Medo Cafe in Manchester

This place is an absolute pleasure to go to, the owner is so nice and accommodates your every need - he mentioned that you can be as picky you want as everything is freshly made and with whatever ingredients he has available you can truly order essentially anything. The menu is massive and there’s everything from traditional Turkish food to classic brunch and also kebabs. The pricing is good and the food is even better, the owner explains what he used to make the dishes and how best to have them. There’s an amazing homemade hot sauce at the table, which was so good that I had to buy it, would recommend. I got the hummus and pita bread, which was a huge helping and was amazing with the sauce. Would really recommend.

Delicious authentic made Egyptian breakfast full of flavour and the coffee was just perfect! Lots of other options on the menu too Worth a visit!!

We wanted breakfast and kinda had a local wander round. Medo Café is a real gem! We had the Turkish coffee (absolutely beautiful) , hubby had a full English, son had a cheese toastie and I had the 3 egg shakshuka ... It was all fabulous!! Son said he'd try the shakshuka next time because it smelled so good! We all loved the Egyptian herbed sauce and the Cajun salt. Everyone was super friendly and kind. All customers received a warm welcome, whether a regular or a new customer.

First time coming here with my husband and it was amazing! We both got the Medos special breakfast and it was very good. The service was really pleasant and the owner even came to recommend us the best food. We're definitely going back again!

I went when I was 8months pregnant and the food was really good. I was in love with the trukish sausage. Breakfast on a whole was amazing. Also the owner was very friendly and accommodating as my husband had to pray namaaz and the owner let him pray down stairs.

Called in with my husband and teenager while on a trip to Sifters Record shop (we had about half an hour to wait until it opened). The menu was amazing - so many incredible sounding dishes to choose from and the drinks menu was extensive too. The two members of staff were so warm and welcoming and very attentive without being intrusive. The place was spotlessly clean too and they were well on the ball with wiping tables down etc. Now the food was so much more than we expected both portion-wise and the flavours. The chap had made his own salt combo and a sauce/condiment that were unbelievably tasty. The meat had delicious flavours and was so succulent and juicy. It was all fresh, the salad was tasty too. We will definitely return and possibly even make a special three hour round trip especially to go!

What a gem. Went in for an early lunch and tried the Alexandrian Beef Liver Sandwich. Incredibly tasty Looks like the breakfast should be good too. Will return

best kept secret in Manchester as far as sandwiches go...Absolutely delicious. Amazing staff and very fair prices for portion sizes / taste / quality. Couldn't speak higher and particularly recommend the tornado Sandwich!

Very hospitable customer service, food was top notch. Got the grilled chicken and halloumi club sandwich, high quality ingredients and very filling.

Best thing was they played music. “Cajun” chicken was covered in black pepper. Absolutely vile, paid £8 odd for a jacket potato i had a single bite of. Staff don’t approach or even ask how food is or if we need anything. Disappointed hugely today

It's a really good halal place and my brother loves the chocolate milkshake so much.... The atmosphere is really comfy and homey as well... It's a perfect place for breakfast. The staff is really friendly and I recommend it to all who wish to go here on a family breakfast....

Went into the Cafe today for breakfast, owner was very welcoming and food was amazing, I have now found an ideal spot for food when working in the area. The hospitality can not be faulted. The coffee they do is great will definitely be returning. Thoroughly enjoyable and tasty experience.

Honestly the hospitality is amazing, I went there with my friend me her and had an amazing breakfast/brunch, its cosy to sit and chat with your friends the staff are amazing, I think the person that served me was the owner and I must say so polite. The food itself was amazing chicken tender as you can get lamb soft like butter. There home made sauce definitely try it perfect spice. 100% it's worth your time Bonus if your a smoker they have tables outside for you aswell.

We went in on a whim. What an absolutely fantastic place! Beautiful, quality food at very reasonable prices. A huge and interesting menu. We both had a Turkish breakfast— all the ingredients were superb quality and expertly cooked. I had a cup of English tea too — a massive cup and only £2.00. We’ll definitely be returning. Very soon. The owner was awesome too. Happy, passionate and very grateful

I ordered the Big Halal Breakfast which was decent apart from two of the sausages being pork, i asked about them and they said it was chicken , it was definitely pork I didn’t eat them. Very disappointed will not be returning!!

Great service, Neat Atmosphere, Delicious Food

Waited over an hour and still was no sign of it. Tried calling and no answer. Had to end up cancelling the order.

Medo Cafe is excellent. Very flavourful food, very generous portions and great value. The Egyptian food on the menu is especially good.

Not all that mushrooms were totally burnt it was so hot no fan/ac/cooler nothing something should be there not even cold water ..

We were recommended this cafe by my sister and we were not disappointed. The food is fresh, homemade and delicious. We wanted to try something different than the standard English breakfast and opted for a Turkish breakfast and an egg dish (can't remember the name!) Both were so tasty with a perfect blend of spices and flavours. Gutted this place is not on my doorstep else we'd be there all the time. The owner is lovely too, great service thank you.

The breakfast was really good but the Turkish coffee was different class entirely. Walked in broken after a heavy night out and left reborn. Great place.

Great food and the owner couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. Had the breakfast with rashers, Turkish sausage (which was lovely), rashers, poached eggs, halloumi and hash browns. Great value for money as well.

Amazing halal breakfast for the whole family- all ages enjoyed. The Turkish and full English breakfasts were all amazing. The service was impeccable. Loved the special Egyptian sauce so much we bought some to take home!

Another halal cafe in didsbury that does breakfast. Decent food and good customer service, would definitely go back. We luckily found this place online , as it wasn’t too far from our hotel. They do breakFast, brunch and lunch dishes.

I have been twice to medo cafe with my wife, after the first time we became hooked, the food is absolutely lovely, for the price it a bargain in my opinion, and the staff are so friendly and polite, Definitely one off my favourite places to go and eat, I will definitely be going again soon. This place is lovely for Brunch, I went today and ordered a cheese and turkish sausage omelette, this was cooked perfectly and was made very quick! The manager even recommended us to use his homemade garlic sauce and red salt, these were lovely! great place to eat :)

First time yesterday, was absolutely first class service and food.

I have never been here before for food but me and my fiance came in for lunch. I ordered a kids meal as I didn't want a big meal and my partner Lamb Meatball Baguette. We are now suffering from stomach cramps, nausea and diarrhea. The salad and chips were fine but I guess it was the meat. Wouldn't be returning after this bout of food poisoning.

Since we wanted to try a halal breakfast while we came from London and stayed locally. This place with the food and service from the owner was 2nd to none. He made us feel very welcomed and the breakfast was amazing. Top class place, a little gem of a find.

Decent breakfast while staying in Manchester. We had the halal breakfast and lamb burger. The breakfast was sad expected although the tea wasn't very nice. I recommend paying extra to get a coffee as I imagine that would've been nicer. The burger was big, tasty and came with loads of chips

I love the breakfast from this place, very tasty. I don’t like mushrooms, so the owner replaces them for me with another item. It’s little things like this which make this place great. It seems the other food they serve such as baguettes are good also. The owner is there himself personally, and is passionate about service & food.

I went to this place recently just by coincidence and I have to say that I was not disappointed. Its a great find with even greater tasting food to suit all taste buds. The service and quality are really great, will be back soon.
