Prince Regent in Cambridge

Four of us visited at midday today and were greeted warmly by the young lady behind the bar. This good greeting plus a nice atmosphere when we were actually seated and settled made the visit very enjoyable. Many thanks Barbara.

Delicious Sunday roast, we were a table of 8 and food arrived fairly quickly Service was quick and efficient, pub felt really cozy on a wet and windy day

The bar staff are the best! Really like to come to this pub.

At peak times in the colder months there are not enough seats outside with outdoor heaters. Also I’m not so sure hygiene wise about the servers, as I saw somebody drop an ice shovel on the floor and then put it back in the ice bucket. Drinks wise the selection is fairly commercial/Greene King oriented. I tried a Lilley’s elderflower cider but it was way too sweet and not that flavourful.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of this pub, staff knowledgeable and friendly, pub cat...adorable.

Had the bacon cheese burger with seasoned fries and it came with a couple onion rings. Food was actually good and the ambiance was nice. For those not of UK remember that seasoned in this case means adding salt or maybe even pepper to fries. Was bummed they didn't have a lot of condiments to choose from. Service staff are pleasant. Would be great to know that we need to know as we walk in that we order at bad or scan a QR code that is on a menu at the very bottom and easy to miss. Especially for newcomers. Would suggest pasting it to the table. Workers can get side tracked with larger crowds so be sure to remind them politely if they forgot the dessert as you pay for it beforehand. Will definitely go again now that I know what to do. Do take note that the brownies are small but do taste good and rich for those with a sweet tooth.

We got our first meals five minutes after ordering, and the rest one full hour later. The place in very nice so I guess it might be fun to just chill and wait, but not when you're really hungry.

Cosy corners to sit in. Nothing bad. Enjoyed their fish n chips. Blood orange and lime lemonade were to my liking. Curry sauce with fish and chips was best. They fry fish n chips in separate oil so no cross-contamination for diners seeking halal.

Unreal value for pub in central Cambridge. Really friendly staff as well.

Only drawback was tough chicken breast in the BBQ chicken which wouldn't submit even to a steak knife that my host had to ask for, and the lack of garden peas in the kitchen. Sainsbury's is two minutes away! Wine (Sauvignon Blanc) was excellent. Staff very friendly.

2£ a beer, but it is made from sparkling water with a pill, undrinkable. The food...is not 3d printed like in any pub's, it's just a tooth paste with different colours. Only for Brits without a passport.

Great atmosphere on a Friday night - great music and very busy which is a nice addition. Huge garden too. Super quick service and chatty bar staff!

Pretty standard chain pub. Nothing horrendous. Staff were really nice. Decor is good and there are quiet little corners for intimate catch ups or larger tables for families. A nice balance

A nice pub which is a good place to go for a beer - the lunch is pretty average with small salads and a lot of bread. But it has a nice atmosphere.

My husband and I visited here on a sunny Sunday afternoon and sat in the beer garden initially just for some drinks. The staff were friendly and as soon as we saw the standard of food coming out we decided to stay and have food. Such a great price and really yummy! Not something which I can say about all Greene King pubs. We will definitely be back again soon for a visit with friends and family.

The food was amazing, I got the nachos to share with my friends and I had my own cheese toastie that was so good.

Heard about the prince regent from a friend, so I visited while I was in town, and it did not disappoint. Great food, beer, and lovely staff who catered to all our needs. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back soon.

The atmosphere was nice, that's why we decided to had dinner there, but after the way the staff treated us, we'll never go again. We were a group of international students in Cambridge and they treated us in a super rude and non-polite way. We went to order at the bar and the waiter told us to order now because the kitchen was about to close soon but that they could take our order. We were 7 and were in a line ordering our food. Two of us ordered and paid the drink and the food and in the moment the third person was about to order they told us "the kitchen is closed". It was unbelivable. We said we didn't wanted the food we just ordered because obviously we wanted to have dinner together, but they had already put in the table the two (and cold) plates of nachos. We complained but the waiter told us that he didn't knew that his manager didn't want to take more orders. It was a nonsense because they could have told us in the first place and we wouldn't order at all. They treated us that way, laughing of us because we were students and not from the UK. Unacceptable.

Very nice pub. We stayed in the garden to rest after visiting cambridge city center. Had a few drinks and excellent garlic bread. Not as busy as center. Excellent service.

I sat in the garden. The atmosphere was nice. The crowd at the pub was mostly young people in their 20s and 30s. The service was good.

Beh, speravo proprio in qualcosa di più. Il locale è pittoresco, si', ma non molto pulito: i tavoli erano unti al tatto, i servizi igienici poco presentabili... Ci siamo accomodati al tavolo ed abbiamo atteso una decina di minuti prima di accorgerci che la regola era di andare a ordinare alla cassa birre e bevande... Così abbiamo ordinato e solo dopo quasi un'ora di attesa sono arrivate le pietanze. Io ho preso una flat iron steak, buona, con una tazza di chips, non eccezionali, 6 pomodorini Pachino sbollentate e una salsina poco saporita. Mia moglie voleva prendere fish & chips, ma ci hanno detto che non c'era più pesce...cosi' ha scelto un cheese burger, passabile ma non eccezionale. Birra bionda buona e conto: meno di 40 pounds. Esperienza da non ripetere.

Arrived in Cambridge and we were looking for lunch and found this great pub.Staff very helpful and friendly and there was a good atmosphere.Food was reasonable and very nice steak and ale pie.Would eat here again.

Spacious Greene King pub that has a variety of seating areas that get better as you go through to the terrace.

Came here for a Sunday roast with some friends. Considering their chicken (and everything it came with) is so dry and unseasoned, it’s irritating that you have to pay for extra gravy. The garden is nice.

Went in for lunch today with my friend and her daughters. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Generous portions of food with gluten free options.

Sorry. Had to give one star. We booked a table for lunch at 2pm on a Sunday only to be told after ordering drinks that food would take 90 minutes as a minimum. The pub was fairly busy but the main reason for the delay was apparently a lack of plates 🙄. Not sure what was going on but it really spoilt our day as everywhere else was booked up but we didn't want to wait until nearly 4pm for lunch and had hungry kids/young adults. We ended up in weatherspoons (pretty rubbish but at least they served food!).

A nice pub in the center of Cambridge with live music and a decent amount of things to order on the menu. Coming here with a friend was fun and it deserves a shot if you've got nothing to do in the evening.

Sunday dinner bit of disappointment, no beef,only chicken, and no stuffing,not worth the money, nice cosy pub though.

Made the mistake of going Xmas week, crowed, busy, and nosing. Little staff covering a large bar, only one card machine in sight, whatever was getting dispensed as Beer was anything but 🍺

Nice pub going out of city centre on hills road , just had a drink 6 no food , but it felt relaxed there had some nice music in the background, didn't have food but menu looks good

Visiting Cambridge for the day for a day of filming for a music video, served predominantly by Maya behind the bar, recommended the best deals for us with our order, which will continue to bring people back through the doors! Her customer service is second to none, smiling and friendly serious top level! Highly recommended place for local or visiting people alike! We didn’t order food but it looked like service was super efficient and flowed well with great communication between all the staff that have been on shift during both visits today (12:30 - 1:30pm and 19:00 - 20:00) . Venue itself is great with a fabulously decorated exterior seating area outside too! Cleanliness throughout is great, Definitely be back if ever in the area!

Visited prince regent earlier! Was 10/10, had the Mac and cheese made by Tyler and it was luscious ♥️♥️ coming back to Cambridge soon just to revisit ! Was served by Hope, she’s certainly got the chat and lovely doesn’t cut it, very welcoming x

I had a very nice beer at this place. What I really don't like about this place is that it is always quite noisy and every time I want to taste the food they already have the kitchen closed 🤷. If at some point I try something I will update this post

Nice place to hang - not so much crowded as other pubs in Cambridge. Nice area both inside and outside. I was there on my birthday on October 9th - the waitress, Hora I guess, was great - very thoughtful and all the time was asking if everything okay. Great drinks and nachos from Tyler. Love ❤️

Great pub with greater food. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. The seating is rather comfy with some outdoors spots being the same. Recommend if you're out with friends looking for a nice spot for drinks and food

Great ambiance, excellent food. We did have 1 issue with the food but it was quickly resolved by the manager who was, helpful, professional and attentive. We highly recommend this venue when you visit the City District of Cambridge.
