Always a great pub Traditional down to the carpets Friendly staff and Nigel the manager will do anything to make you welcome. Highly recommended for a type of bar that's sadly disappearing in this country Guest ale's, home cooked food and a wide range of liqueurs and spirits to feed your eyes on. Walkers by welcome, does not tolerate trouble so feel safe. Jasen

Lovely owners! Come here every couple of months to catch-up with some friends on the Tuesday quiz nights. This is my source of education about the British culture of the previous generation. Always fun even though we come last everytime we play!

Nice pub with a beer garden good service

Great night at The Prince last Saturday 13th August 2022. Karaoke with Ben until just before midnight, pub packed with good mix of people in their twenties up to middle ages(!) and everyone had a great time. Manager Nigel and his bevy of incredibly attractive barmaids did a great job. Recommended.

Nice friendly local with good choice of ale and Sunday roast which is very good. We are not regulars but we always get great service and friendly welcome.

We live near and we are glad to be able to return to drinking in our local again. The landlord is always friendly when in the pub and Nigel is always welcoming and its great to see what they have done to the place during lockdown. We are enjoying another evening drinking in the garden. Would recommend this pub to friends.

Gone back recently after long abscence as I use a local shop. Strange opening hours but very friendly and willing to engage with a cosmopolitan range of clientel. Everyone easy with everyone else. I like it

I attended the Prince of Wales in Belvedere having read its excellent review by Pub-Spy in a recent edition of the NewsShopper. My lunchtime experience, as that of Pub-Spy, was first class. The 'sassy' barperson, I presume, would be landlady Helen, polite, efficient, chatty and welcoming. The atmosphere was pleasantly convivial, the locals friendly and like Helen, happy to chat. The real ale's, three on that day, were on sale for £2.50 a pint (lunchtime only) as were two ciders. The bitters, from memory were, Youngs, Doom Bar and Old Speckled Hen. I had the latter, which was top notch. The lunchtime food menu looked attractive, the food, both tasty and plentiful. The décor was very in keeping with the pubs history, clean and tidy, the views to a small common/park, wonderful. This hostelry is a hidden gem and for what its worth, I would highly recommend a visit.
