Provedore, Neighbourhood Cicchetti Bar, Cafe. FALMOUTH in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Found this place on the off chance as we were staying nearby and wanted to avoid the crowds. Cute little neighbourhood bar and restaurant. Small menu but the food is really well done. Order and pay at the bar and take a seat. Meatballs, burrata, ravioli, mackerel pate and chocolate mousse. All superb.

Just incredible. Some of the best restaurants are the ones that only do a few dishes but do them extremely well: Provedore is one of those restaurants. Simple, well made food with a friendly service, all at a price that would still be reasonable 5 or 6 years ago. The guisson (white bean stew with panchetta) was deep with the flavour of fresh herbs, garlic and smokey ham, while the ravioli was delicate and expertly made. The prawns were sweet and tender, slathered with a decadent garlic butter. These were all meant to be "small plates"; they were anything but! Despite having lived in Falmouth for a while, this was out first time visiting. It certainly won't be our last!

Great little venue for cocktails and cicchetti. Funky tunes and interesting characters that made a visitors evening friendly and fun. If you are nearby, and if you can get in, then I highly recommend.

Absolute highlight of my trip to Falmouth. A must do if you're here. The breakfast bagels/brioche buns were phenomenal, coffee was delicious and had some great produce you can take home. Will be back.

Was so happy to find out this place was still open for takeaway during lockdown. Have eaten here and stopped by for many a coffee and sat in the lovely garden space during simpler times however it’s good to see the quality of the food hasn’t dipped a single bit through takeaway. Had the most amazing gyro, so tasty. Great atmosphere, amazing decor, lovely people and brilliant food. Couldn’t speak more highly of the place.

Fantastic little place. Tim the chef is a really nice guy and really knows his food. One of the nicest meals I've had in Falmouth. Will definitely be returning. Honestly couldn't fault anything.

Some of the best food I have ever eaten

One of the best meals I've ever had, the chef has an absolute passion for food and you can tell when you taste it. The waitresses were brilliant, although attentive they let you enjoy your food and give you peace. The atmosphere is brilliant in there, the music and the chatting all combined is great. Make sure you get there 10 minutes before they open for dinner as they dont do table bookings and the place is very popular.

The owners are creative, obliging and the best cooks. It's small, rustic, intimate and a lovely feel to the place. The service is relaxed

Love this hidden gem. This is tapas as it should be - exciting dishes, great quality ingredients and well selected wines. The only trouble is wanting to try everything all at once. A fantastic place to spend an intimate evening sharing wonderful food. The breakfasts here are equally brilliant.

Great atmosphere, great food, good value for money. It’s a small place so expect queues and tiny spaces and to wait for your food. But it’s really worth it! Loads of love in the food made! Only thing I would improve would be to have ice cold beer.

Brilliant night out with gorgeous tapas food! There is only road side parking but the area has lots if it so it shouldn't be a problem. It has a great selection of nice beers and wines too. Staff are super helpful and super friendly. There is an awesome vibe to the place and is definitely worth checking out!

Lovely food, never fails to impress.

Wonderful menu, delicious food -- very original approach to the food too which we really appreciated -- and super friendly, helpful staff. Especially at the seaside it was particularly nice to have a very different vibe and approach to food. The space is a bit cramped which isn't ideal but it's cute nonetheless.

Great place to eat with a nice atmosphere. I had dinner with my partner here for our anniversary and had the tapas; it normally takes quite a lot to fill me up but I found a few of these dishes did the job. Overall a lovely experience and we'll definitely visit again.

Went for an evening meal with friends and left feeling very satisfied. The food was fantastic and affordable with a range of different tapas options. I found the staff both friendly and helpful. Overall a positive experience, I would return and recommend this eatery.

Breakfast on Sunday. Foul hollandaise sauce - beware tastes like old vegetable oil - obviously bought in from Past its sell by date discount store,. Foul coffee - no crema , overrun, oily and bitter. surly waitress that pounces and ignores- wants your order before you sit down and then doesn't clear the table from previous clients but serves breakfast amongst it! Had to be asked - she didn't like that. Not cheap either. I have been to provedore before for years and have loved it but loved the coffee and staff, now , why would I go again? Waste of time and money. Aggravatingly disappointing.

I would have given it 3 stars but for the rude response from the waitress when I gave her feedback, when asked. First time visited & will be the last. Although food was tasty, the portions are a lot smaller than any tapas I've had around the world! Way over priced for the portion size given, all 4 of us thought the same. Also, 95% vegetarian, 2 fish dishes but rest vegetarian. Do not go there if you want meat balls, sausage, squid, prawns etc. Very pokey place, quaint but waitress looked unhappy, waited ages to put food order in...need more staff on.

Having a break in Falmouth with my gf for a couple of days we were recommended to try this little place. We had a really nice "Provedore Breakfast" with a coffee and pastry. Quiet and relaxing place with a nice service, for a very good price. Highly recommend.

Tim & Bev provide quality food and excellent coffee in a warm eclectic environment. The shop is a real antidote to the false welcomes and indifferent food prepared by indifferent staff at the ubiquitous chains... I try to visit at least once or twice a week and really enjoy the interesting people the place seems to attract. Quality and charm.
