We had coffee on one day (and cake!!) and returned the next day for lunch. All seemed to be home cooked and quite delicious. It's great fun having the books as well, especially if you are looking for a gift.

The ambience is wonderful; with food-related books to buy that are not just cookery books. Staff are delightful and helpful. We had coffee there one day and returned the next day for lunch. Dishes are slightly unusual, but in a good way. They were able to cope with my peculiar dietary needs. Can highly recommend.

Fantastic choice and quality of food. Brilliant friendly staff create a great atmosphere. Great selection of books on display for sale as well. Will definitely be back whenever in the area.

Enjoy a bit of history with your pint. Personally I like the poster from the 1970 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games. Also known as the IX Games. Sometimes they comedy or pub quizzes or live music. On top of all that they pour a proper pint of Guinness. Good stuff 👍

Ratcliffe TceEste es un encantador bar tradicional, situado en el lado sur de Edimburgo. Es un hito de Edimburgo para los verdaderos ales. No se sirve comida aquí, que es genial (no huele a comida). El personal experimentado es excelente. Shirley & Malcolm son estrellas. También es posible reservar mesas. Como está justo enfrente del restaurante chino Kwok, es muy conveniente. Un gran pub local. Un viejo pub histórico en la Guía Good Ale. Los perros en plomo también son bienvenidos.
