Lovely, well run, warm welcome, great food

We visited yesterday on recommendation. Lovely roast dinner and Steak Pie . Service great. Staff were both professional and friendly. We will definitely return.

It was a chance find, the Staff reach-out was welcoming, food came light in price, strong in quality, value for money high. It happened I went back with others a day later, they'd endorse with similar comment. A family style, local community attracting hostelry which does better than serve "pub grub" as a glance at the menu quickly revealed. I'd be happy, very happy, to visit again. Burnham Boy Lumley

Would like to be constructive with comments but roast dinner was not very hot and chicken burger meal was so small like child portion. The chicken burger itself was nice but bun cheap and just a 10p slice of cold processed cheese added which was £1.50 extra, no nice salad or coleslaw included But inside pub was nice and nice outside space also Staff were very pleasant and eager to remedy any issues Perhaps normal chef was sick

Another great evening in this traditional village pub. Great food and Claire and John are perfect hosts. Very good selection of beers and the home cooked food is excellent with a great vegetarian choice as well.

Best fish and chips with delicious mushy peas

Fabulous food, and we all ate different meals. Particularly recommend the duck and fish. Tge cherry crumble was scrumptious. This is a great local pub with lovely bar staff.

Great place. Friendly atmosphere, cosy vibe, dog friendly and good beer.

Friendly, professional pub with excellent staff and wonderful drinks/food. We are regulars at the quiz night for a meal and then the light hearted quiz with a raffle to get a go at “open the box”. Claire, John and the team make you feel totally at home. We liked the pub and way you are treated so much we held a family event there in January and we’re totally looked after. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lovely meal here last night it was delicious 👌 My pasta dish had so much flavour better than some of the Italian restaurants I've been to. Starters were nicely presented and my husband's steak pie looked and tasted lovely he said. The staff are really lovely and can't do enough for you! It's a lovely traditional pub with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend 100%.

The amount of times we have been going past this pub we thought we'd try it and we weren't disappointed Excellent atmosphere staff were absolutely friendly and went the extra mile even put a birthday candle on my mother' inlaws cake food was absolutely perfect we will be going back

First time visit ordered cod and chips the cod was battered but the fish inside was very wet didn’t enjoy at all my husband ordered a starter barbecued chicken wings and for main a small Liver and bacon when we got our food no starter to be seen the waitress apologised she forgot to order it my husband said he will still have it within 5 minutes it was served stone cold we sent it back didn’t want anymore I don’t know what sort of chef they have there but not experienced I know because I am an experienced chef so awful

I’ve already wrote a review I think you need an experienced chef you will get no where with this one plus fresh fish not frozen

Village Pub with tasty home cooked food and decent portion sizes. Beavertown neck oil on draft. Decent Sunday roasts. My favourite desert has got to be the brownie or sticky toffee pudding!! The landlords Claire and John are lovely

Visited twice recently within a few weeks. Standard has dropped in the kitchen. Steak in pie has some very hard bits as if frozen before, Crumble on the second visit was not cooked in the container as before but simply compiled, apple and sultanas, the crumble added but not cooked together. Good food good service reasonable prices

We have thoroughly enjoyed returning to The Prince of Wales, Great Totham. The warm friendly atmosphere and delicious food is worth the drive from Scotland each time! Well done John & Clare!

What a lovely pub and the best landlady and landlord who are so welcoming. Great service and a great roast. Would really recommend.

Lovely place to go, great food and friendly staff

To my regret, for some reason I had never been to this pub even though it is only 5 miles from us. Went for a Sunday roast and it was very, very good with friendly atmosphere and attentive staff and Landlord. If you like your real ales( I do!) they serve Adnams Ghostship and London pride which are kept very well. Left a happy bunny. Will definitely visit more often.

My daughter sang here. What an amazing place, friendly staff and people, can't wait to go back.

Out for a family meal. Excellent choice of food and good value. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We will be returning.

Great atmosphere and beer selection. Be aware, food is often server only at the evening on weekend to avoid frustration :)

We came for food yesterday for my partners birthday. The staff are friendly, attentive and nothing is a bother! The food was out of this world, lots of flavour, with a plentiful portion! The price was perfect! Overall a brilliant evening and well worth it.

Wow! What a beautiful pub, so cosy, welcoming and food was outstanding. First time and won’t be the last…New Years Eve lunch with friends. Fresh, home cooked, pub food that was tasty, plentiful and delicious. Spoilt for choice with a fabulous menu and great specials on the board. Service was excellent - compliments to the chef, owners and staff. So pleased our friends took us here…We will be back 110% and by the way…top tip…the after eight cheesecake is AMAZING!

Cosy dog friendly pub with great food. Their pies are worth an order- usually handmade. Staff friendly and always accommodating. Plenty of parking.

Visited today with family four adults and two children for my sons birthday. This was our 3rd visit and once lived up to all expectations. I had the small plated roast which has it says small but fine for me. Great value for money we paid we all had a couple of drinks and three desserts £110. Will be back soon

The new Landlords of this beautiful pub are amazing. The food is outstanding too. Nothing is too much trouble.

Friendly staff. Good food. Reasonable prices.

Hadn’t been here for a long time even though we knew it had new management. Just didn’t make it but decided to book for Sunday lunch. Food very nice and prompt service. We knew it had been taken on again so hope Claire and John can keep it up to these standards. We will be back for dinner and one of your music evenings soon.

John & Clare have taken over the pub, we ate there tonight and had a lovely meal. Will definitely be back. All the best and we wish them all the luck xx

Great over 55's food deals. Good beer and cider.

After 4 failed attempts to o eat out we drove past the prince of Wales it was 755 and kitchen was closing at 8. They was extremely helpful and still did us a meal. The fish was so fresh I'm surprised it didn't swim too my plate it was truly delightful. Husband had Cajun chicken again beautifully cooked and moist definitely not reheated. After speaking to the owners they had only taken over the night before, hats off to them if that's the level of customer service and food we would quiet happily become regulars

Very grumpy bar tender. Told us we needed to book first but lots of space so we had to look elsewhere.

Myself and two friends had a wonderful meal here. The service was also excellent and food reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere in the pub too. Would highly recommend. My friend and I had Cajun chicken and our other friend had scampi and chips, the chips were to die for !

My husband and I have frequented The Prince of Wales on many many occasions. Alice and Conor are very sociable helpful and will do whatever they can to make you welcome. The food is exceptional. Its so very very fresh and delicious. Always plenty on...

Food good (5 stars) but suffers from faded grandour syndrome and lack of soap in the toilets didnt help either.

Simply fantastic, a little haven of its own. Fabulous beer, service and food. The staff simply couldn't do enough for us and constantly went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the place, toilets had just been cleaned when we arrived! I would like to give 10 stars but it's not available! Thank You Connor & Alice! See you again soon

My hubby gary drinks here on a friday with his buddies but i went with him and we ate in there. The meal was great and the people who run it are great and friendly.

Very good food at a reasonable price coupled with good Gin and Tonic made it a worthwhile place to eat.

Lovely welcoming pub, great service and amazing food. Had the over 55's portion which was ideal for lunch.

We visited a dated market that Saturday morning and decided to go for some lunch. We had visited the Prince of Wales previously and had some bar food and when we arrived it was full. We spoke to the manager who told us that he took over managing the Public House several months earlier. We asked if we could book a table for lunch but he said they were fully booked however he could fit us in if we can vacate the table within 1 1/2 hours which we agreed. My wife chose a roast and I chose a burger and chips, both meals vere very tasty with great service.

Come here all the time with family and friends! Great food, great drink selection and great staff! Cannot recommend this pub enough for anyone looking for a nice meal and the best atmosphere.

Always a fantastic place to go for food and/or drink. Conor and Alice are always welcoming and friendly. Pub is dog friendly and baby friendly.. And the Sunday roast is 100% worth booking in for!

Been here over 10 times in the last few years. Always felt very welcome and the food has always been very good. Think it's dog friendly too as there is always a well bahaved dog somewhere in the pub. Keep up the good work!

We eat out almost every sunday, and have visited many local pubs we have had some very goods roasts, well this one tops the lot, lovely. A choice of a small roast for 7.95, or large for 10.95, great for us, as my wife prefers...
