Visited Puddleducks yesterday afternoon. Beautifully redecorated and now fully open again. Lovely friendly, staff, lots of smiles and very welcoming. Excellent fresh coffee! Food nice and tasty too. It was very busy (it was a nice sunny day) and we had a short wait but it was well worth it. Definitely would recommend this lovely tearoom!

Popped in for a coffee and cake as we were passing, it’s a quaint little cafe but my husband queued for ages for a coffee and our visit was spoilt a little by another customer next to us who kept barking at everyone to shut the door behind them as she was cold which was quite irritating so we quickly had our drinks and left. Might be worth putting a spring on the door so it shuts behind you. I had a slice of carrot cake but I’d change supplier - the cake was so excessively sugary I felt sick afterwards. We will visit again if passing it was just a little tarnished by other customers.

This place could be so much better. We arrived for a coffee on the Easter Bank Holiday Saturday. It didn't appear to be open as its not clear which door is the entrance. We entered via the car park and the only sign we could see was the 'do not enter' on the kitchen door but no actual sign to say which was the entrance. There were no signs for the toilets either and in the half an hour we were sat outside drinking our coffee there were many people asking the waiting staff, 'where is the entrance?' or 'where are the toilets?'. Despite there only being one person in front of me in the queue it took 20 minutes to get 2 coffees. The person on the till, as well as taking orders was running into the kitchen with food orders, then running outside with hot drink orders so it took ages. This girl also had very long straggly hair and it was falling forward as she was preparing the coffees and serving food, not very hygienic. It was a lovely sunny morning but had been raining and the outside benches were too wet to sit on. I had to dry mine with a tissue I had in my pocket. Another elderly couple wanted to sit outside and mentioned to the waitress that they wanted to sit outside but the seats were wet, it all fell on deaf ears and she didn't attempt to dry them. She was walking back and forth from the till to the outside tables and going back in empty handed and leaving all the dirty pots and plates on the tables on the way past. Let's just hope they read this and buck their ideas up as with a bit more organisation and common sense this could be a lovely place to stop for a drink or bite to eat!

Popped in on a cold and rainy day . Log burner was warming the place up so it was lovely and cozy and the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly . We had breakfast barms for two adults and two kids , couple of teas and cans of coke . And some lovely slices of cake to top it off ! Wasn't too expensive , about £30 fed all four of us . And the food was fresh and tasty . Perfect place to dry off and relax . Have visited in summer also and the outside seating area is lovely there's also a little children's park there and a river just across the road were you can feed the ducks . They're very friendly and eat from your hand . Lovely little place to visit :)

What’s happened to this lovely cafe?We visited between Christmas and new year at lunchtime. The cafe was reasonably busy; there were a few tables available when we sat down. The menu had changed - not necessarily for the better. We overheard the staff saying to another customer that there was a 20 mins wait for food but we decided to stay as we have really enjoyed the homemade food here before. The drinks came pretty quickly and we waited about 40 mins for food. When it arrived part of the order was wrong, which they said they’d sort quickly but we had to go back to the counter after 10 mins when it still hadn’t arrived. The quality of the food seemed to have deteriorated, for particular note the tuna sandwich had very little filling - it was almost just a buttered barmcake and salad !! Observing the staff and kitchen the whole place seemed very chaotic but also short staffed. I’ve read up and the ownership has changed - it definitely showed. Very disappointed ☹️

We arrived and every table inside and out was covered in dirty dishes. We were informed by one of the 3 staff serving that the dish washer had broken. This led to a 30 minute wait for cake. What an enjoyable afternoon visit to Dunsop Bridge and afternoon refreshments at Puddleducks Tearoom.

This place looks welcoming from the outside but don’t be fooled. A group of us went in this place yesterday. From the outset the staff are unwelcoming. Not sure if it was because we were motorbikers but from reading the other reviews seems they are like that with anyone. Ordering is strange as you can’t order / buy some things at one counter / till but not at an other . My friend ordered a takeaway coffee as she wanted to go outside and drink it but was also informed she wouldn’t be able to drink it inside as well. Even though 6 of us we all drinking/ eating inside. Another one in our group was sat having a scone and tea at a table and got told to move as someone needed to use the post office counter behind him. Not asked in a pleasant way either. As we were about to leave another member of staff told us we need to condense ourselves as we were taking up too much room . No one had come in and tried to find a table where we were sat. Altogether not a nice exeperience. Won’t be going back. And wouldn’t recommend.

Warm friendly place, so welcoming and Darren and Angie looked after us so well. The room was clean and comfortable and our dog Bow was made so welcome too. The food was top notch. We’ll be back.

If you want a doll’s house cup of coffee, then this is the place to go. Had Americano in other cafes, but never in such a small cup, very weak coffee, no crema. Wouldn’t have thought it was machine coffee, Nescafé Azera is better….The toasted tea cake was excellent, a good size and texture. Nice atmosphere and interesting displays etc in the Heritage centre.

Great food, great service, reasonably priced. Would recommend. I ordered the ox cheek pie and husband ordered the fish and chips which were both lovely, being really picky the mash were a bit on the dry side, but I would still recommend.

This was not our first visit to the Calf’s Head but it has to be the best meal we have ever had. It was a large family gathering and despite the size of the party the service was friendly and efficient. Looking forward to a return visit, hopefully not in the too distant future.

My wife and I came across this quaint tea shop quite by chance, as it is on the outskirts of the village and laid back from the road behind a small cobbled forecourt. On entering we found it contained eight tables and quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered coffees and sandwiches which were made to order and absolutely delicious.I shall definitely return and tell my friends about it.Im not certain of the opening hours,so will need to check before I return.I thoroughly recommend it.
