We had coffee on one day (and cake!!) and returned the next day for lunch. All seemed to be home cooked and quite delicious. It's great fun having the books as well, especially if you are looking for a gift.

The ambience is wonderful; with food-related books to buy that are not just cookery books. Staff are delightful and helpful. We had coffee there one day and returned the next day for lunch. Dishes are slightly unusual, but in a good way. They were able to cope with my peculiar dietary needs. Can highly recommend.

Fantastic choice and quality of food. Brilliant friendly staff create a great atmosphere. Great selection of books on display for sale as well. Will definitely be back whenever in the area.

Ratcliffe TceA traditional friendly bar. Good choice of beers, spirits and wine. The bar staff are lovely people and make you feel welcome, the locals are friendly too. Enjoyed spending time in there.
