booked this place for the work night out for my team on the 10/12 and it was amazing from the food to the staff. All the staff service skills were amazing they made you feel very welcomed. Thanks to carly and her team you guys rock. keep doing what you doing

I booked Proof for my partner's 30th birthday party. I booked it with Katie who was fab to deal with and really helpful. We booked the raised section of the main bar for about 20 people. We pre-booked food which their staff served up in and amongst our guests twice during the evening. (We also ended up getting a few extra bar snacks as we were setting up as well as they are so well priced and yummy!) There were padron peppers, nachos, fries, breads, dips, olives (and maybe more - can't quite remember) and the guests all loved it. Suited us much better than a straight up buffet as we had different people floating in and out through the night. The cocktails were awesome and our guests all really enjoyed their drinks. We really enjoyed ourselves and they really looked after us and cut up and served the birthday cake that we brought with us. The service was top notch, could not recommend it enough. Naughty smokers can all go outside with their drinks undercover and in the heat as well which was useful for half of our gang! Thanks so much to Katie, their fabulous chef and the waiting staff for making Zane's night go off without a hitch!

Visits to Proof are always a relaxing experience with friendly locals and the staff are simply out of this world! You are always greeted with a smile and they always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Can't say enough good things about this place but the awesome staff are the reason we always return.

My friend and called in for a light lunch after doing some Christmas shopping.. Mulled wine was properly warm and spicy and absolutely delicious. We shared 3 small plates which were freshly made and, again, delicious. Followed by some yummy Madagascan vanilla ice cream with berries. Lovely atmosphere. And, last but not least, I’m a wheelchair user and it is fully accessible. Well done Proof.. 😀

The staff here are always really friendly. Had loads of drinks here in the past but tried the food for the first time. Was really good. Would definitely eat there again.

Really friendly service when arrived and seated, however order taken and still after 20mins and tables near us ordering after us receive their cocktails. We never received ours and left after waiting 25mins. No staff about to ask. Won't be returning. Very disappointing experience.

My daughter and I wete lucky enough to enjoy fabulous breakfasts in Proof this week. Our waitress, Joely, was superb... friendly , professional and very helpful. We were also delighted with the food. Eleanor, the chef, whom we thanked warmly before we left, produced 2 marvellous plates of food. Every item was beautifully cooked, fresh and delicious. I can highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. We'll definitely be going back! Thank you Proof! Joe

Have been here a few times. Staff are always super friendly. Great place for cocktails and food. Seating area outside which is covered.

Had a flat white and smashed avocado and poached egg on sour dough (with cherry tomatoes) here with my friend a few weeks ago. Absolutely 1st class. Creamy, zingy avocado. Perfectly cooked eggs. Succulent sour dough. Bit into tomato and my face was paralysed for a second in ecstasy of taste. Never tasted a tomato like it - I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. Lovey staff, lovely sun, lovely morning. Stairway to the bread of heaven! Next time in MCR will be returning!!!!

We had a great night at proof. Izzy was such a great waitress, it really makes a difference when someone makes such an effort! She is a credit to your team - thanks Izzy! We will be back.

Visited here for some brunch with friends and had such a nice time! The eggs were perfect, the cocktails were lovely and everything was reasonably priced. The staff were really warm and friendly - I would definitely return.

A very welcoming cafe / restaurant for a Sunday brunch. The caring staff team looked after us really well, made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. The food was excellent, freshly cooked, and nice to see a restaurant naming their food suppliers on the menu - the quality shone through!

We had the BEST couple of hours here.... Called in advance to book a table on the terrace and arrived to see it reserved with our name on 2 minutes later.... We ordered the special - which was a steal at £8.... brown crab, spinach and beauteous poached eggs.... The staff are present. Constantly visible and work really hard.... it’s not a place you go to and need to ask for things because it is all taken care of.... It’s a really affable, local restaurant which serves great food with amazing service.... We cannot recommend more highly.... Ps the house white and house lager were also brilliant! In essence - if you are a foody who values great service and fabulous food. Go!

Staff say they have been drinking shots. Ask for bill wait over 20 minutes for card reader and when staff member comes back she says she’s been out for a cig. Great service guys!! Erm nope.

Third time we have been to proof. Excellent range of cocktails and a friendly bar person. The ice cream shake was half a pudding and cocktail in one, a must if in Chorlton

Pero para mí es la capacidad de improvisar y relacionarse con un cliente que puede no saber lo que quiere o tiene el deseo de rastrear docenas de bebidas para los ingredientes y combinaciones que le gusten. Esto sucedió para mi novia, que no estaba segura de lo que le gustaba, ya que no es una bebedora con experiencia, solo para que el barman le haga algunas preguntas selectas sobre el sabor y luego haga una bebida sublime y sabrosa ante nosotros.¡Servicio excepcional!También comimos algunos bocadillos en el estilo de las tapas, que me dijeron que eran ingredientes locales, y que también eran muy sabrosos.Gran lugar y volveremos.

He estado en Proof varias veces y siempre me ha impresionado la calidad de los cócteles. Sirven a todos los clásicos, pero también a un rango decente de especiales. Los calentadores de invierno son particularmente agradables en una noche fría. ¡En ocasiones he estado dudando sobre qué ordenar y el personal del bar me ha resultado muy útil a la hora de averiguar qué debo probar!El club de vinos una vez al mes, un lunes, definitivamente vale la pena echarle un vistazo: vinos encantadores y platos pequeños con una multitud amigable (no soy un conocedor, así que me sentí intimidado por la idea de ir, pero es realmente acogedor y muy informal).Los asientos al frente son una excelente trampa para el sol si te gusta ese tipo de cosas. El bar puede ser un poco tranquilo a veces, probablemente debido a su ubicación, pero definitivamente vale la pena desviarse de las opciones más predecibles de Chorlton. Proof is a wonderful cocktail bar. Great ambience. Very expertly mixed cocktails. Wine tasting on the first Monday of the month is also a brilliant experience.

Very pleasant open area with well made refreshing frozen cocktails. Perfect for a hot summers day. Service was prompt and polite.

Absurdly on a bank holiday weekend, one poor guy behind the bar, one overworked girl doing food. Massive queues, people getting irritable. How to lose business.

Great little cocktail bar that has a wide ranging menu. Cosy. Prices a little on the high side but not out of the ordinary.

Es estupendo tener un establecimiento de calidad en su puerta, utilizan gran ánimo y hacer cócteles generoso. En los 2 años que hemos vivido en el personal afirmó Chrolton han sido consistentemente acogedor y hemos disfrutado muchos cumpleaños y la noche de Navidad en la empresa como los cócteles acotado. Mejor Ron anticuado en el noroeste!

Cuando no quiero ir a la prueba de Manchester es la siguiente mejor lugar. Está justo en mi puerta y no es difícil llegar. Los cócteles son buenas y es un lugar agradable e íntimo que se puede ir durante todo el año. Su sitio web dice que hacer comida y cata de vinos, si eso es lo que te gusta. También he contratado la sección volver antes de haber partido si su grupo, lo cual es muy útil si quieres intimidad.

Entonces ella vino a nuestra mesa con nuestra ficha (que era un £140) y nos dijeron que pagar y salir. Este es un bar muy agradable en los suburbios que ofrece excepcionalmente bien hecho cócteles así como una gama completa de menos de bebidas exóticas, (incluyendo el agua para su perro). Interesante e inusual aperitivos y una variedad limitada de alimentos sabrosos, pequeña placa. Si te apetece algo un poco diferente de la tradicional pinta y una bolsa de patatas fritas de la prueba podría ser el lugar para ti. Compruébalo.

Un amigo nos recomendó que pruebe este bar para tomar una copa por la noche y fue una buena elección. Una vez sentado el camareras trajeron agua en botellas a la mesa antes de tomar nuestra orden. Hay una amplia variedad de cócteles que se hacen a un buen nivel, y un ambiente bastante relajado.

Second try as our first visit was disappointing. Dropped in for cocktails and other drinks. Staff was again really good but that's all about it. Rip off for the sake of it. Pull down the prices and throw more quality in!

Average place but what a rip off.Will not return. Shame as staff are nice. Inside decor needs improving. Toilets not good either.

Not sure why this place has had descent reviews! Can only think it's from the ten staff that work there or at least attempt to.its got really rude staff and the drinks are poor,and definitely watered down.there are places in chorlton that have a much better range of drinks that aren't watered down and are better priced.tgeres also no atmosphere her it's awful.my advice is close your doors and stop cheating chorltonites and yourselves.

Absolutely fantastic! Cocktails don't get better than this and the tortillas are the tastiest I've ever had. Service is brilliant too. If you haven't been -go!

This place is perfect to bring a date as the cocktails are great and it's got a nice atmosphere and they take orders at the table which is great for a bar. Bit over priced thou considering it's not in town

This place is away from the main stretch of bars which gives it a hip vibe. The food and drink selection is excellent. A must for any true Chorltonistas.

I think it's fab, good cocktails, great atmosphere and the staff are lovely. They have a great selection of wine too.

Had a wonderfull evening catching up with friends in this cosy bar but it is tainted by the staff 's attitude at the end of the night , after shouting last drinks the bartender who had been friendly all evening served me a large & expensive round of drinks ( over £50) I paid but left them on the bar whilst I went to the restroom, came back the same bartender had removed all my drinks and disposed of them, challenged this and his answer was " we have finished now!, if I ever return to Chorlton will try another bar.

I really like this place - tucked away just a few steps off the main stretch of bars in Chorlton, it is cosy and I've never been unable to get a table, despite the always buzzing atmosphere. I've sampled a fair few of the cocktails and all have been delicious (try the Blue Hick Julep or the Kismet), but if nothing on the menu takes your fancy the bar staff are always happy to mix something else up on request. At 2 for £12 the cocktails are fairly priced compared to similar places. Table service is a nice touch that sets Proof apart from other bars in the area.

The friendly service, wonderful cocktails and vibrant atmosphere in this cosy bar make it a very special little place. The staff are always smiling and are enthusiastic when suggesting drinks. There's a brilliant list of cocktails but they are always happy to make any special requests. If you're peckish, the dips and nachos are beautifully presented and utterly delicious. Proof is the perfect place to come for a special drink made with love and a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. You will not be disappointed! I will be coming back again and again.

Lovely tiny place, fab cocktails and great table service. Would thoroughly recommend. Gets a bit busy at weekends but we've always managed to find a seat somewhere. Have a lychee martini - incredible!

I have been here a number of times, and although expensive, enjoyed the "Quality" atmosphere, and the gorgeous cocktails. The sort of bar you would expect in the city centre rather than in Chorlton. Sadly I recently had a very upsetting experience, which means I will not be returning. A petite waitress spilt a Whole drink down my outfit! We were there on the way out to a club, so I knew immediately I would have to go home and change. However a spilt drink is an accident, and that is forgivable. But not the little waitresses AWFUL attitude. She didn't say "sorry" just kept saying: "it wasn't my fault, it wasn't my fault"! not sure who's it was if it wasn;t hers! but an apology and a couple of free drinks and who'd have complained. So I asked for the drink to be replaced, and the drink to be on the house (pretty reasonable, and really should have been offered!). Boy did they argue, but finally agreed (me in a soaked outfit). And no cloth to clean me up, I had to go in and they gave me a tiny bit of kitchen paper. Leaving a puddle on the table and chair. So I drank my drink and tried to forget the upsetting attitude. Then next, the waitress was serving the group beside me, and loudly laughing and being rude about me. It was her who spilt the drink, and her who didn't apologise!What awful customer service. I was left shocked and upset, and off I went home, my evening curtailed.
