We arrived just after a large party so they were a bit rushed, however, service was lovely. Food amazing. Came out quickly and hot. Garlic nan was delicious as were the curries. Will definitely be back.

Extremely disappointed all the food was cold when delivered and I'd say sauces are out of jars not made onsight up there with the worst curry I've ever tasted was recommended how wrong the advice I was given was if I was you I'd go too taj mahal in Gourock very superior to priyas palace and prices are more reasonable

Warm and comfortable. Attentive staff and first class food. The buffet nights are a real favourite. Cannot fault and highly recommend.

We didn't dine in, it was a takeaway we had...once again fabulous curries, pakora, peshwari naan and poppadoms. Chicken saag wala and chicken bhoona outstanding. This is the best Indian restaurant in Inverclyde...all round excellent service at an affordable price.

First time in Priyas Palace and YOU have to give it a try! It’s a great little spot with amazing food and a view to die for on the booth tables. The King Prawn Jenga is to die for. IT WAS SPECTACULAR!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

Had dinner at Priya’s Palace last night for a family birthday. Food was excellent (starters & mains). Service was also excellent- staff were warm and friendly with some humour. Perfect place for a family meal with a warm and friendly environment. Will definately be back.

We looked for an Indian near the esplanade area and this came up, the reviews were hit and miss and when we went it was a buffet....... The food was hotish, the plates werer hotish, the best about it was the Garlic nan fresh and tasty... cant recommend it ..

used to eat here, louts supplying the kitchen from a van that blocked the entire pavement, they actually told me to go walk round the van on a busy road, terrible roadcraft and ignorant. i shant be eating here again.

The best Indian around. Food is fresh, very tasty, and doesn't leave you feeling bloated like many other Indian restaurants do. You can tell the quality and the heart is there!

Worst meal I have ever had. Rice was obviously precooked and packed in a plastic tub. Solid and cold. Paid £17.10 for a prawn dish. Prawns dry and tough. Sauce was so hot I had to add crème fraiche. Never again. Waste of money.

Great Sunday buffet and brilliant friendly staff

Ordered a takeaway at 5 o’clock and it was delivered an hour and a half later. When delivered they had left out part of our order. So I called back and they said they would send it out. I was then called back by them to say that I had underpaid when I had actually I paid more than was told over the phone. So instead of being apologetic for forgetting part of the order I was then told to pay extra for the for part of the order they forgot. I was then asked by the manager to not leave a bad review and would get the rest of the order for nothing. Really disappointed with the service. Will not be ordering from here again!

!! SHOCKING!! Got takeaway delieverd. Wasnt very hot and part of order was missing, phoned and explained and was told order would be sorted, then had to call yet again and was told we had under paid and would cost extra. Then done the maths myself and turned out we over paid, spoke to manager who wasnt very helpful until I said about a bad review and he then agreed to send the rest of the order. 3 hours later from original phonecall the rest of the family meal appeared. Night ruined and meal ruined. Shocking service and manners for a £80 order!! Will never ever return and strongly advise everyone to try TajMahal in gourock before these cowboys!

The taste is still as good as ever but the portion sizes I.e the pieces of chicken in the curry are a lot smaller. Prices going up and portion sizes going down could lose you custom. Poppadoms were also of a near soggy texture.

OMG , avoid this takeaway ....I ordered our food at 5pm and it was delivered after 7pm....over 2 hours waiting for food and to top it off it was all cold when it arrived ....most of it went in the bin . we tried loads of times to contact them to ask why the food was taking so long and couldn't get through , eventually got through and was told a pack of lies to cover their backs...would definitely give it a miss in future. have no idea why this place is listed as no 1 in the area , it really doesn't leave much hope for the others. the photo below is the food that was binned .

Ordered 3 main meals and nans and chapattis at 4.50pm,was told it would be with us as soon as possible,after 2 hours and over 20 calls to restaurant and excuses ordered turned up cold and not very nice at all.i would not recommend this place as they are better places than this.customer service absolutely non existing.be warned ...

I am a regular visit of pryias and is one of my fav, however I placed a delivery on just eat it was late it was cold and the food was unrecognisable to the food I received in the restaurant,

What a disgrace, we ordered food, had to wait over 2 hours and when the food arrived it was cold, when I called they said I will give you 10 pounds off your next order, but I told them that was the first and only time I would be ordering from them, it was my anniversary and expected more, take what you want from this review but I was really disappointed!!!

Fabulous takeaway tonight....chicken pakora was perfect, chicken saag wala gorgeous and our son devoured his chicken butter masala. Beautiful basmati rice and crispy poppadoms. All together a perfect meal and great value....lovely girl brought the food out too. Thanks everyone at the Priyas

Placed an order on the 4th of december, wasnt delivered as the deliverly driver couldnt be bothered looking for my house. The delivery came today and it was the wrong order. And thwy forgot my drink. Paid £23.60 and got extremely poor food. Rice was cold, the curry i got (wasnt the one i ordered) was cold and wasnt a lot of it. Wont be ordering again!

Always a great meal and fantastic service at Priyas.

Arrived at 6.30 and ordered. Poppadoms (stale) came with only one of the three of us having plates / cutlery. Had to go to the bar to ask for plates as no waiting staff were approaching the table. Starters arrived fairly promptly afterwards, pakora was excellent. Then the wait was on. Takeaways were being cooked, placed on a table for upwards of 30 minutes at a time. A dim shimmer of hope as plates were presented on the pass. No joy. Another 30 minutes passes. Still no sign. Another 30 minutes. We’re hopelessly trying to find someone to flag down as ask where our meal is. Nothing. One member of waiting staff sitting at the pass presumably hoping for better days. Eventually we catch someone’s eye, success! Food will be out shortly. An apology from the manager and an explanation that takeaway is very busy tonight. Another 30 minutes. Finally! We have plates. The table behind us has started their own complaints proceedings, but luckily we complained first. I sit writing this review having finished our meal 20 minutes ago. Nobody has as yet approached the table to clear, or offer us a bill. The table to our left has been sitting with clean starter plates for about 40 minutes now. The food was actually quite good, when it came. The staff were (with the exception of the younger guy that usually works behind the bar) fairly useless and unapologetic. Wouldn’t rush back.

The experience I had in this restaurant was shocking, waited 1h 45m for our main courses owner did not offer apology until I complained after I paid, shocking service, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone as they’re extremely simple and don’t care about the customer just the money.

We opted for the buffet. Service was quick. We were told the starters were ready so we went up. There was a good selection but only 2 sad looking bits of chicken tikka left and no sign of it being replenished. Those 2 bits were stone cold. In fact, almost every starter was cold and some a bit tough so looks like it had been out too long. Straight after finishing our starter, our nan arrived so we were forced to go get our mains straight away otherwise the nan would have gone cold. We would have liked a gap between courses. There was a good selection of mains but again, most were cold which was extremely disappointing as all the food tasted good. Not once were we asked if everything was OK with the food. Asked for the bill which fell on deaf ears so had to go up to bar eventually. Bloke behind the bar wasn’t at all friendly. Overall, a disappointing night out. They definitely need to improve things. Will not be back.

Food really good but service slow and asked to leave very abruptly after food service stopped. My real bugbear is a lack of itemised billing. Our bill for large group consisted of a food total, drinks total and overall total! Unacceptable

Had the meal for two carry out, veg pakora, asked for a large portion for an extra pound, South Indian garlic chili chicken, chicken balti, rice and peshwari nan. Portions were good and the food was very tasty. An excellent meal that I'd fully recommend.

Good food but has went down hill slightly compared to how it used to be. They do a buffet with good choice of mains but poor choice of starters with only ice cream on the menu for dessert which you have to ask for or they don't offer, starting at £14:50 per head is quite expensive for whats on offer.

Visited with friends for our occasional catch-up. When we go to Priya’s Palace it’s usually for the “a la carte” menu but we thought we’d try the buffet evening for a change. Everyone was delighted with it. In fact one friend said she was so full from the starters she didn’t think she could manage her main ... but she did!! It was great being able to try different dishes. We’re talking about choosing the buffet option again. The service was prompt and efficient and for what we got we felt we had value for money.

I normally eat at Priyas Palace a couple of times per year, and find the food generally pretty good. This time the food was good but the bill seems to have expanded. £120 for 4 people (with no wine). I think that's pretty expensive. Good service and atmosphere but disappointed in the bill.

My wife and I visited priyas palace last week and had one of the best meals that we've had in a while, we had starter of mixed pakora which was delicious . The main meals were out of this world every thing was cooked to perfection. I think without a doubt that this is the best Indian restaurant in the west coast of Scotland.

I was at Priyas yesterday. As always it not only hits the spot with tantalising flavours but the quality is top notch. Customer service is brilliant.

Attractive and comfortable restaurant but the food was disappointing. Was shocked at the price of the side dishes - £6.90 a pop!!! Live in London and used to paying £3.50 to £4.50 a side. At Priyas Palace you can upgrade your side to a main for £9, we did this but in my opinion were still served a side sized portion. We left feeling hungry and dissatisfied, when normally we have to ask for a doggy bag.

Located just a few minutes walking distance from town centre. The staff here make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive and are very happy to help. You watch the chef s cook your meals with the open plan kitchen setup .The food was fresh hot and tasty South Indian garlic chicken is recommended . Slightly pricey for this area . Only slight draw back is the stair up to the restaurant which is above a pool hall.

Usual very polite helpful service on telephone. Accurate estimated time of delivery. Fantastic food..... including haggis pakora for our European visitors to try! From Saag Paneer to Chicken korma and Chasni to Jhenga with all the extras and a delicious chicken stroganoff for one guest..... it was a fabulous meal at a great price. Very happy to highly recommend Priyas Palace as always.

We go out with family members for a meal one Saturday in every month. Always trying to vary our restaurants.

Lovely friendly waitress and good service. Food was a bit bland - had to add seasoning and I consider myself to have a fresh palate. I had the Korma and my husband had the chicken Madras. Lots of sauce with both curries which was nice but neither of them were over full of flavour. Ordered Pashmari nan and it came with a pink inside filling - never had a nan with that before and again wasn’t over tasty. All food was very hot and fresh, we only needed one pilau rice between us.

Absolutely adore this beautiful place as do my whole family!! From buffet nights, which I highly recommend btw, to a quiet meal, to a carry out or even a delivery!! The food is absolutely to die for, every dish is made with the finest ingredients and the best quality meats and sundries. Wonderful food well worth the drive across from Glasgow.

Used to be a really good restaurant, but has gone way downhill. Twice in the past two months we have been here the food has been virtually inedible.

My parents and myself come here regularly as well as taking away. The food is perfect, the staff are friendly and knowlageable, service is prompt and very good, they will help you pick something to suit you if you havent tried many of the dishes. You can get meat served on a hot sizzler dish with sauce on the side, or a wide selection of traditional curries, my favourite is their "Special Korma" which is cooked with Bailey's, it is sooo creamy and sweet and beautiful, and I have this with peshwari naan and a pina colada. I would highly recommend this dish if you like korma or something mild and sweet. I get this almost every time. Or the Chasni...! Everything is so flavourful, rich, delicious sauces as well as manu sides of naan breads and rice, and many wines, Indian beers, cocktails. You must try this place!

Food was nothing you wouldn't get from any other take out joint locally, it was regular. Service was regular. Portion size was miserable. Price was high and with everything stated above if I went to McDonald's for two large meals and a kids meal I would be far more satisfied and after paying McDonald's I would be FORTY FOUR QUID better off. What can you do with £44? Is it acceptable to pay this mob £44 more than the likes of McDonald's minus the beer??? Wouldn't recommend nor will I be back! I know we have the minimum wage but when two adult meals, one beer and a kids chicken nugget meal costs the same as a weeks shopping from M & S ers no pleasurable experience from going to these type of places. KEEP THE CHANGE YOU FILTHY ANIMALS... And that's me being nice!

Been to this restaurant a few times now and the food has always been amazing. I've never tried the takeaway option but I have heard from friends that it is really good too. I would happily recommend this place.

one of the best restaurants i have ever been to, the food is absolutely amazing, the staff are so polite and standards are always high, the Indian aroma just lifts you off your feet and intrigues you to enjoy a great meal with family,friends and its even better on your own, just great to have all the traditional Indian beers as well as the modern ones. all in all i would say it is amazing and would highly recommend you visit at least once, after that one you will sure to be a regular customer.

Great food, clean, and a nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very attentive. I'm from America but make trips to Scotland every few months, and Priyas Palace is always the first place I want to have dinner. Highly recommend the chicken madras, if you can handle the heat.

This is probably the best Indian restaurant in the area.

Staff are friendly, restaurant is clean and well presented but the jewel in the crown is the food. Never had a bad meal and this is backed up by the fact that it’s normally pretty busy every night of the week. Food is fresh and varied and the buffet nights offer the chance to try something new. A firm family favourite.
