general experience at the end of the day, and i think it’s worth paying for. 5/5 all day, every day.

Fast service, excellent service, warm welcome

Went with some friends as we hadn’t seen each other for a while. I have to say Pupa is a great place to go; Friendly staff, very attentive and the food is amazing. When we left I had left my house keys without realising. One of the waiters (young lad with curly-ish hair) ran all the way over to us and handed me back the keys, would’ve been a disaster had I not got them back😂 Would definitely visit again

I had phoned to book a table for 8pm. On arriving at the restaurant, although 20 mins early, I was told that there was no booking. I had to wait and there was no point in waiting. I asked if I could speak to someone else and was told that there was no point in doing it. Eventually, someone else came and said that they would get me a place to sit at 8pm. The food was average and definitely overpriced. It took 15 mins to be served water. At the toilets the door couldn’t be closed and the place was dirty. Not a good place to eat out on an evening. Not worth coming back.

The staff were friendly and the food was quick and very tasty. Would recommend to people visiting Manchester wanting some good Mediterranean food with the view of an entertaining/ chaotic pub opposite! They seemed to run functions downstairs but this didn’t delay our service or affect our experience.

Managed to get a last minute booking on their website with my family (2 adults, 3 children). Food was amazing, the steak and lamb skewers were incredible. The meat just fell apart…. Tom our waiter was great and provided friendly and fast service making sure everything was as we wanted (Our smallest child is a bit of a fussy eater). The atmosphere was lovely but not too noisy, enough to provide a good vibe. Would thoroughly recommend as a great place to eat!

We walked in as we were looking for somewhere new to eat - we live in Manchester and we've eaten everywhere!! PUPA exceeds expectation - from the humble outside exterior the cute dining environment. We ordered grilled prawns to share and then we both had a steak, ribeye (rare), sirloin (MR) - the steak was melt in your mouth delicious!! It stands head and shoulders above places like Miller & Carter in steak quality and service! Ioana was an absolute STAR and I'd request her specifically when I visit next- which will be soon. If you want 5* service with beautiful food in a wonderful environment in the heart of Northern Quarter, PUPA is it 🖤

It was our first visit yesterday evening for the 5 of us, we all went in open minded, not knowing what to expect. We walked out a couple of hrs later after a FANTASTIC visit! All the staff were excellent from as soon as we walked through the door, especially our waitress Joana, was so helpful and such a buddle of joy all evening. As for the food, not one of us could find fault with any dish that we had. My stand out was the extremely flavoursome chicken wings, if only they did a half chicken cooked that way, maybe next time it will be added to the menu

We dined yesterday evening and requested the Pupa burger without blue cheese sauce and tomato, the sever said she would ask the kitchen, she came and explained that the kitchen staff would get confused as it was busy so asked if she could choose something that was easier for the staff to do , we ended up with steak which was nice but it begs the question of, why is so complicated to remove the blue cheese sauce and tomato from a burger…. We were also never asked if we had allergies.. the disabled toilet access is also a squeeze at best to get to as there is a table within two feet of the access door for it
